I cant even begin to express how awesome of an experience it was to work with Alixe from The Flour Child! She was recommended to us by our venue (The Cameron Estate Inn) and Im so glad she was! Her cake is delicious (moist, just the right amount of sweetness, mouth-watering) and she is SUCH a sweetheart. Our cake tasting with her was so much fun. I brought my mom and we literally couldnt stop eating haha! She was very easy to communicate with and answered all of my questions promptly. She has a great working relationship with the Cameron Estate Inn which meant I really didnt have to get involved much as she knew exactly what she needed to do! I was literally blown away with how beautiful my cake looked the day of the wedding, what a wonderful surprise! I think her cost is extremely reasonable (we honestly thought the cost would be a lot more!). I would definitely recommend her to others. Thank you again Alixe from the bottom of my heart!!!

Alixe, owner of The Flour Child, is so bubbly and creative. She was recommended by our florist so we decided to just go for a trial. Oh my goodness, the cakes and frosting are amazing! It was really hard to narrow them down. Alixe allowed us to select 2 cakes, 2 frosting, and 2 fillings. We went with chocolate cake and cream cheese filling/frosting and vanilla cake with lemon merengue filling with vanilla frosting. They were both out of this world! Our guests really loved the cakes! Because of the hot weather, Alixe did a faux cake which worked perfectly. The rest of the cake was scored and ready to be served which made it easy for our food handlers. I highly recommend Alixe as shes truly talented at what she does. She arrived and set up promptly. You will not regret booking The Flour Child!

Been eating since she opened and Alixe has been nothing short of amazing. I used her for over a dozen events and the cakes and cupcakes have been nothing short of amazing. What I loved best is her out of the box thinking and adventurous decorating. Everything I have thought of she has created. Now that I am getting married I didnt even bother looking elsewhere. If you are short on design ideas she has a flickr page full of the cakes they have done the past few years. Keep up the great work ladies!!!

The Flour Child did our wedding cake and our rehearsal dinner cake. The rehearsal cake looked great but tasted awful. The wedding cake looked bad and only tasted mediocre. The wedding cake was lumpy and uneven. The decoration looked half-assed (like it was done at the last minute). I was seriously unhappy with the results. Want proof that it wasnt good? Both cakes were barely touched.

We had The Flour Child make our wedding cake. The price was the best that we found around here, and the quality could not be better! The cake looked exactly like we pictured it (the icing looked like birch bark with our initials carved into it), and it was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great, but reasonably priced cake for any occasion!

Had our wedding cake and cupcakes made here and just picked up our anniversary cake. They were so great through the entire process and we are still hearing about how great the cupcakes were a year later. The cookies are also delicious, and the trash cakes are one of my favorites too. I havent had something I dont like.

I had a one year birthday cake made for my son, and they exceeded my expectations. The cake was delicious, very moist and delicious filling and frosting! I asked them to put a couple cars on it and they designed it so adorable with cars, a bus, truck etc around it. I will definitely be using this place again!

Since Ive discovered this bakery earlier this year, Ive ordered 4 2-tiered cakes, cupcakes, cookies and other sweet treats. I have received many compliments on design and of course flavor! Love their trash cakes (leftover cake). Best way to try different flavors.

Great bakery -- excellent service, delicious cake. Purchased a 10" round cake for my 6 year-olds b-day. He loved it and so did all at the party. Everyone, parents and kids alike, ate a piece and thought is was delicious...Will definitely return for my next cake.
