The newest addition to this growing local family of coffee shops and we couldnt be happier to welcome them to our little downtown neighborhood. We have been Insomnia devotees since we first discovered then at their Baseline location in 2014. These folks employee good people who make great coffee and delicious pastries. This location is biggest by far and full of warm wood and a mix of modern and vintage charm. Treat yourself to a slice of housemade quiche and an Aztec Mocha (say yes to the whipped cream), and pick up a chocolate espresso cookie for the road. If youre more of a drip coffee individual, fill your cup with some of the Dapper&Wise Tortoiseshell blend and prepare for caffeine euphoria. They wont disappoint - one visit and youll be hooked.

I recently moved to the burbs and thought I had entered coffee purgatory. Defeated, I resigned myself to my new reality. That is until I found Insomnia Coffee on Baseline. No longer sentenced to drinking Starbucks to get my fix, Ive been stopping here multiple times a week on my way to work in Downtown Hillsboro. However, this did not solve my at-work problem. This is why I almost began weeping with joy when I discovered that Insomnia had opened this shop downtown, within easy walking distance of my work. Im also excited to have another "third place" to go when I need to get away from home or work. Thank you!!!

I stopped in to Insomnia during their soft launch for some coffee and the place was popping & alive! It was like being in downtown portland but right here in Hillsboro. The decor and atmosphere were wonderful and my Americano was as delicious or better than the other options available here in downtown hillsboro. Really looking forward to making this place a regular spot!

The coffee was decent. The space is huge and modern, but not at all cozy or particularly comfortable. They have sliding knee-to-ceiling windows that pull back, but no sidewalk tables. Service was a bit slow. Two registers, but only one open, even when there was a line. Pastries were limited; no croissants visible on my 3 visits. Convenient location downtown Hillsboro.

New guy behind register mixed my order up with the ladies ahead of me, though I repeated it twice for him and he repeated it back to me. 4 hots and two cold drinks later ( one girl on cold, one guy on hot) its a gab session at the pick up. Not that the blonde in pink with pearls wasnt pretty. Pay attention. You do have other customers.

Enjoy the atmosphere a lot. Drip coffee is under roasted for my taste. Did not like the way the didnt move the baked goods out of the display cabinet when they were spraying glass cleaner on the other shelves. Turned me off to buying any food from them.

I love insomnia coffee shops. I really do. But this location has such a rediculous problem with flies it keeps driving me out. Cant focus on my work with all the swarming around me. I wonder about the sanitation.

They have excellent coffee, for one. The savory and sweet baked goods are consistently tasty and attractive. The shop is a comfortable place to drop in and talk with friends. Service is super nice, too!
