My friend Claire and I have been enjoying the superlative fare and service at Mean Mr. Mustards Cafe for about a year now and every time we visit, we are treated to the freshest, most well thought out, and scrumptiously executed menu offerings in Hendersonville. The laid back Beatles motif with music playing in the background and signed memorabilia on the walls creates the coolest atmosphere around, which, combined with excellent service by the friendly staff, sets the tone for an uplifting, pleasurable experience each time we visit. We dine there 3 or 4 times a month and I usually order the Eggs Abraham (a deliciously unique version of Eggs Benedict with a twist) which is to die for! The first time I tried it, I actually wondered how it was that the owner was still out of jail because the food was so good it had to be illegal! If you havent treated yourself lately, be sure to check them out soon. But be careful—you might find yourself irresistibly addicted! John

Have eaten here maybe 4 times, is mostly good, but not consistent, at least in their cooking of eggs! Lunch was very average, breakfast a bit better. I do like eggs benedict and theirs is pretty good, but again, you cant count on it. I always requested the eggs cooked "over medium," meaning with the whites completely cooked, but with runny yolks. Have received them completely overdone, whites very firm with NO running yolk, just solid and to the other extreme... runny clearish egg whites and luke warm runny yolks. When they are cooked right, they are good, but you cant predict it (unless you learn which cook does what, I suppose).

Arrived on a Sunday around 10am. I ordered the waffle of the day (pecan) and my friend the biscuits and gravy. My waffle tasted like it was cooked a day ago and even had a refrigerated flavor. The pecans were just spread on top and werent baked into it. The bacon was awesome though. They also had a sign up that they were closing at 1 (hours on door say 2) which I have seen other reviewers mention so it must happen fairly often. Ill try other places around HVille rather than return here next time Im visiting.

Not anything like I expected it to be. Very limited choices on the menu, coffee seemed to be reheated in the microwave. The wait staff were not too friendly, our waitress seemed really annoyed because I complained about the coffee . They seemed in a big rush to get people out of the door at 1pm although they dont close till 1.30pm. We wont go back for sure. I think the place is overrated. Parking was a bit scary, up steep hill with few parking spots.

This is my favorite restaurant in Hendersonville! Every time I eat here I am blown away. Monty and Diane only use the freshest ingredients and everything is made from scratch. You can really tell they put love into their unique menu creations. The crab cake salad and soup of the day is always a wonderful choice. I love their biscuits and country gravy as well. I can honestly say Ive never had something here I didnt like.

"He Jude"! "Here comes the sun", lets "come together" and sit on a cornflake for breakfast at "Mean Mr. Mustard". "I want to hold your hand" and take you up "the long and winding road" from Spartanburg to Hendo. Great staff and amazing food. I cant wait to "Get back" to this cozy establishment. "With a little help from my friends", "We can work it out". I give this Beatles themed restaurant "All my loving"!

The grits and cheesy potato casserole are both fantastic. Good omelets, and there is usually an interesting omelet or waffle special each day. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays, which I have a very hard time remembering. Good coffee. They serve bottled water if you just order water, fyi.

This place is amazing! Best donuts with tons of options. The prices are unbeatable and everything is made in house, the bread, donuts, chicken, all sauces made from scratch. This place is cozy and they have the best painted picnic tables which are wonderful to eat outside on.

Arrived before1pm. Hurried through an overpriced and not very good lunch by staff and was then asked to leave as the staff were in a hurry to go. Take your money elsewhere. There are a a lot of great restaurants in Hendersonville and this is not one of them.

Best breakfast in Hendersonville-- and inexpensive! Mean Mr.Mustard Express is a RARITY among restaurants. You receive a very high level of food for a very paltry sum. Try Georges breakfast with grits, and livermush, its terrific.

Food and service were not good. The food was cold. We were sick from eating it. Over priced. We will never return. We will not recommend. We will be telling people about our experience. Rate less than 1 star.

Enjoyed a wonderful breakfast! We only visit Hendersonville about twice a year and always make it a point to stop by for breakfast several times during our stay. Love the muffins!

I frequent MMMs, and think the Yellow Submarine is the best value for breakfast of any restauant in town. The food and staff are great here, and their baked goods are delicious.

My first visit was Feb. 2012, but I missed out on our last trip in Sept. 2013. So sad, because the food is SO GOOD. Looking forward to our next trip to the mountains...

Food was hot and fresh and tasty! Smaller portion. size than expected however the large taste made up for it! Grits were very tasty as the waitress suggested!
