Its a 24 hour diner, but yet a whole group of my coworkers decided to go there at 8:30pm. There was 7 of us in total and right when we went in the lady gave us an issue and attitude because of how big our group was. Then she slammed every menu down on our table as if it killed her to serve a huge group of minoritys. Not only that, but we ended up waiting almost 10min just to finally see our waitress who never introduced herself and gave us attitude too for no apparent reason. Clearly this was already rubbing off to all of us that they had an issue with us since we came in. So once ordering our waitress sounds annoyed cause one of my coworkers kept asking about the menu items since they had little descriptions and once she finally gets all our orders in, she disappears the rest of the time till our food was ready. Didnt ask us if we needed refills. Nothing. We had to physically call her back over just to have our drinks refilled. Then she put me down for the wrong food and then gave me an issue to fix it when I proved her wrong by showing her on the menu that she clearly gave me the wrong order and then tried to fixed it by charging me extra for the new plate. No thank you. A real customer service associate would have apologized and fixed the order, but no clearly they dont care about their customer base that much. First time we all been there, and never again will I go there. Very rude and unpleasant and made it feel like it was a racial issue, but being the people that we are we hope she enjoyed her tip considering she didnt deserve it.

Under NEW Greek ownership.....Barbara and I went there 2 weeks ago, expecting something similar to what we had over 11 months ago. What a pleasant surprise we had. The menu was upgraded, and similar to other area restaurants. I ordered the broiled seafood combo, and I really loved it. Now, picture when you are supposed to get a crab cake, flounder, stuffed shrimp and stuffed mushroom, it is usually pretty basic. But, what I had on my plate was 3 REALLY GOOD crab cakes (one by itself, one on a shrimp, and one on a mushroom...and they were all the same size. Each almost like a baseball.) I rate these crab cakes #2 in our tour of the lehigh valley restaurants...and I am quiet picky when it comes to crab cakes. Also, the Salad Bar was much better than most in the surrounding area. The produce was moist, a good variety, and quite fresh. We will be back this weekend, and I plan to try the stuffed grape leaves that can be found in the salad bar. This is a new era for this restaurant, and the new owner is working at the top of the order. The music could be upgraded from the 1950s to the, say, 1980s, but the music is free. Good waitress, good food, a good menu, at a fair price. The new owner makes the difference. Maybe we will see you there. Gerard and Barbara Show less

Beware all you Half Off the Valley customers! This restaurant (the Ham Fam) will NOT honor your certificate, even though, in good faith, you paid $15.75 for your $25 certificate. The man at the cash register (owner? manager?) said, "No, this was for the previous owner. We dont take this. The previous owner did this right before he sold to us...he knew he was selling." That was his excuse for making us pay again for our meal that we thought was already covered. He said thats why its not a good idea to buy on-line. Let me say that I have bought these Half Off the Valley certificates several times, and this is the first time Ive gotten ripped off. Its no wonder the Ham Fam parking lot was almost empty at 5:30 p.m.. This place used to be decent, but has really gone downhill, and I have no intention of ever eating there again, and I know others with the same opinion. Its nothing special, and the prices are too high for what you get. Youre better off going to the Trivet, the Starlite Diner, Queen City Diner, the Sunset Grille...

The beloved Ham Fam…this place is legendary. And as usual nothing spoils a legend like experiencing it for yourself. The first thing I noticed was it is just as goofy-looking inside as out, which was sort of charming. But by the time we got to our booth the dinginess , closeness, and tackiness had already worn thin. The food: bottom tier. Waffle House caliber. The salad bar passed, but the soup was worse than condensed Campbell’s and the seafood was worse than the stuff in a frozen kid’s meal. The price was NOT right either and this ordeal was drawn out with slow service. Verdict: This place is a drum corps legend…keep it that way by not going inside! Maybe just get something from the desert case if you have to.

We had friends visit us from Florida for the Army Navy Game. Before their flight out they wanted to try a good diner... I have been at the Hamilton Family Restaurant before and liked it. We all had the specials, 3 Fish and Chips and 1Halupkii (forgive my spelling)... Everything was FANTASTIC. From the service to the meal. Waitress was eager to help, nice job! The owner even made a stop by our table... NICE GUY. We will absolutely return. Very reasonable.... Four of us ate, each special came with the very well stocked salad bar, soup, vegetabel for about $8.95 per meal.

This is the WORST place I have ever eaten!!!! Staff was rude, salad bar was messy and dirty, the table she sat us at was sticky and the seat had syrup on it that I sat in along with sticky menus. We sat next to the fish tank cause of my kids and it was dirty inside and out, poor fishes!! Then the food came! OMG, GROSS! My burger was a hockey puck. I had to ask twice and wait about five minutes for ketchup. I mean, we all ordered a burger with fries. I think needing ketchup would be a natural assumption! I will never go back and I will urge everyone I know NOT to go!

Father passed away Christmas night 12/25/15. Called Hamilton Family Restaurant on 12/27/15 to plan a dinner after the funeral on 12/28/15. Pete the manager was so helpful and helped us pull off this last minute dinner. The food was wonderful, and everyone was impressed with the servings. The waitress were so helpful. Want to thank Pete and his staff for helping us to pull off this last minute dinner. Would recommend Hamilton Family Restaurant for any occasion. Five Stars for Pete and his staff and the Restaurant.

So bad I cant give this place 0 stars. The food was obviously not good just by looking at it, I couldnt even finish my plate I order a chicken parmigiana that comes with pasta and obviously the pasta wasnt fresh without any flavor and the sauce was the worse it taste like it was from a can. If youre looking for a good dinner to eat at night with great food go to Top Dinner I just went to this place to try something different but it was the worst I ever had in a dinner for a long time.
