Horrible establishment. Do not waste your time. I have never written a bad review, although I want to warn everyone else. The restaurant has a nice design and was clean. That was the only positive thing about my experience. My family and I (party of 19) decided to celebrate a wedding engagement at their facility and were all left displeased. It was expected to be a bit of a wait for all of our meals, although two of our meals didnt ever come out which took even more time to wait on them once we mentioned it. The staff was not accommodating to our needs regardless of the place being near empty. The food was nothing to be excited about, either. Not authentic Indian/Pakistani food as it was bland. One of the children ordered a glass of milk and that was an additional $6! Double the amount of an entire gallon! We were also charged for extra meals we didnt even order. When we noticed and called in the manager merely offered a refund of that one item. Typically the manager should be apologetic and welcoming the guest in for a complimentary dessert or some coupon to make up for their mistake, among many. Lastly, one of our family members went back to visit and give the place another chance. After waiting a ridiculous amount of time to be seated plus wait on his meal he decided to take it to go. As he waited for his meal (which took over an hour) he saw a server pouring a glass of wine to the people sitting next to him. This restaurant is run by a Muslim family. For many people alcohol is not a problem, but as practicing Muslims we expect there to not be any alcohol served. And to top it all off he got home to sit down and eat and noticed he didnt receive one item he had paid for. We definitely will not be returning as there are many other restaurants in the area that exceed Kababish in all areas.

I must reveal that while writing this review I am awash in an aura of tandoori satisfaction which, until this evening, I had yet to experience. The meal tonight was, from start to finish, one of our families most memorable. I travel much for my job and when on the road if the craving for Indian or Pakistani cuisine strikes, which is often, I have now found the spot to which the high standard can be set by; Kababish. The husband and wife team who own Kababish, Yousuf and Sam, are warm, welcoming and very friendly. They made the whole experience feel as though they have welcomed us into their own home for dinner. The meal starts off with the most light and crispy papadam. My wife ordered the Saag Paneer which is just perfect in its balance of flavors. This came with the basmati rice, which is the some of the most light and fluffy aromatic rice we have had. Both of my kids loved the Kababish burgers, made with the same wonderfully flavorful chicken the Chicken kabab is made with. They devoured them. I had the Kababish Tandoori Platter with six different Kababs to enjoy and every sense lit up with pure delight. I must say, please take a stroll down into beautiful downtown Cary and visit this highlight of the city. You will surely be planing your next visit after the first bite.

I was slightly disappointed with my experience at Kababish Café. The wait staff was very kind and polite. The papadums and samosas were quite nice, but "sauces" were more like water. The naan was very nice and so was the rice. The avocado salad was basically avocados that werent ripe enough on top of dry spinach leaves, without dressing, it was returned but they charged us anyway, it was a "dead salad". The butter chicken was not really buttery. The tandoori chicken was too lemony. The falooda dessert was just one scoop of ice cream, too much milk, some nuts, with iced vermicelli and some rose Jell-O at the bottom, not very tasty. The gulab jamun was just your standard gulab jamun, so it did taste nice. The mango lassi was quite nice but it was too watery. I am very aware of what good Indian cooking taste like, but this was disappointing.

The food was disgusting. The first sign to leave should have been that there were no other Indian/Pakistani/Middle Eastern customers there. A sign of good food is always seeing natives at the restaurant. The chef cannot decide if he wants to serve Indian/Pakistani/Middle Eastern food. As such, its a mess of a menu and master of none. The ambience is poor and not appealing at all. For the price they charge, a paper napkin and no table cloth is an insult. The waitress had a cold. She should not have been at work where they serve food/drinks. She was not attentive at all and did not understand the menu items and was not able to pronounce most of the item on the menu. For accurate review of the restaurant, read the reviews from posters for whom this type of food is native!!!!!

Offer nice sampler platters for lunch. Can choose either veggie, non-veggie or fish. What comes in the sampler changes daily so you potentially get to try something new every time. The food is all delicious. Unfortunately every time I have been there the service has been very slow. They are 3mins trip from work but because of the time it takes to get menus, drinks, food etc. I cant fit it into a 1hr lunch break. Last time was the last straw, just absurd waiting time with only 3-4 other tables full at the time. Before that it had already been borderline. I can only go here for lunch during work days so for my purposes only 3 star. I recommend Kababish if you are not under any time constraints. Again the food is very good. Just dont go there if you are stressed for time

Very excited to have this place open as Samreen and Yousef are amazing in terms of hospitality and service. My family and I really like the weekend brunch and have already gone there 3 - 4 times to enjoy it. My favorite is the sooji halwa! The only reason for 4 stars is because my mom ordered the kabob combination weekend brunch and they put white rice instead of the chicken biryani. I am sure the owners were not in at that time because I doubt that could happen with Samreen / Yousef around. Regardless, we understand that they could have run out of biryani but that should have been mentioned...at the least, something could have been substituted in its place better than the white rice? We hope to continue going to this place :)

I visited Cary for 2 weeks for business. I needed to find a nice halal place to eat and I certainly found it with Kababish. The service was awesome at each of my visits, which at times was daily. I visited in excess of 10 times. Food was awesome, really traditional Pakistani food with the right amount of spices in it. Could not fault the place at all. Every single dish I tried was perfect and would highly recommend. I have posted a lot of photos, each photo is of each dish and meal. It shows consistency with the food and quality. I had certain dishes on multiple occasions and consistency was amazing. A must taste visit whilst in the area!

Its a hit or miss with this place. I just dont get it. Some days the food is fantastic and out of this world, yet some days it looks like the chef took a day off and someone from another planet where cooking and flavors are just unknown concepts took over. For an example yesterday(4/1/2017) I ordered Tandoori platter and 2 chicken biriyanis. The kebabs were under cooked, the chicken was chewy and the marinade felt like it was put on after the meat was cooked. However, I have gone here a couple of times during week days and the food has been fantastic. Removing 2 stars for inconsistency. I hate inconsistency more than undercooked Kebabs.
