I really dont understand the good reviews for breakfast. My family and I were led to a cramped back room with low ceilings. The tables were so close together that we ended up sitting on only one side so we had some room. I had a greek omelet that was completely tasteless except for huge chunks of feta cheese that seemed to have been tossed inside the folded omelet as an afterthought. The spinach that was cooked into the egg seemed to be all stems and most likely canned or frozen. My home-fries were a gluey bland mess as well and my bacon cold and undercooked. My wife had blueberry pancakes, which she split with our two year old. The pancakes were dry and tasted like cardboard. The syrup was from the cheapest of the cheap racks and tasted like simple sugar syrup. The side of sausage she ordered was disgusting. It was like biting into a meat sponge soak in grease that just FLOWED into your mouth with every bite. Not that we took that many bites. They obviously buy the cheapest ingredients they can find, regardless of quality, and it shows. We will not be going back again. Next time well take the short drive to the Airport Diner.

Hello my boyfriend and i wanted to go somewhere different and get something to eat. My boyfriend stays away from diner food and to make me happy we went to neptune diner on n prince st near the train station. He got the famous meatloaf with mashpotatoes and a beef soup. No bid deal right? Wrong .... the soup alone was so good. The broth of the soup was so amazing i couldnt believe it. Not your normal walmart canned soup. After finishing the meatloaf we ordered another meatloaf to go. As the drink we got a vanilla milk shake with wip cream on top and was so delicious all this home made food was a hidden treasure. Im sick of Chinese food or fast food mcdonalds making me half sick one hour after eating. Neptune diner with the very nice people that work there and the home made food is now a place with affordable prices. It made our day . Highly recommend this place and i give it a 5 star. See for yourself. Thank you neptune for doing what you do . Steel

This was my first time eating here and my experience was so so. I had the mushroom omelet with cheese and it was delicious. Couldve use a little more cheese but it was still good with the lil bit that was in there. The home fries were delicious. I had hot tea to drink and unfortunately the water was luke warm. When asked for another cup of hot water, I again got luke warm instead. The waitress seemed to take a very long time getting to us. We waited 10 mins for a to go box and then another 15 for our check before we started to complain. The restaurant wasnt busy at all at this time. Also, the seating was horrible. We were placed in the back corner booth and it felt like I was literally sitting up to the table with my back straight up. Not much room to move around and the guy behind me was moving around so much that I had a hard time eating and drinking my food as every time he moved, I moved with him. Very uncomfortable. Im not not sure I will be going back anytime soon.

Neptune Diner is my favorite diner. It is only a few blocks from my work place in Lancaster. Staff very friendly and the food is great!. If you love eggs and coffee this is the place. The eggs are high quality not processed. You can order your bacon just the way you like it cripsy or non-crispy. Another plus for this family owned diner. They serve Breakfast ALL DAY LONG unlike other restuarants you can only get breakfast in the morning. This diner is a icon in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. If you like just good old hometown diner food this is the place. Also if you frequent this diner you just might be surprise what celebrity just might pop in for a meal. It is a piece of Americana that is getting harder and harder to find. I highly recommend this experience to people who stll care about supporting small businesses that provide great food and service at a added value. Go ahead try them out and say Neffy sent us.

The waitress was fairly new and very nice but not very attentive. We were not checked on at all except when we called her over to get us some take home boxes and dessert. She never asked if we needed anything or if we needed refills. The food was okay. I had the chicken parmesan which was delicious but way took much for me for one meal. It also was a bit spicy for my taste. After a few bites my mouth and stomach were burning but honestly, the flavor was great. Others in my party were not so happy with their food. One had the gyro, one had the buffalo chicken wrap and the other the zip code burger. They all said their food was either too bland or had a strange flavor. My niece had the chicken and waffles and was very happy. Overall, the food was hit and miss and the service friendly but not very attentive. I would go back again for the chicken parmesan for sure.

took my Grandson there today to get a crab cake sandwich. had a crab cake sandwich at Roots auction a couple weeks age at neptune diner stand and it was delicious. thought i could get the same at the diner. called them ahead of time and ask them when we got there if it was the same as it was at roots. was told yes it was. was totally disappointed. it was no where close. it was like eating a crab flavored rice a roni cake. i was so disappointed i had to apologize to my grandson for it not being what was expected. we were nice and ate most of it without complaining to the staff. will never go there again or recommend any one go there for a crab cake! unless you like a crab flavored rice a roni cake!

The food is fresh, flavorful and the portions are HUGE. I always need a take out container to take home enough food for a second meal. When you consider the price covers two portions, the cost is more than reasonable. I would like to explore their dessert options (they look great) but am usually too full from eating my meal. I can say their Boston Cream Whoopie Pie is mighty tasty, with a sponge cake texture, lemony cream filling and a dark chocolate glaze - I split mine with two friends. I particularly like the service here - the frequent visitor is treated as a welcome friend.

I got a burger and the disco fries the other night and was not impressed. First off they didnt have any more fried chicken. Then I wanted to order take out and was told that I need to go there and pay first before they could start the food. When I asked if I could use my credit card over the phone they said they couldnt. So I rode down and paid. The price was ridiculous! It was almost $20 for a burger and fries! The one waitress was kind of rude too. I will not be going back anytime soon.
