The restaurant is decorated art deco styled with an old telephone booth near the entrance, artwork reminiscing of the Roaring 20s, and a functioning jukebox. I had the meatloaf which was good but the gravy was great which made the meatloaf and mashed potatoes that much better. My boyfriend had the burger which was supposed to be medium rare but came out more well done. He also inquired about the fruit salad and was told that he would get pineapple, oranges, and honey dew on the side but ended up with pineapple, watermelon, and cantaloupe. He doesnt like melon so getting a fruit salad that was 2/3 melon this was a let down. The free onion straws from checking in on Facebook was nice though.

In my opinion, the best hamburger in Cincinnati. I have been eating here for over 30 years, keep coming back. There food quality has held steady for all these years. The burger is quality meat with a charcoal grill flavor. Their onion straws are the best I have had anywhere (every once in a while they have been greasy, but usually they are not).

Medium burgers undercooked, bacon was not given to us even though it was on the order. Side condiments were not given to us. This is the 4th messed up order out of four. We are not ordering again even though we have a full credit. It will likely be wrong anyway. This place used to be so great which is why we gave it so many chances.

Love thier Hot Brown, with side of onion straws. Not much has changed in the 10+ years Ive been eating that dish. Only get here once a year or so, but great little place. Quiet small place, people are friendly, prices arent bad. I just go here for that dish and havent been disappointed, but no one ever seems impressed.

Love going to BaCalls Cafe. Everyone is very friendly, and the food is delicious, especially since adding the pot roast dinner to the menu! Staff is very helpful with the menu. They are always hustling making sure their customers orders are served to their satisfaction.

Great neiborhood restaurant! Very nice people customers and workers.....gyro wasnt the best chicken like others ive tasted but burger to die for. Big variety of choices im sure to go again considering theyre right in my back door. 4thumbs up mine and my husbands.

Waiters are fast and friendly, as well as attentive. Food tastes good. They put time and effort in what matters. I love going there, and when you see how packed the place gets during dinner time on the weekend, you will realize I am not the only one.

My burger is medium rare perfectly every time I order it (rare to find in this town). There Yorkshire pudding is fantastic, perfectly balanced. they put time and effort where it matters. Place is packed at dinner time. Do not pass up on this eatery.

Most of the ingredients were not fresh. Frozen crinkle cut french fries, buns obviously bought at the nearby Kroger -not acceptable. Oh, and I forgot to mention the chicken fingers that resemble those made by Tyson.

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. It is very very homey and welcoming, but the food is even better. Every customer is treated if they were family and many come back week after week.

Best ranch fries you will ever eat! Its a great non-chain restaurant and you can grab a coffee and pie after dinner at College Hill Coffee 2 doors down. Perfect restaurant for date-night too!

Ambience was that of a friendly neighborhood hang out spot. Food was over cooked and dry. Food was cold when we received it. Nobody in our party of 4 finished their meal.
