When this established Burlington eatery expanded into Greensboro, it entered a market that already featured a few decent options for Indian food. But whereas some were inconsistent or limited in their offerings or muted their flavors, Taaza has so far managed to avoid all of those pitfalls. As a result, it has emerged as unquestionably the best Indian lunch buffet in Greensboro. Small but stylish, Taaza ditches a lot of the classic iconography in favor of a more modern look. The bar area is well-lit, and the sleek interior is inviting. The buffet offers a good balance of vegetarian (pakoras, daal, and curried vegetables) and non-vegetarian (tandoori chicken, chicken tikka masala, and curried mussels) dishes along with chutneys, sauces, salads, a goat soup, and two different kinds of rice. Kheer and mango custard are among the dessert options, and servers deliver complementary naan to each table. Though the buffet offerings rotate, it should still be easy enough to find something to your liking. The execution is, for the most part, spot-on. Whereas some Indian restaurants will tone down their buffet offerings for mass consumption, Taaza’s curries are aromatic, appropriately seasoned, and deliver the expected complex flavors. The tandoori chicken had a nice char note, as did the buttery naan. The sauces and chutneys allow you to cool down or heat up as suits your palate. At $10, Taaza’s buffet is competitively priced. The servers are also attentive: you won’t go long without water. While there are a few minor quibbles – the floor is overly slick in places, some of the buffet items can be better labeled – Taaza otherwise makes for an impressively tasty lunch destination.

Taaza is not a good place to eat. I saw the cooks drop food on the foor and put it on the customers plates and it be served to the customers. There are several guys that work there this very nasty dont wash their hands before they deal with the food. I have also saw several employees eat off of customers plates before they serve and give the food to the customers and the owner treat his workers and some of the guess very horrible. I do advise if you eat please Monitor and look at your food very closely. I have also saw the waitress take dirty glasses and wash them out with water and clean up and put people drinks in them water beer juice soda when the glass is not really clean. There are a lot of things that goes on there at this restaurant that Health Department dont know about. Like them sitting the on the floor. In containers no its still opening people sweeping and mopping the floor something can get over in the food also like to talk about some of the employee hygiene dont shave dont bath and come to work with dirty clothes working around the food. Which is not good for people to work around food with bad hygiene and serving the food to the customers without having their hygiene kept up

The food is absolutely delicious. It is definitely the best indian restaurant in town. However, the waitstaff is extremely poor, which is a shame. We have been here more than 10 times and most of the time these are the regular happenings: - We are not asked what kind of drinks we would like, we have flag down someone if we want a coke or something - Extremely slow, and this is before we place an order. - No checking, the waitstaff does not come up to check if we would like something else, or refills on our drinks or water. Always have to flag them down, which in and itself is a challenge. Same thing applied for the check, we often wait for 10-20 minutes before we are able to flag someone down for the check. - Low enthusiasm, they also seem completely disinterested in providing good service and an complicated order and hard to get across. I understand that this is rude but it is a real shame as we love the food and often wont go here because it just takes too long eat. Many a times, the waitstaff is just standing in the corner not paying any attention. They need to be trained properly, and this would greatly improve the service and the experience here.

Taaza Bistro at Greensboro is the new avatar of the restaurant in Burlington. This location has a classy new ambience. The weekend lunch buffet is currently priced at 12.99 per head. Kids over a certain age are charged at kids rate of 6.99 (weekend). I am guessing that because the restaurant is newly opened, there was a lot of rush on Sunday afternoon with a steady stream of customers all through the afternoon. There were some customers who had to wait a while before being seated. The buffet selection has something for everyone. Lots of choices for chutney and sauce. Many dessert options as well. There were plenty to choose from, for both vegetarian and non vegetarian. Naan and masala dosa is delivered at your table. All the dishes I tried were tasty. The spinach pakoras and vadas were crispy. The biryani was great and so were the desserts. The service was excellent. The manager was greeting everyone at the check in register and making sure that everything runs smoothly. The buffet was refilled quickly. Taaza is a strong contender for the best Indian restaurant in the Triad now. Go ahead and check it out.

There was so much hype about their opening in greensboro but it was way too much.... based on my experience its even bad than other desi restaurant near by. The reason for my 1 star reviews are their quantity at first hand and quality of food at second. Quantity is way too less . For ex they delivered 2 and half piece of chicken wings for the chicken lolly pop i ordered which cost 7$. Secons their quality... :( they delivered onion rava dosa prepared in rice floor with sooji mixed batter not the original dosa batter, how can they do this to desi.... and their usage of packed fried onion on top if biriyani is disgusting... hhm...:( there are few good things there... but negative are lot from my experience... i havent tried their lunch buffet yet ... not sure that will meet my expectations atleast. I never suggest this to any friend for ala carte menu order Response to the owner: I am glad that you were here to explain, Your chefs know better than me about what they have delivered. i am not definitely here to defame ,obviously only if you treat your customers well in all aspects. Thankyou.

I dont write many reviews but I was moved to let everyone know about my great experience at the Taaza Indian Bistro. I have frequented many Indian Restaurants and have yet to experience the level of service and friendliness and attentiveness of staff that we had last Friday evening. The waiter was spot on with his recommendation for my children. I had the Lamb Curry which was exceptional. My wife had the Dhal Makhini which was exquisitely flavored. Our water glasses were never empty. The waiter even picked up on the fact I really liked spicy curry (I had ordered my mild so I could share with my daughter) and provided me a special made hot curry sauce to take home with me in my doggy bag. Unfortunately I dont live close enough to Taaza bistro to return frequently. So I highly recommend a visit even if you are passing through!

Been here a few time, and Ive mostly had decent experiences here but todays trip was a total disappointment, the service was bad! we went here between 5 and 6 pm we were promptly seated, and it went downhill from there we waited a few minutes for menus after a while trying to flag a server. Then after getting menus we ordered appetizers and the entrees we ordered garlic cilantro chicken and the tandoori khazana and naan. Ill give them 2 stars cause the Gallic cilantro chicken was decent even though it says it was bone in and we got boneless. The seekh kaboobs were burnt badly and so were half the naan. I would have told someone but. It was hell getting swine one as they were walking by and they didnt even ask us about drinks. I had guests from out of town I was sort of embarrassed after telling them this was a solid restaurant.
