My husband and his friend stopped in yesterday 11/11/15 to enjoy Fatheads excellent microbrews. This was not their first visit and have always enjoyed this brewery as a meeting place. After enjoying a few beers and 1 order of chicken wings it was made know to them that it was going to be shift change and would they cash out or prefer to transfer the tab to the oncoming waitress. We are very sensitive to this and will very often cash out so the waitress can be tipped before she leaves rather than trying to receive her portion of the tip the next day from her relief. In this particular instance they were not paying with cash and did not wish to put 2 charges on the credit card for one visit. My husband expressed that he could tell the waitress was very annoyed at the time and would have preferred they settle up. When it was time to finally cash out they received the bill only to notice that their were charges that were not theirs. There was an extra beer( a kind which neither one of them drink) and 2 half slabs of ribs. The oncoming waitress (who obviously would have no idea what they ate prior to her arrival) said she would have to get the manager which was the appropriate action to take. They waited for a half an hr before he came to the table and stated that he had spoken to the prior waitress who confirmed that in fact they had ordered ribs. My husband explained that he did not order any food because he had eaten prior to arriving and his friend ordered chicken wings and was taking half of them home as evidenced by the to go container. The managers response was "I dont know you two but I certainly know my waitress and she would not lie". They absolutely did not order these items and ridiculously had to try defend themselves against charges on the bill that they did not accrue. We have NEVER had this experience anywhere! Not sure what the glitch in your system was but this was absolutely outrageous. I have serious concerns about how this was addressed and if I were that manage or an owner I would be even more concerned with my waitress. I am hopeful that she had a lot of tables and was simply a little confused. Unfortunately the managers less than professional words (implying they were obviously lying because the waitress wasnt) are what we will remember about Fatheads rather than the fantastic brewery that it really is. Very unfortunate.

Quantity doesnt always mean quality. Were still trying to figure out what all the fuss is about. Weve decided that people must really like to receive A LOT of food. But Id rather pay more for smaller portions if its better quality. The first time we visited Fatheads it was busy, which I guess is often. We were told it would be 20 minutes (no problem!) and were given a pager. We waited outside because it was nice out. About a half hour passed and it started to rain, so we decided to wait inside. When we got inside, the lobby was empty. They had seated everyone who came in after us and must have forgotten about us. They didnt apologize and said they had paged everyone (though our buzzer never went off). We left. When we tried to call a manager, they would not let us talk to one. Whatever, we let it go. Today we decided to give the joint another shot for our 2-year anniversary dinner because it was nearby and we were already very hungry. We order nachos. They were very salty, and we didnt like that they were potato chips. We would have liked tortilla chips. Also, the meat was way overcooked. We barely touched them. Our food came with MOUNDS of more overly salty potato chips, of which we did not eat. The pulled pork burrito had WAY too much bacon in it. I do NOT recommend. My girlfriend ordered the kielbasa and pierogi sandwich. She ended up taking all of the kielbasa off and just ate the two pierogis and bread. Overall, the food did not taste good, and we were upset we wasted our anniversary there and our money. We regretted giving them a second chance after what happened the first time. We should have listened to our gut. But hey, they must be doing something right if they are always so busy. We just wont ever be back.

Weve been here several times and I will describe the ups and downs of Fatheads. Lets start with the negatives... they are busy busy busy in the evenings and weekends. The parking lot is inadequate. They need more serving space and more parking. Some times the potato chips are a bit salty. The positive: The beer (Goggle Fogger, Hippy Sippy, Etc.) is excellent. If you like a certain style beer make sure to ask for something comparable. If you are open to it - get a sampler and you may find a new style beer you didnt know you liked. The guest beer list is equal to or exceeding the quantity of house beers (they usually have 8 or more house beers on tap and a good 25 guest beers). The quality of guest beer is top notch (I usually stick to the house brands though). Service is excellent... at least those that have served us have been. Id recommend Ron, Charlie, Kym, Sevi, Sherri... and I cant forget Neil. I dont know the others by name so I cant recommend them without seeing their faces. On to the food... you usually get a LOT. The house wings are huge. If you get a burger Id recommend upgrading to the garlic parm fries. If you get a sandwich or other items, they come with home made chips... Id recommend a cup of ranch sauce to dip them in. I have yet to have anything to eat that I didnt like... Im going to tell you now... more than likely you will have lunch for the next day if you get a headwich or more than the minimum amount of the big wings. Plan on taking your dessert home too. Kudos to Fat Heads... certainly an ideal microbrewery in North Olmsted.

I have been a long time Fatheads patron at the Pittsburgh location - on the "Wall of Foam" and all. I have to say, somehow the Cleveland location has tainted my impression, simply because it was one of the best restaurant experiences Ive ever had. Oh, and all but me were entirely sober for the event to collaborate the great experience =). When we arrived, I was wearing a Fatheads Pittsburgh shirt. One of the managers asked me on the way in about my shirt. I proceeded to tell him that we drove the 2 hours to Cleveland specifically to hit the Fatheads that had recently opened; we were celebrating my 40th birthday. They proceeded to treat me as a king. The waitress was very kind and patient with my two young children. The manager showed up a bit later with a free beer (Pilsner - was excellent!) to "celebrate" my birthday. They then surprised us with a piece of cake the entire family enjoyed. It was a top-notch experience. Now, before you think, "Oh, it was just because of your birthday", let me assure you every other interaction we had with the staff left me in awe. The bussers were courteous, our waitress was extremely pleasant, even with one of our kids being a bit rambunctious about her chicken fingers. And on my way out, everyone at the greeting station gave a big smile and a thanks for coming. I can only say, if I return to Cleveland, it will not be sans-Fatheads. It was an absolutely wonderful experience, and being such a "big" birthday, exceedingly so. I left an "epic" tip for an "epic" experience. THANKS, FATHEADS CLEVELAND!
