Sir Marcus DeVille of Pottstown
DO NOT GO TO THE VALLEY FORGE CASINO RESORT ! I approached a black jack table, on a crowded Friday evening. All of the $15 tables were full, but this one had a husband (playing 3 spots) and a wife (she was playing 2 spots) I asked him if I could play one of his 3 spots, he said "No, I am playing all 3 spots) I then asked the dealer if I could play the one spot, it is not fair that a husband and wife are playing 5 of the 7 spots on the table. She said they have no rules about that, so I asked to speak to the pit boss. A woman approached me and I said that it was not fair, she said there is other tables opening up in 10 to 15 minutes. I said that is unacceptable that this guy was playing 3 spots. She was very rude to me, I said I come to this casino almost every Friday or Saturday, I live 5 minutes away. After she became rude, (she asked to have my players card... which I usually do not use, but I said why do you need to see my players card. She said "Well how do I know your here every Friday...) That is very rude to say something like that. The fact of the matter is, I dont use my players card, I dont need the free comps.... BIG MISTAKE Valley Forge Casino.... I happen to own a multi million dollar Excavating Company and did spend a lot of money there.... which now will be spent back in Atlantic City because of this incident. When her boss came over,he was very polite, dressed with a beautiful suit, and he agreed with me that this guy and his wife shouldnt be playing 5 spots. But it was too late, by now I was furious from the first pit boss, and her unprofessional attitude. I told the gentleman pit boss, its ok when you want me to park my new Jaguar out front for all to see, but it wont be there anymore. He also handled it very wrong... because he did nothing to keep my business. Although he agreed with me, he should have realized that I was extremely mad by this point. He should have offered me a dinner or something to ensure I would return, and again, I am a multimillionaire, so it is not the monetary value that matters, but the good faith gesture that would have made me happier. It takes a lot to make me write a bad review, but this was so unfair, and the subsequent poor treatment that all the casino bosses gave me, I feel that I will sit in my office and devote a week or so to writing bad reviews, so that maybe, just maybe, the casino will have some common sense and make it a policy that on a busy night, you cannot play two (and certainly not 3 places) unless its a slow night. You lost this customer for a very long time. I am sure over the years Ive spent hundreds of thousands of dollars in AC, but I tried to give it to the local casino, and this is what I get. So I will spread the word about my VERY BAD experience here, and hopefully I will deter enough people from going there to make a difference. So, in closing... to the casino.... I told the pit boss who I am, and the company I own.... maybe if you appologize to me, I may consider not posting more bad reviews, but if I do not get an appology, I will just continue writing as many recviews as I can. Remember the movie Pretty Woman, and the way she was treated.... you should be careful how you treat people, especially in a business such as yours, you never know when someone is extremely wealthy...... but you should treat everyone fairly..... which you didnt...... so in closing........ DO NOT GO TO VALLEY FORGE CASINO RESORT take the extra time and go to Atlantic City PS.... all the casinos in AC have a rule that if your playing more than one spot on a crowded night, they will ALWAYS ask you to only play one spot if more players want to join a table. Thanks for taking the time to read my review.

I stayed for the holiday weekend, and upon arriving I decided to go through the reviews as this was the only non booked hotel available for the 4th of July weekend, and I must admit that I was a little nervous after reading all the reviews that i came prepared to spray my room down if I needed to and even went as far as bringing lysol wipes with me lol. But I realized everyone has their own experiences and expectations when traveling. Upon arriving it was nothing more different than the casino hotels that I have stayed in when I went to Vegas. Of course you are going to have the aroma of smoke in the building as it is a Casino, but it was nothing that was too drastic or something to complain about. The employees were nice, and friendly as I have no complaints about them at all. My room was located on the 5th floor, and I was amazed at how huge my room was. It was clean, and it did not smell of smoke like I really thought it was based on the reviews, so my brand new glade spray did not come to use lol. I already had a refrigerator in my room so I did not have to request one so that was a plus, especially since I bring my own bottled waters etc whenever I go on trips. The casino was rather small and at night got quite packed and smokey but it was still a good experience, again it is nothing like the casinos in Vegas, so do not go with the expectations of it blowing your mind away or anything. I play slots not the table games, but I noticed that people were actually winning on the tables for any of you who do play those games. As far as getting into the casino, I received my players card to get in, and thought I was going to have some of the same issues as previous reviews that I read, they only carded me upon entrance once, and I remember having to leave out to go back to check my players card, and when coming back they did not card me again so I found no problems with the security there at all. So overall I give them a 5 star rating

I usually dont waste my time writing reviews, however, this was necessary. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I was a part of a wedding party, booked my room 3 weeks in advance, just to arrive for check-in and was told that they gave my room to someone in a large party (well, that large party was the party I was in!). In other words, someone who was a part of my party, did not book in advance and was able to get MY ROOM that I did book in advance. They sent me to another hotel and said they would pay for the stay.....we drove to this hotel (10-15 min drive) just to be told they are BOOKED and did not know Valley Forge was sending us to them, and actually said "they have to stop doing this". So, we had to go back to Valley Forge, got the run around and luckily my cousin (who was the bride) knew the manager there because she used to work there, and after 2 hrs of getting the run around, the manager was able to get us a hotel IN THE SAME BUILDING for free.....so we were sent to a completely different location for no reason, and the lady at the front desk even gave me attitude initially, as if she was having a bad night as is. I will say the manager not only gave us a free room but free breakfast the next morning as well. But, we ended up missing the party that we came there for in the first place! I have never experienced such poor service. What was the point in booking the room if it would so freely be given to someone else.
