Went here for dinner, and in a nutshell, we kept waiting for Candid Camera to appear and let us know we were the butt of a joke... We arrived and were seated outside, our waitress came and took our drink orders... we then waited about 10 minutes before a different waitress showed up, with the wrong drinks, and explained that she had just been told "she had to take this table" at the last minute and "had no idea what we wanted." Ok... well, I wanted a different beer than you just brought me and my friend was told the beer he ordered they actually dont have so he had to make a different selection... which he did. After another 10 minutes the waitress returned to take our order... A Club Sandwich and California Wrap with Potato Skin Appetizer.... 10 minutes later our waitress comes and says we had "an old menu" and that the "Potato Skins should have been crossed off" because they didnt actually have them... ok.... then well just take the sandwiches (that we ordered 10 minutes ago). I then went to use the restroom- going inside the building I was immediately struck by the foul odor which took me a minute to Id but it was something like a cross between a nursing home and a stale bar that still lets people smoke (more on that later). When I asked the hostess where the restroom was she giggled, shrugged her shoulders, and said she had "no idea because today is my first day." OK... I guess Ill just wander around and find it myself... Then the food came... the club was ok, not great but not bad... the California wrap was basically a grilled panini with slimy chicken that was so hot it couldnt even be eaten (its supposed to be cold). Just as we were getting our food a group of people came out of the bar area and sat at a table next to us ( we were eating on the front "porch"). They proceeded to light up cigarettes and drink their beers as we inhaled their second hand smoke and tried to gag down our meal... at that point we threw up our hands and asked for the check. While waiting for the check we met the "chef" who wandered out in his shorts, T-Shirt, and Head-Band with a plate of Nacho Chips in his hands, asked if we ordered the "Crab Dip", to which we responded hell no... and he wandered off... we promptly paid the bill, left our food essentially uneaten, and prayed neither of us ended up with food poisoning (which as of this writing we did not. Save yourself the trouble- eat somewhere else.

We had a reservation for a party of 15 to 20 on 2/16/13. When we called in our reservation, the employee NEVER told us they were having the first ever comedy dinner event. Our reservation was at 6:30. The waitress took forever to get our drinks to us (she was too busy serving the comedy room) and had a bad attitude from the onset. The folks in our party that ate the buffet were enjoying their dinner whenever they were ready to eat. The poor people that chose to order off the menu waited over one hour for their dinners to arrive! We made the mistake of askin our server where the dinners were and she snapped "We have 300 people in the comedy room abnd your dinner will be here when the kitchen gets it out!" One of our party asked aboit the crab cakes and was told by server she doesnt know, she doesntn eat seafood. When this gal asked about the crab imperial, the snotty server came unglued and reiterated louder and more annoyed "I dont know - I DONT EAT SEAFOOD!" Then the Pikes policy is to add 20% tip no matter how service was. I have a problem paying 20% tip when I get the buffet and am serving mself. The buffet was VERY good. Dont think well patronize this establishment again, manger was apologetic, but in effective. Too bad . . . .

All I can say for this place is the gravy fries were good and my server, Michelle was attentive. Our meal went sour when we were placed next to the kitchen doors, left to hear the cooks scream vulgar obscenities and blare the rap music. We got our orders in. Wings and gravy fries for my husband, and a cheesesteak wrap and gravy fries for me. He had no complaints about his food, but my wrap had no flavor and was dry. From here is when it got really bad. I asked to talk to the manager due to the increase of use of the word f***. She came out and acknowledged this is an ongoing problem that they are working on. I went back to my table and heard her ask them to stop. Thats when the cook said that I could suck his d*** and I was a p****. The manager did not stop this cook from saying these things and allowed him to stay in the kitchen. Well we stopped eating and said we were done. The server brought us our full bill to pay. My husband handed her the card and we continued to listen to the kitchen call us names. This was the worst dining experience I have ever had. I have never experienced such harassment and disregard from a manager in my life! NEVER WOULD I STEP FOOT IN THEIR RESTAURANT AGAIN!!

We visit Gettysburg several times each year. Since running into The Pike Inn Restaurant several years ago it was always one of our favorite stops for a nice dinner. My husband always got the Delmonico steak. Their food seems to have gone downhill. Two years ago when we stopped his Delmonico steak was fatty, I ordered the Nacho Salad & the meat tasted burnt. We decided to give it another try this year hoping it got better. It didnt! I ordered the Nacho salad, this time the meat wasnt burnt but there was very very little of it. My husbands Delmonico steak was so fatty that he wound up with a plate full of fat and very very little meat to eat. He also didnt get the salad that came with his meal. We let the waitress know this thinking she would give him something off of the $26.99 they charged for a plate of fat. She said the salad is included in the price of the meal and made no adjustment to the bill. We felt she should have given him some compensation beings she is the one who forgot to give him his salad. After our lousy meal my husband was still hungry so we went to DQ so he could get a hamburger. We will never go there again... it was not worth the time or the money spent!

I thought that I would give this place another try, but no go. I ordered the fish and chips the fish is square and very thin and deep fried in oil that wasnt the right temperature so that both pieces of fish were just so greasy I had to squish it out into my napkin until my napkin was full and could not absorb any more grease. Also had the crab soup which was so thick and coagulated it was more like a dip. Ask for ranch dressing for my fries that it was that bitter-tasting commercialized Ranch and when I asked about it they said the regular Ranch was too expensive both the ranch and my tartar sauce were terrible. My husband ordered the chicken, which was also fried very greasy but he liked it. My mom ordered the bowl of crab soup. When they brought that out to her, it was like warm milk with no other potatoes or salary or any other items in it and very little crab and was flavorless. They told her that they had just made the brand new part of it for her, however it was obvious they didnt thicken it up or add seasoning. This being said, their buffets are usually very good.
