I dont mean to come off as a snobbish, big-city girl, but this is no 5 star joint. I feel sorry for the people who consider this the best Mexican theyve ever tasted.... The good news is that even mediocre Mexican can be pretty good, and that this town now has another non-chain restaurant. Prices are very reasonable, service is friendly and hilarious (our waiter kept calling us "amigos" and "senoritas") and the taste is acceptably within the range of the average American-Mexican restaurant. A fair warning: their bathrooms are horrendous; just hold it til you get home. Nothing special, unless you live in Steubenville, OH.

You know, sometimes you go out to eat with the family, and you find yourself immersed in a half-realistic American-Mexican experience. And you what else? Thats not a bad thing. Theres love here, and thats what matters. But to add on, the food is good, service is good, and its an enjoyable experience. Ill never forget the 45 minutes I spent in this restaurant, and to me it felt like 45 minutes of time well-spent. This is what youd expect from a typical Mexican restaurant located in any working class Mid-Western town. And that really isnt a bad thing. <3 Kyle Rush

My family and I dine here quite often. I have never had a bad meal or bad service. If I recall, the family is from Mexico City so I assume its authentic - maybe they have changed things a little to suit us Americans I dont know. My wife grew up in California and always ate Mexican cuisine and she loves this place too. Prices are very reasonable, staff is quite friendly, although some do speak only broken English, which I think kinda adds to the realistic Mexican experience. Glad my wife has a clue what theyre saying. Going there tonight for my B-day.

The chips were tasteless. The "salsa" was from a can with a salty, watery consistency and tomato"ey" flavor. The basics of basics - a taco - the hard shell was stale and chewy. What was inside didnt even count. The basic cheese enchilada landed on the table with just some kind of canned enchilada sauce. No lettuce or tomato. When I did ask for lettuce and tomato, the standard iceberg lettuce and diced tomatoes was served. The waiter was more interested in his phone than being of good service. This was an awful experience and will NEVER go back.

The food is surprisingly good, especially the chile rellenos. We were so glad to find a non-chain Mexican restaurant in this area. The decor is basic, the service less than wonderful and the staff is not familiar with more common authentic dishes. When asked if they were going to offer posole over the holidays, our server had no clue about the traditional dish. In general, the food is worth the wait and it is good to have another local option for dining out in the Ohio Valley.

This place is the great for Mexican food. It is always fresh, hot and fast. Very reasonable prices and nice portions. As mentioned in the review from alotof...it is not a chain restaurant which is their charm. There is nothing snobish about this establishment. The employees are so friendly, warm and attentive. They make sure that your food is up to your liking and your glass is always full. Very laid back and decorated with the vibrant colors and flavor of Mexico.

I have been here once before and am on my way back to try it again. It is reasonably priced, food is not bad but I have definitely had better Mexican in the Ohio Valley area and in the Tuscarawas area. Its not horrible but they could work on their chips, they were stale last time we were there and some other items. We are heading that way but may make a last minute change? I wasnt horribly disappointed but I wasnt impressed much either.

They have really good Mexican food here. I go here all the time with my mom. The staff isnt always the friendliest though I think the is defiantly something they could improve on. When you go always request Rafael to be your waiter he is friendly and will go above and beyond what any of the other waiters do. Youll have a great dining experience with Rafael waiting on you. :)

Dont judge a book by its cover. It might not look like a nice place, but the food is excellent and affordable and the staff is great. My mate and I do a "date" night on a regular basis. We spend less and get better food if we travel the 40 minutes to eat here.

Steak was not skirt for the carna asada, guacamole was very thinned down as was the sour cream, no red peppers instead they used tomato. Rice had no flavor, meat tasted like store bought seasoning from a packet.

I have been all over the country. My home is in Texas. This is by far the worst excuse for Mexican food you will ever eat. There arent enough words in the English language to describe how truly bad this place is.

I typically do not like Mexican food however, this place has changed my mind. I visit hear at least every other month and have always left happy. Friendly staff, quick service, no complaints.

Puerto Vallarta serves authentic Mexican food, and everything Ive had has been excellent. Margaritas and beer prices are awesome. Their salsa and chips are free, which is a nice bonus.

Food is not terrible. I can assure you I have had better. With that being said, the service is decent. We didnt have to wait long on anything. Could be cleaner!!

Be aware that theres no lunch buffet on weekends, & extras (extra sour cream or guac) can add a lot to your bill. But the food is good and fast!

Great food, fast service and wonderful atmosphere and specials. Prices are very fair and the queso is to die for. Very good salsa and chips.
