A GREAT place to go when youre not in a hurry. Its a mother, father, son business and they do EVERYTHING. The father is the cook, and he cooks everything FRESH, FRESH, FRESH, from scratch. They are very friendly and the food is amazing. Eating here is a slow process, sooo if you go in thinking youll just have a "quick bite", you may be disappointed in the timeline, but the food NEVER disappoints...you simply have to go in when youre not in a rush. Also, every time weve been there, as the night winds down the father has come out of the kitchen and goes table to table greeting people. Hes a very nice man, with a great sense of humor. All three really make you feel like youre part of the family....such a warm and friendly experience. I cant recommend this place highly enough. Once, I called to ask how late they were open. The son answered the phone and answered my question by saying "The sign on the door says open til 10 PM, but were Greek, if the wine is still flowing, were open!" Love this place!!! :)

We had a very good meal with good service. The owners are active and wander around to make sure things are going well. We had the Gyros dinner and Roast Lamb dinner. The Gyros was as good or better than any weve had, a large portion on the dinner version. It came with soup or salad, the bean soup was excellent. Also had potato wedges, tomatoes, pita, and tsatsiki sauce. We saw the Gyros sandwich being served to others and it was a smaller portion, no soup or salad, fries instead of wedges, and no potatoes. The sandwich is $3 less than the dinner so it was reasonable. The Lamb came with soup or salad, the chicken soup was unique with a lemon flavor and was delicious. It came with a very large portion of potato wedges. Baklava for dessert was to die for!!!. Well definitely be back, its a small casual BYOB and as long as youre not looking for big time ambience, I think youll enjoy it.

Hardcore Greek menu featuring more unusual dishes than youd get from Greek Diner. This is a small, intimate restaurant, and in that respect reservations are advised. Everything is made from scratch, and delicious, but service can be a bit slow - Staff is aware but isnt willing to compromise, so strap in for at least a 2 hour experience. Everything Ive tried has been good (Sausage Platter, Hellenic Eggplant, Grilled Soutsoukaki Dinner). The Htipiti Dip is a must for those that crave the "hot stuff". The Veggie Sampler is so big that my table of 4 had trouble finishing it. There is an actual spit in the kitchen where they roast the lamb on premises (go ahead, peek thru the kitchen door). There are daily specials, even including whatever the chef came up with that day - If you came just to get a gyro, youre probably missing the point.

We found the restaurant by accident, looking for Greek food. From the outside building does not look great but it is definitely worth to walk in and try some or all of their offerings. There is a nice atmosphere in a small but comfortable locality in addition to delicious, very authentic tasting dishes. It reminds me of many restaurants in Europe where you enjoy the entire evening with friends and/or family. It is not a "fast" food restaurant, every thing seams to be made from scratch and takes some time. Evenings are not for people who are in a hurry, At lunch they do offer a buffet. The only thing missing for an absolutely relaxed and perfect evening is the Greek wine (but it is a BYOB).

The restaurant industry is very difficult to break into especially in an area that is either fine dining or chain restaurants. Grapevine is a polo shirt restaurant with t-shirt prices. The decor is very greek and so is the staff. Theyre extremely happy to explain all the items on the menu, and have a profound love and pride in their Greek food. They have non-Greek items on the menu, but they get upset if you order one of those items. The food was delicious and the portions were perfect. This is one of those restaurants that if people break away from the italian restaurants or the chains it would take off. I really enjoyed it, Im recommending it to you and Ill be going back.

Terrible food, and an over-bearing host. We entered an empty restaurant, with one large table having menus set out on it, making it obvious that it was reserved. Guy asked if we have reservations. When we reply that we dont, he sighs, looks at over the empty tables, and says that he has to figure out where to put us. He then looms over us, explaining everything on the menu, which already has written explanations. Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup was blander than bland. Shrimp in a baked dish were still frozen, while the guy insists they are fresh shrimp. Shrp dish was then microwaved. We sent it back, and left.

Dimitrius and Maria were ready to lock up when the weather was bad a few weeks ago on a Friday night when my husband and I arrived at the BYOB. They stayed open for us. They introduced us to wonderful homemade Greek cuisine, their homemade mousaka was incredible. Everything was fabulous. Everything was priced for real people. We highly recommend and are going back tomorrow with a party of nine!

Visiting from out of town and had a great experience. Very friendly service and our food was fabulous. They do almost everything from scratch and it shows. They mentioned that during peak hours service may take awhile due to family owned and homemade, but we we didnt experience any long delays. BYOB.

All I can think of saying is WOW! I seriously cannot put to words how good this food tastes, you have to try it for yourself. I highly recommend the buffet as the owner said there are usually dishes not offered on the menu. The atmosphere was so pleasant; like I was eating at a relatives house.

Very good food at a reasonable price in the middle of Downingtown. The menu is very extensive but changes as the owners get used to the local clienteles preferences. We tried lamb, chicken and pork between us and it was all good. BYOB. Desserts were delicious too. Very friendly owners and staff.

Food was delicious, atmosphere was great and very reasonably priced. There is nothing like a family owned restuarant. The preparation of the food takes longer and you will spend more time here as a result. What a great benefit if you want to enjoy your courses, company and have a few drinks.

This is a fantastic little place. The food is authentic. We have gone for lunch and dinner, ordering different entrees each time. Outstanding. Portions are very generous. The atmosphere is cozy. Owners and wait staff are very friendly. Prompt service. Recommend the restaurant very highly!

Most annoying waiter on the planet that never stops talking so loud. Worse of all, hair on my food and he says it came from the kitchen. At least they did not let us pay for the meal with all the hair but will not return. Bad lunch buffet. No takeout menus.

Ive eaten tons of Mediterranean food growing up, and Grapevine Cuisine is like coming home! Homemade, fresh, and steaming hot food that you get to eat and not have to clean the dishes when youre done :) We will definitely be back!
