One day my husband said, "Lets try that new ice cream shop over there." It was love at first site. "Scooped" is an old fashion ice cream shop inside a quaint house. The owner takes enormous pride in putting the highest quality ingredients into his creations, and you can taste the difference. We offered the idea of Baileys Ice cream (which is amazing) and told him about a Baileys imitation brand which is less than half the price. He actually bought Baileys instead. He really cares about crafting the best possible ice cream. John, the owner is really nice and we always look forward to talking to him. His son also works at the shop and is as warm and engaging as his father. You are going to love this ice cream shop. Pumpkin with gingersnap cookies and Baileys are my favorites.

This ice cream is so delicious! I had the Guinness Stout one time, and the pumpkin pie the next. Oh, just thinking of it makes my mouth water. The pumpkin pie had little crunchy bits of gingersnaps or something in it. Just a little. Just the right amount. The Guinness...how to describe it? So weird, but sooo good. The owner was there and served us himself once. Really nice guy. And the next time a teenage boy served us. He was also very nice, polite,and friendly. I need to think up lots of excuses to go there now so I can try every flavor. "Its my birthday. Its my dogs birthday," etc.

BY FAR THE BEST ICE CREAM IN CHESTER COUNTY IF NOT, ALL THE SURROUNDING AREAS. THE OWNER TRIES TO BUY LOCAL, BEST INGREDIENTS (IN MANY CASES ORGANICALLY GROWN, RAISED,ETC) . IT IS FRESH! ICE CREAM MADE YESTERDAY YOU CAN EAT TODAY! THEY MAKE LOVELY CAKES AND PIES (TRY AN ALTERNATIVE TO A TRADITIONAL PUMPKIN PIE). IT WAS A BIG HIT AT OUR HOUSE. THE EMPLOYEES ARE FRIENDLY AND TALK TO YOUR CHILDREN. BEWARE, YOU WILL GO BACK FOR MORE.

This is the best, local, home-made ice cream around! They always have a new, interesting flavor to try, but their classics are so good, you can always count on a great cup or cone. Even though I am an "adult," my favorite is Cookie Monster, which is like a mix between cookies n cream and chocolate chip cookie dough in a rich vanilla base, just lightly tinted blue - hence the name.
