Looking for a great place to relax and enjoy a leisurely breakfast, sipping cup after endless cup of fresh brewed coffee while perusing the morning paper? Or perhaps youd prefer a destination for your Saturday morning bicycle ride, or a place to gather with friends and family for a Sunday brunch? First Watch on Market Street in Lakewood Ranch is the place youve been looking for. The staff are always friendly, the restaurant always tidy, and most importantly, the food is always excellent. Always may seem an exaggeration, but speaking from personal experience, it appears to be true. Ive visited this particular Fist Watch on several occasions, and have never come away unsatisfied.DCIM100GOPRO The decor is modern and earthy, with the touches (such as the flower-tipped pens at the cash register) that make First Watch unique. The seating is adequate, but this place fills up fast, so if you show up at peak hours, be prepared to wait, though usually no longer than fifteen minutes. By the way, the coffee and paper are free while you wait, and the seating in the waiting area is cozy, so you may not mind a bit of a pause before you are seated. DCIM100GOPRO Since the restaurant is not open for dinner, the menu is centered on breakfast and brunch, with breakfast taking center stage. The keyword at First Watch is fresh, and the menu reflects that. Lighter fare with a healthy angle is done so well here that the yummy factor doesnt suffer. Oh, and by the way, they know how to make pancakes, too. I mean they really know how to make pancakes- light and fluffy, with a little crispy fringe around the edges....but I digress. The healthier side menu features energy bowls, topped with either house made granola or Muesli, a Tri-Athlete egg white omelette, the Siesta Key cocktail, and other less filling choices that will power you up for an active day healthier-side-energy-bowlout exploring Lakewood Ranchs parks and trails. More filling fare is also offered, with unique creations such as the Chickichanga, the Key West Crepe-Egg and several varieties of Frittata rounding out the menu. Traditional eggs, bacon or sausage and toast, with potatoes is also available. And dont forget those pancakes... Although they serve (what I am sure are delicious) sandwiches and soups as well,I must admit to being breakfast biased when it comes to First Watch, but its hard not to be. Located just down from the Publix on Market Street, Lakewood Ranchs First Watch is already an institution, and youre sure to see a neighbor or two nearly ever time you stop in. Theres a more than good chance youll see me there, too. If you do, stop by the table and say hi, I would love to tell you more about why Lakewood Ranch is my home, and how I could help make it your home, too.

First watch has certainly upped its game With an updated interior and menu that should please folks that have been frequent them for years as well as more health-conscious diners, it seems there would be something for everyone its taste . Unfortunately, when we asked them to hold the chicken off of a salad because we were vegetarians , The salads came to our table with bits of chicken still mixed in with the greens. When we brought the matter to the attention of the waitress, she seemed very indifferent to the issue but did take them back to be replaced. The restaurant was not busy but the replacement salads took over 15 minutes to come back to our table. Nobody ever said that they were sorry. At any rate, I would give the food three stars and the waitstaff two stars.

During two visits in the last week I experienced 1) pancake arrived with no syrup and I had to alert the front checkout after waiting to see my waitperson. By the time I got it the pancake was cold. the server offered a replacement and took my plate with fork and knife. New pancake arrived but with utensils. Again checkout desk was notified. Price of pancake was deducted. 2) Ordered eggs benedict with vegetables. Eggs were covered by spinach and salad covered the toast. The whole plate which was overflowing had to be reorganized. Also asked for milk with coffee and never got it. Son went to kitchen. Coffee pot was not on table and we had to ask twice for more. Food was good.

This is my favorite new place to eat. Food is always excellent and large servings. Staff is very friendly and always willing to accommodate to your liking. The Greek salad is my go to item. Made the correct way with potato salad, beets, Kalamata olives etc. Their menu has all the great Greek foods and their desserts are also very good. I recommend the Little Greek Grill to anyone looking for a place to ear or a new place to try. Try it today

Happened upon this place while in town for business. Had the chicken salad as a cold sandwich along with a side salad of mixed greens. The chicken salad was very good... nice balance of flavours! My friend had their Italian Wedding soup... said it amazing good. To top it off, we were immediately welcomed at the door (which I always think makes a great impression) and the service was both very polite and efficient. Megan was our server... great job!

The food is pretty good but they dont know how to cook certain items, like potatos. If you like your hashbrowns or breakfast potatos mushy then youre fine. However if you like them crispy you have to request for them to be burnt in order to receive them even half way cooked. Like most places to eat in LWR, its Sysco food.

The food is much better than Dennys or IHOP. Their service is a bit slow. Our waitress never checked on us before the food came out, and I was missing a coffee cup. They have an outdoor dining option, and its a bit more quiet than inside the restaurant. Not my first choice for breakfast.

First watch is always recommended for a great and satisfying breakfast. This place had great (fast and friendly) service and the food was delicious. On a Tuesday around 10am it was not overcrowded and it was a really relaxed breakfast atmosphere.

This is the 2nd location of 2 we visited and the staff here are so nice and helpful. They dont have the outside seating overlooking the lake, but their food and the atmosphere rocks just as much. A definite breakfast/lunch spot to try!

Great healthier options and a good place to go for a different spin on breakfast. If youre looking for traditional eggs and pancakes, you might want to try somewhere else. But for a nice change of pace, this place is great.

I got the Eggs Benedict today. In the past it was the best thing on the menu, not sure what has happened, but they were way below par for what they are capable of doing. I probably wont be back too soon!

It was okay, the food was pretty good. Very Long wait time on a Monday even though we waited for 20 minutes and wanted to eat outside while the whole time there were 3 empty, clean tables outside.

One of the best dining experiences Ive had in Florida. Very comfortable atmosphere, quiet, friendly staff, and so many great food options. We will be back often .
