Here is a place with the true soul of a NY Pizza parlor. When I walked in the first thing that caught my eye was the dessert case filled with Italian ricotta cheesecake, cannoli, and just wonderful looking stuff that made me stare and drool like a little kid again. Although the decor was plain, it was planned out well, plenty of room between tables, good sturdy chairs, and clean sharp looking showcases in front with a long bar if you are dining alone. No paper plates here, you get a small pizza pan and a set of real utensils, I found this to be a unique touch as I have not seen that done before. The service here is excellent, beyond excellent, there are plenty of waiters floating around and it seemed that every one of them stopped by our table to ask if we needed anything, or wanted another beer, and I immediately got the impression that they were all servicing every table. Just ask any of them for anything and Bam! Immediate gratification. What a team of friendly young men eager to serve. I have never seen service this good at any restaurant of any caliber, anywhere, what a pleasure. The manager stopped by not once, but twice during the meal to check on us, he really listened and was very friendly. Did I mention how excellent the service was? The food came out quickly and correct. No fooling around, this is serious pizza. Prices are in-line with other restaurants and what I would call reasonable. Nothing seemed excessively expensive for what we received. The menu is a laminated, simple, one sheet, easy to read and understand page. The beverage glasses were large and not those cheapo plastic type. My beer came to the table ice cold with a large frosted glass mug, very nice. The bathrooms were plain and clean with plenty of room to maneuver, no cramped tiny stalls here. Fully stocked with paper products, and a nice big sink. The food is not exactly what you would find in a true New York Pizza place, but dang close. They even slice the pizza right in pie slices not those silly squares or strips. I have to concede that the reason for the difference is because they cater to the local Columbus crowd. They make their pizza the way the locals like it, not the way that I grew up as a native New Yorker. Fair enough, however the manager Ed assured me that if I ordered my pizza exactly the way I wanted it, extra thin and well done with a crispy crust with sliced sausage links, that they could easily make a true NY pizza pie for me, I am going to take him up on this next time we dine here. The garlic bread with cheese was a tasty ciabatta bread with sweet sauce to dip in. The pizza toppings are all top quality and very tasty. And the serving sizes are large, very large. The sight of that huge 20 inch pizza pie alone made me smile, now thats a pizza! I am a big eater and I appreciate oversize portions, but if thats too much they can make you a smaller one as well. This is one of the only places that you can get Italian cheesecake, it is not an actual ricotta pie cheesecake, but very good anyway, and I liked it very much. Overall this is the best New York Style Pizza parlor in the city of Columbus that I have been to. I recommend Borgotas as a place you should try. Next time I am ordering the meatballs and the chicken Parmesan. I am a tough customer and if they made me happy, they will make you happy too. Choi for now. OK, the meatballs are pretty good, I didnt care for the sweet bun bread, go with the Italian baguette instead.

Had Borgatas for first time last year Dined in. Great experience as I am from Buffalo NY and am picky about my pies. Been ordering through door dash since we are not in delivery zone. Last time felt pizza didnt have enough cheese So I ordered 16" extra cheese pepperoni mushroom and onion. After over an hour which door dash did project eta received just a normal pepperoni and cheese. Called Borgata. They said I had to contact door dash. Nothing they could do. Kind of irritating since they clearly are at fault. Box was labeled with our name. Loved that I paid for the extra stuff that I didnt get. Contacted door dash. Wasnt going to wait for another pizza to get delivered. Apparently door dash will get back to us in two days. Wow. Thats really cool. Will not be ordering again.

We come here all the time for pizza ( or get delivery from Doordash if were too tired to drive over), but tonight we decided to try the pasta. We started with the Caprese Salad (delish, tiny bit of salt, juicy tomatoes, dry mozzarella, I hate slimy cheese)- perfect! Then we got gnocchi with tomato cream sauce and cavateppi with marinara and a meatball. Pasta and sauce are homemade and SCRUMPTIOUS! Im not crazy about sweet sauce, I want to taste the tomato. I love this sauce, but then I love their pizza sauce so....... And then he asked about dessert. Ok, do not miss the lemon ricotta cake.

Good pizza. Giant calzones. Great service. Very clean. Awesome proprietor. Relatively expensive. I do not understand why they are consistently rated as one of the best. Maybe because its "New York style" and that isnt my favorite. Regardless, I know a lot of people who swear by Borgata. Its just not at the top of my list. I will note: ignore the racist and classist comments about the location and neighborhood. None of those people were accosted, much less victimized, so those comments are completely unwarranted. They just saw brown people, or heard that this is where brown people live.

BEST NYC PIZZA IN CBUS! If youre looking for NY style pizza (and I have been for YEARS), this is the place! Cant tell you how obsessed Ive become with eating here since finding it six days ago! Would have eaten there for the fourth time in five days if they had been open on Sundays! The cannolli is DELICIOUS, as is the ricotta cake. People will tell you its "not in the best neighborhood," but honestly, its not like its in the ghetto. Its perfectly nice and perfectly safe. Check it out. You wont be sorry.

Absolutely best pizza in Columbus and Im Italian, so I know amazing pizza. The pizza dough is made right in front of you at the bar along with everything else. Its a family owned business that is all about pleasing their customers and making the best food possible. The pasta is fantastic and homemade. The service can be a little slow when busy but quality takes time! I recommend this restaurant to everyone and Im so excited to hear theyre opening a new location in Worthington very soon.
