Walking around downtown area with my best friend Ben getting stuff put into place for name change because of my depression and anxiety about my wallet stolen from my purse a few nights ago is a struggle but its a good day for us because of our depression that were continuously compassionate and empathetic to others who have depression and narcolepsy in ones own life that Im constantly thinking about my Best friend Ben and my friend Mark Sweeney and our new roommate Jessie Bolen. I tried getting a special tea for Ben and I but we didnt have enough money so we had another house coffee. Later on Ben and I are going to go to our favorite place and spend time by ourselves because of our depression of Chris Key and several other people as well that we both just need time away from people as well.

Foodie find! This is a charming neighborhood coffee house with Mexican-inspired flavors. Stopped in the first time b/c it happened to be near our hotel. Got a horchatta latte that was so memorable we came back the next day to grab some breakfast for the road. The champurrado (like a chocolate-cinnamon oatmeal) was delicious and warmed me up inside. The tamales (we had the veggie and a mushroom-chipotle) were homemade. Every. Bite. Was. A. Joy. Flavorful salsa too. They also have chicken mole and other meat options. And the chocolat-chip muffin was also moist and tasty. The other items in the bakery case - including a really awesome looking flan - also looked tempting but I could feel myself gaining weight just by looking at this point. Highly recommend!

So yummy! Its a small coffee shop, but cozy and the staff are friendly! I told the cashier that I had never been here before, so she recommended the cafe de olla and I also got a spinach and cheese tamal. No regrets! So delicious! The coffee is spicy and sweet. I got it hot, but they sell bottled cold versions as well, which they suggested different ways to mix it to make it the different ways they drink it "at home." The tamal is hot and very moist. I have never had it before, so unfortunately I dont have anything to compare it to, but I will definitely be back to try them all!

Im only giving this review because the guy working this morning cheated me out of what Id ordered. He gave me an 8 or 12 oz Hazelnut White Chocolate Mocha, but charged me for a 16 oz drink. I dont know if he was having a bad morning or felt interrupted, but this is the first time Ive had a bad experience there. In fact, just a few days ago the woman working there was very kind and super friendly...and she made a great drink! The dude in the v-neck and cap could learn a lot from her about customer service and competency.

Went here on a Saturday morning to grab a quick breakfast. The lady behind the counter is so depressed looking. The least enthusiastic customer service Ive ever had in portland. I asked for water while eating my breaksgast, the waitress told me "our complementary water is over there". The water is dirty so are the cups. The wait staff seem to be more friendly to the "usually suspects" only. Right next to me another patron who spoke Spanish received a lot better service. Will never stop by again. Not even to pee.

Cute shop but not so friendly staff. Had to stop by the DMV and they have no restroom. My young son had to go very bad. We ran over to the coffee shop to use the restroom where we kindly asked and the girl working said she would not give my son the bathroom key until I bought something. I understand the bathroom is for paying customers, however for a child there should be exceptions. Also, she came across very rude. It was so unnecessary. Have some class!!

Good enough to start a Revolución! Im amazed this little gem hasnt been discovered by the masses. REVOLUCIÓN is the quintessential Portland Coffee house with a Mexican twist. The Coffee is Fair Trade and Excellent. The Pastries are to die for! Bored with espresso? REVOLUCIÓN has a variety of inventive concoctions and tradition Mexican fare. The prices are very reasonable and the service welcoming. They are located next to the Hotel Modera.

A hidden gem of a coffee spot and one of my favorites! They have some great options for food and drink. Dont be afraid to try something different (I recommend the Champurado!). The staff is friendly and helpful. Its a small shop, but theres about 20 seats, including some comfy chairs. Their tres leches is quite good too (though youll want a big appetite or a friend to split a piece with!). Enjoy!

We bought a groupon as we were traveling on a budget. And it was just fabulous. It was calm and mellow inside. The music was perfect for enjoying your breakfast. She had great choices and reasonable prices. We went back the next day and loved everything we had even my 3 year old. Top faves were the hot chocolate (its the bomb). And I was a huge fan of the cafe de olla.

Friendly staff and quick service. Not your traditional empanada dough (they use more of a croissant dough which is more moist but a lot more flakey) but the spinach & potato is full of flavor. Their horchata is a little too sweet for me even with a shot of espresso, but great staff and a quiet, cozy place to get some work done for an hour.

Its not Starbucks. Do I have to say anything else? Im no expert, but a friend told me that Revolucion has the most authentic Mexican coffee drinks (and some food, like rice pudding and tres leches cake) outside of Mexico City. I can highly recommend the atole drink thing. I dont know what it is, but you definitely wont find it at Starbucks.

Staff made me an small champurrado for me to try since Id never tried it. Became my favorite -- great morning start, filling for a drink. Looking forward to it in the winter. Mango chai was also a nice surprise. The cafe de olla with lavender was a perfected iced summer drink. Great prices, especially for quality.

There are a TON of coffee shops in Portland, but Revolución might be my favorite. Not only do they have some unique, tasty Mexican pastries (Marionberry empanada!), But also solid espresso drinks and a comfy atmosphere. Came here twice in a four day trip because the pastries were just that good.

The food and drinks were great. The person behind the counter seemed a little rushed but it was pretty busy when I was there. My least favorite part was the lack of seating. I ended up finding a seat outside but if youre looking to sit down for a while, this might not be a good place for you.

You know their coffee is fantastic but today was my last day here. Over 20 minutes to just put my order in the toaster, extremely rude girl at the counter and just no apologies. I want to love this place. But seriously 30 minutes to heat up a Ham & Cheese Pantzin. Ridiculous.

The coffee is good here but I highly recommend trying the food. My favorites are the flan or breakfast burritos. Service is always great whether youre staying or getting a coffee to go. I also like the music they play. Good for meeting a friend but not good for groups.
