Will never stop at another Perkins if I can help it after my experience here. Stopped on a long trip with my father. We were seated promptly, but then we waited, and waited, and waited. Finally our order was taken, and then the waiting started over. The place was less than half full, but we waited over 30 min. for our meal once the order was taken. We only ordered sandwiches. Had I known the area of Pittston better, I would have left and gone someplace else. As it was I had my 87 year old father with me, and he was hungry, so we waited it out. Once the food finally showed up it was not very good, but at that point we were starving so we ate. Service was nonexistent the entire time after we were seated; took forever to take our order, once they did it took way longer to be served, we even waited a long time to get the check (I asked for it 3 times before it finally came), and drink refills, forget about it. Not once did anyone come by and ask if we wanted a refill. As my 87 year old father, who is suffering from dementia, kept saying for the rest of the weekend, “take Perkins off the list.” He can’t remember his kid’s names at times, but weeks later he still remembered the horrible service we received at Perkins. If you have nothing but time on your hands, and you like mediocre food, feel free to stop, but if you are traveling like we were, stay clear of this place.

we ordered in advance and food was brought out hot + perfect as ordered. our drinks were brought out within a minute too. the turkey portions were very generous, potatoes just right consistency, with a tasty gravy, just the right amount. the green beans with bacon pcs were good. you cant beat the service at this perkins in pittston...all the staff are eager to meet your expectations and cheerful and efficient. My favorite female server is Megan, who tries doubly hard to mske everything just right for my son, who has autism, and who is not always patient. Megan makes it a point to remember how he prefers his food presentation, and she promptly refills his juice, as many times as he empties them. we also like the dickson city perkins for some of the same reasons. the management and hosts are also friendly + they know of difficulties my son has when the dining rooms are busiest and noisier, so they offer the back dining room, even open it up when normally it wouldnt be used..just for us. so perkins restaurants are our favorite local family type restaurants.

Its really too bad that I cant "Daypart" the ratings stars. If you go at lunchtime the service is all right. Then again, I usually am there when the Society of Broadcast Engineers Chapter II holds their meetings in the separate room at this Perkins and maybe we are so busy talking AM FM and TV that I dont notice a long wait. I usually order breakfast. Perkins does serve breakfast all day. So for lunch time I would give it three stars. Dinner time is another story. While our order was taken fairly promptly, It was 40 minutes by the clock before our order was served. It was a Thursday night so the place was not that busy. So Dinner gets one star. "Hated it". We will never go back there again for dinner.

ME,MY WIFE ,AND DAUGHTER ,AROUND NOON,MY DAUGHTER WANTED PANCAKES,LOOKED VERY DRY,MY WIFE IT WAS NOT WELL LIKED SHE WANTED ,I ORDERED THE SAMPLER,LOOKED GOOD,BUT SERVED ME ,VERY BAD SAUCES I WAS EATING STRANGE SMELL ,TASTE,I HAD ALREADY EATEN A PIECE OF CHICKEN,CHEESE STICK,CALLED OVER WAITRESS DID NOT EVEN SEEM CONCERNED,DID NOT OFFER ANYTHING OFF BILL,WENT TO PAY AND THE MANAGER IS SAYING IT WAS NOT BAD,I GOT SICK THE FOLLOWING DAY,STOMACH PAINS,SORRY TO SAY RUNS,ONLY WAY I KNOW HOW TO SAY ,I WOULD NOT EVER GO BACK,I DID NOT TAKE ANY LEGAL ACTION,FOR SICK,FOOD POISONING ,A DAY OF WORK,JUST AVOID THEM.

I think this is the right location, Sue is manager. I was seated quickly and served promptly despite it was fairly busy at 2AM Saturday morning. The cook did a marvelous job on the presentation of an omelette! It was obvious caring about details was practiced. Very good coffee, you get your own pot so no waiting/asking for refills, potatoes were all cooked the same and flavorful, pancakes were yummy, manager was always present and very warm. Waitress was the same and very professional. A+

Though the food was pretty good, the service was mediocre. Our waitress was definitely not on top of things despite it being fairly slow (Wednesday morning at 11am). We also got overcharged, though the manager was happy to void the extra charges. He was very nice, but the waitresses were slacking. I much prefer the Perkins in Wilkes Barre

Staff had no real sense of urgency i.e dirty plates left on tables while staff were on there phones in the kitchen area. Food was ok, except for my toast, very undertoasted . Im not expecting a 5 star experience but leaving our dirty plates, droping the check while in the middle of the meal, vevy subpar experience.

Great staff, very friendly , always helpful - food is fresh, delicious and I love how they mix older favorites with new items , offering low calorie items - all with good prices and great service. Also so very clean! And- love,love,love the chocolate pie and banana nut muffins!

Have been to this particular Perkins a few times and the service is always fast and friendly. Standard menu for a Perkins, but they do have a bakery section it by the register. Only downside here is if you have to turn North on 315 on your way out... Good luck!

I make a point to stop at this restaurant each time I travel to the New England States. I am very pleased with the service and food. I always want to get back on the road as soon as I can. I love that the coffee is on the table. Thanks

It is a standard Perkins with friendly staff and fast service. They also have a rack of birthday cards just inside the door for sale just in case you forgot one when bringing a friend or family member for a quick meal out.

It wasnt busy but took 20 min to take our order. After 50 min we still hadnt received any food so we left. Wish I could give it zero stars, 1 star is way too generous and unearned!

I ordered the "jumbo shrimp" here. It was $12.00. There was only 5 shrimp medium sized. Dont buy it.
