Just not the local grocery store you hope for. First off they can put as many bios and educational accomplishments of their culinary staff on their website as they want but the bottom line is that does not translate into a finished product. These are not the people doing the daily work. Over several months the only thing the bakery knows how to do is burn things. Dark brown buns and breads, dry mealy brownie bites with no flavor. Its sad how this store has fallen so far from their beginning roots. Ive been trying to regularly shop there for months. Once a week, same day same time, I place an order for organic vegis, groceries, deli and baked goods to help plan and prepare meals all week and I use their curb side service but every week something goes wrong. Usually with the bread order or they forgot to put things in the bag for pick up or something out of stock and not updated to their site.... its frustrating because I do this to save time and plan the week and it never works out well. They do not call to advise of the problems or if they do they have some unprofessional excuse as to the error. The items are over priced and no longer distinguish themselves from the local giant grocery chain competition. I do not know if its the curb side delivery, but they always choose produce that is rotting and wilting or breads that are squashed. I would not recommend shopping here unless you have some time and a lot of money to kill and Id never rely on them for your weekly needs.

Im a firm believer in the old adage, "you get what you pay for." I would rather pay more for local fruits & veggies (esp.organic varieties). If we pay somewhat higher prices that will support small, local businesses vs. cheaper items from corporate, "big-box" stores; isn't that worth it? I'm not independently wealthy by a long shot, but believe that purchasing fresh/local food is a better bargain than highly processed alternatives that are polluted with preservatives and hormones. Employees at DLM have always been extremely courteous and accommodating to my needs. They always make me feel like my needs are important. I still look for sales on general household staples like paper goods, beverages and the like. However, I will continue to buy local foods as much as possible. I've discovered many new savory and sweet items this way; my current guilty pleasure is Winan's, White Chocolate Covered "Wetzels" from Piqua, Ohio. Indulgence to the n'th degree!! Sincerely, Kelly Spurlock DLM FAN! ツ

Have shopped DLM for over 30 years, LOVE IT, Friendly and knowledgeable employees that know you and treat you with respect. The atmosphere is fantastic and departments are clean clean clean, As for the pricing a real deal for the quality and self assurance of a clean employee preparing your order. Yes you can buy high end if you desire, another great thing about the DLM. Next time you are in DLM look at their meat slicers super clean and cleaned after each use, then go to a Kroger and look at theirs (nasty with old meat and cheese caked on them). I have also shopped at Whole Foods a time or two and must admit its back to DLM there is no comparison, outside Whole Foods is higher priced. Norman and Calvin continue to bring items to their stores that you will not find elsewhere and both always have the time to answer any questions you may have. If you do have a complaint it will be handled quickly with a smile and a thank you. Did I mention a bakery that is second to none?

We dislike the snotty uppity-ness of the employees from the Oakwood and Centerville locations. We stopped into this branch thinking that it might be different...Were we ever wrong!!! What is it with this local grocery store chain that makes them and their employees think that they are better than everyone else? God forbid youre not all dressed up like youre going to a black tie event, but just out running errands and not all dressed up in designer clothes. My husband and I dont need to prove to society or the employees in this store that we can afford to shop here! Whole Foods is coming to town, so its time to get in the real world and polish up on not only DLMs customer service, but send your employees back to basic training for it too...They are so disrespectful!

Dorothy Lane Market is a nice/modern grocery store. It has awesome meats, fish, fruit and dessert. The staff are always very friendly and are willing to help when needed. We have asked the meat/fish counter which cajun seasoning to put on shrimp and they took the shrimp behind the counter and put their own seasoning on it so we didnt have to buy a large container. My two biggest complaints is: higher prices on items (some are normal, most arent - know your prices going in) and the fruit doesnt last very long. Again, let me state this, this is some of the best fruit we have had if you eat it the day of buying it.

Stopped by a few weeks ago because I heard they sell Napoleons (a cream and pastry dessert). $4.99 apiece, so a little pricey. Went back again and they still sell them but now theyre half the size but still $4.99. Theyre maybe 3cm wide now, a tiny little sliver but still five bucks. Yes, I am that petty that Ill rate a whole store one star for ripping people off via the medium of desserts. Yes, I am that serious about my love of Napoleons. Also their chocolate cream pie is bad and they should feel bad.

This is a hi end grocery store. I actually give it 4 1/2 stars because it is expensive. That being said, they have a great selection foods, cans, bottles, bagged, & bulk. Prime beef, truly fresh seafood, a bakery, extensive wine/beer selection, & an unbelievable deli. I mean almost everything in the way of prepared items. Fresh sushi & pizza, lots of organic veggies, including a long salad bar. Top. It off with a restaurant & wine bar & you have one stop shopping. Well worth a trip.

The Springboro store is by FAR the best in my opinion, (and the newest). Have NEVER had a problem, even when dressed "down". Ha Ha! ALWAYS friendly and helpful! I went in to buy a cream puff to let a co-worker sample, but they were out. Soooooo, Angel and Michelle worked together to make sure I had one in about fifteen minutes!!! What customer service...

Great food but pricey. Focus on fresh natural, organic locally sourced food. Soups, stews great as is the deli, grill. Snowville dairy products taste best, used at Boston Stoker at entrance. Bakery, patisserie amazing. Wine tastings availability with good selection, also craft beers. Produce always fresh. Large assortment of cheeses to choose from.

Best store I have ever been too! Their deli definitely has LOVE in everything they make ! The customer service is off the charts ! I drive 30 miles twice a month. Also, their fresh fish hands down is better than Whole Foods will ever be. I love this store so much I would love to work here if closer to my home. I live in Cincinnati.

I know this place prides itself on great customer service, but the workers really need to not stand for being treated like absolute crap by some of the clientele. Every time Im in there, theres some yahoo pitching a fit over something extremely minor. Dont be afraid to tell these higher than mighty a-holes to shut it!
