Ive been going to this restaurant for the past few years after first hearing from some of my acquantances about how good it was. I was skeptical at first; the restaurant doesnt look all that promising from the curb, and Ive never seen it advertised. Im now a regular at La Pinata and recommend it to all of you that like good Mexican food at reasonable prices You will find a variety of items on the menu here for the adventurous, plus all of the regular menu items that you would expect to find, and you can sit down to your meal in a great family environment. Give it a try and I think youll agree ! - Ken

Far and wide, this is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the Midwest if not the USA (based on my travels and sampling of every authentic mexican restaurant I can find). There is one place in Indianapolis that tops it (El Sol De Tala), but that is all Ive found. Heck, I couldnt find much better in Mexico City when I was there. Anyways, if you dont believe me go there and order their chile relleno and compare that with any other places chile relleno. This is my litmus test dish. I dare you to find anyone who can make it better. Plus you can go to lunch for under $6 if you get the daily specials.

Excellent margaritas the best! The service is very fast efficient and super super clean !the most delicious very hot fresh chicken fajitas with the best flavor of lime and delicious green peppers and the aroma of the chips are to die for and the most exquisite one of kind salsas with perfect flavors of fresh cilantro and spices no Mexican restaurant can top this restaurant it is my favorite! I give it a 5 star. Did I mention the most kind and generous employees with impeccable manners too!

It was just okay. Salsa was bland. Had a coupon for free cheese dip had to ask twice to receive it and then was charged anyway they did remove it from our bill after we pointed it out. Cheese dip was runny and bland. The entrees were average mexican restaurant entrees. Also had the waiter take my plate while I was still holding my last taco and was only halfway through eating it. Very unprofessional. Would eat at Taco Bell across the street before I would return there.

This is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants in South Dayton! The tamales are excellent. The service is quick and our orders are always correct. Do not order tostadas or tacos unless you can inhale them in the first two minutes after they are brought out to you. Otherwise the shells will be soggy and wet.

I would not go there again even if someone paid me to eat there. Probably the worst Mexican food Ive ever had. Actually probably one of the worst restaurants Ive ever been to. Food was just slightly better then Taco Bell. There are plenty of better Mexican restaurants around. Service was OK.

I agree with another reviewer...dont overlook this little gem in the Centerville Place strip mall. The chips are always fresh and warm, the margaritas are always nice and cold, and the food is always delicious...and cheap! Combined with the great service, you get the complete package.

Excellent Midwestern Mexican food. The food is good quality the staff awesome. The prices are good. The flavors are what you would expect from a Midwestern Mexican restaurant not too spicy (they can and will kick it up if you ask plus multiple hot sauces on the table).

Definitely very good and very authentic food. We have been there a few times and have not been disappointed. WE often get different things and each time the quality has been good. Not a fancy place, but clean. Im sure well be back in the future.
