It truly pains me to write this review. My first experience at this restaurant a few years ago was a fantastic five course tasting. I was excited to have such a top notch establishment here in Akron However, this past year, Ive come back to introduce a couple new folks, and have been very disappointed The first was a five course tasting that took an incredibly long time, to the point that we were bored and fidgety between courses. I was honestly embarrassed. The portions were so large we couldnt eat it all, which defeats the purpose of a tasting. I do concede that the food was still enjoyable, but not enough for me to wait that long again. Last week, I brought a friend to eat at the bar. His first experience here was seeing puddles of water on the bar, and being handed a menu with an incredibly sticky cover. We ordered a couple medium rare burgers, which came out medium well, again, after a very long wait. Based on my first experience eating here, and the amount of money one spends, I expect better. It saddens me to have to strike this one off my list.

Made reservation for a romantic night out with my wife. The food was phenominal, the drinks superb, and they even gave us a secluded table and 2 glasses of champagne on the house. Our server was attentive and very well read on their products. The only thing that put me off ( would be 5 star if not for this ) when going to a restaurant with superb quality and exspensive food ( worth every penny it was ) i would expect the staff to be more professionaly dressed. The gentleman who took us to our table was dressed in a striped tshirt and jeans. The wait staff dressed in black tshirts and jeans. Their dress code matches that of a family chain resaurant, it does not do justice nor is it a good face to the phenominal other aspects of this restaurant. I would love to see them change this, but it will not deter future visits

This restaurant blew me away. The food, the service and the ambience were all top notch. We choose this restaurant because it was close to the venue where we were attending a concert. What great choice. We were arrive and were seated immediately. Our waitress took our drink order promptly and then explained all the specials for the evening. We also had questions about the say the sauce toppings and the sizes of the side dishes. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and was able to answer our questions without any problems. Once our food arrived it was just unbelievable. The salad was fresh with a delicious homemade vinaigrette, the bread was warm and delicious and the steak medallions just melted in your mouth. The whipped potatoes and Brussels Sprouts were also top notch.

My first visit was just a few weeks ago, Halloween night. Me and my handsome man, started off with the Sashimi Grade Tuna Tartarte, different but I enjoyed eating it. I settled for fish for my main course, that I cannot seem to remember what it was but it delicious. My handsome man settled for prime rib for his main course, of course. Along with apple and dirty martinis. Mr. Bocuzzi was in L.A. if I recall the bartender saying. Would have been nice to meet him. Next time my friend. We sat at the bar and engaged in great conversation with another couple. Service was prompt.Overall, dbo has a great atmosphere and Northhill was very visible that night. I enjoyed myself with my man.

I have had many good meals here in the past. Specifically I have enjoyed the salmon on at least 3 occasions. Tonight however I was served something more akin to sushi. Based on my previous experiences this would have been easy to overlook if the server had given the least consideration to the problem. I dont know If the manager was informed or not, but I know no apologies were offered by management or staff. As Dante seems to think itself to hip for customer service, it wont be seeing the McDaniel name on the reservation list any time soon.

DBA is my absolute favorite place to eat. I love the atmosphere, the wine, and the food is to die for. I have pretty much tried every thing on the menu. My boyfriend and I love it here for date nights. Our favorite wine is E and we usually get the chicken or a salad and an appetizer of mussels. Best mussels ever! Cody is our favorite server. He always giving us more insight to the menu and he makes us feel super welcome and happy. LOVE DBA.

Took our family of 7 to the Diamond Grill recently for our oldest sons (and my) birthdays. Knew that the bill would not be inexpensive, but almost all were disappointed with the food quality. Both the fish and steaks ordered were just not up to par from previous meals I had experienced before at The Diamond. Usually spot on good meals. Maybe just an off day. The place is a classic, basic surroundings, but know that prices are high.

We had the 5 course chefs tasting menu with wine pairings. All of the courses were great, and the wine pairings really elevated them to a new level. Favorites were the spinach pasta, the beef tenderloin and the coffee sorbet and chocolate mousse dessert. The Rutherford Cabernet with the beef and the Port with dessert were fantastic. Finished with a great cup of cappuccino. One of the best meals we have ever had.

Had a special engagement dinner at DBA. They happily agreed to place delivered flowers on my table for the reservation. The duck was great and the green spaghetti too. The chefs special lobster ravioli was unfortunately a little dry, but still pretty good. GREAT, attentive service from Tom our waiter. It was a wonderful dinner for my fiance and I.

I had the long bone (rib eye) and the scallops(split them with my daughter) they were both delicious. The perch appetizer was also very tasty. Our waitress was Jodie and she was wonderful. Always there when you needed her. We had a retirement party and the only complaint is that a party on the weekend (Friday) evening cannot exceed 12...

Cool atmosphere and really good food. We got a few of the starters and loved them all. The bread dipped in the mussel sauce was a hit as well as the brussel sprouts. I ordered the tater tots while the people I was with ordered meals. We all enjoyed the food. A friend said the snapper was delicious! Its worth a visit!

Always a wonderful time! The new chef has created a menu with truly spectacular dishes. The portions are enough to fill you and the flavors are on point. The staff is friendly, attentive, and the bartenders make delicious drinks. I highly recommend sitting at the bar!

Happened in on a Wednesday for a business meeting and enjoyed a delicious meal served by such a nice person , Courtney, what fun. The Pittsburghed steak was perfect, light creative spinach salad, and enjoyable wine. Will be back. Akron rocks!

Loved this place, cool outdoor patio / open bar area, interior is awesome, but the food-incredible! Had the salmon, never had better. Based on other reviews and the other diners last night, this place is a revisit for sure.
