the 6/20/11 person rating it generous scoops must have been there on the perfect day. JEMs needs to get a grip, and quickly. I am not kidding, after ordering a double scoop in a waffle cone the employee measured/weighed the cone then proceeded to scrape off about 25percent of the top scoop until it weighed the appropriate amount. For a mom-n-pop type shop their service better be equal or better than their product and neither was the case. One employee was busy working on another persons order and asked their co-worker to help us. The response came with a "oh sure ok...do you guys know what you want yet" Then to have a lopsided cone, scraped apart to get an exact weight. I cant start telling enough people about what an ice-cream joke JEMs is. . . . Anybody passing through town is best to stop well before Main Street - do NOT NOT NOT stop at JEMs-is-a-Joke.

I am a permanent kid I think because my favorite flavors are; coconut cream, peppermint, bubblegum, pop rocks, and birthday cake :) Jem 100 is the best little ice cream shop we have found since we moved to the Valley when I was 12. My Daddy would bring us from Carlton just to come here and we always left with smiles. These sorts of places are so far and few between, but they are where so many of us have created long lasting memories as kids. Going out to get ice cream with our Dads or Grandpas; licking the melting bubblegum ice cream from the side of the cone before it drips down your hand. Playing music on a jukebox; standing on your toes to see all the flavors through the glass. Thank you Jem 100 for nourishing the child in us all ;)

Ive been coming here since I was a little kid, and Ive always loved it so much! My parents used to come here with friends in college and they love it as well. I am so impressed with the general ambiance here; I have rarely seen another restaurant with such friendly employees and delicious food! The fun decorations and classic music make everything a hundred times better too!

Great spot for the family and for the couples. Or if youre felling like have a boys night out, Jemm 100 is your place. Fun fact, this is where me and my girlfriend f 2 years had our first date. So again, great spot. Also the I side is riddled with old time posters and old time music, even from the King of Rock himself, Mr Presley Highly recommended

Typical old style burger joint. Burgers, fries, and shakes anyone? Burgers are well done, maybe a little too done. Overall, burgers are customizable and favorable. Their seasoned fried are great, traditional curly fry. They have over a dozen flavors of ice cream. Much of the flavors are those found in the super markets.

Jem 100 is like an old-fashioned diner (think red vinyl booths) that is popular for its generous scoops of ice cream and the hamburgers, whose meat comes from local farms. Also on the menu are hot dogs, chicken strips and chili. The food here is made to order (a good thing), so expect a bit of a wait after you order.

When I went in, I bought a milkshake and the lady that made the milkshake must of been a magician because I saw her put ice cream there and mix it but when I got it, it was almost straight milk. Dont get a Milshake from the magician named Katrina she takes the ice cream out of your milkshake. #90%milk

Decent food at a decent price. Local for almost four decades now, which is pretty cool. A bit run down, most of the chairs need some reupholstery love. The locals can be a bit crude at times, but the staff is always friendly. Worth a stop in for a little vintage nostalgia.

Favorite spot to bring the kids for a treat. And the not-really-still-kids. Burgers are stacked high and very affordable. The owners do so much for the community, always present at events for kids. Newberg is quite fortunate to have this "Jem" of an eatery.

Order a banana split, they start to make it. Get about a quarter done, go to get a banana (Who puts in a banana in after you start, anyway?) Come back and tell me "oh were out...do you want it without the banana?" ....Yeah, im leaving.

Excellent local vintage spot for burgers. Their jalapeno burger is outstanding. Definitely coming back. But if theyre busy prepare for a slight wait. Not fast food, which is fine. Just dont plan on drive through.

The onion rings are delicious. The ice cream is on point. The playdough ice cream was much better than its namesake--completely delicious. I liked the colors, and everyone was nice. 10/10 would go here again.

Great ice cream and shakes. Tasty food too, though a little slow. They go for a sort of retro diner atmosphere, but as with most places in Newberg, it mostly just feels a little neglected.
