Comfortably Numb
Obviously the bad reviews come from people who have no idea howbad other supermarkets are. Ingles has its own pizza place, a fresh sushi bar with custom made orders, A humongous cold/hot bar. Hot bar has Asian, and Western types of food. So your typical Chinese food fare along with friend chicken, corn, carrots, squash, mashed potatoes, lo mien, sweet potatoes, yellow rice, all types of bean salads, etc. All kinds of ready made salads i.e; chicken/turkey/pasta/seafood/organic etc. I was SERIOUSLY overwhelmed by this place when I walked in!!!! Being used to your typical supermarkets in bigger cities which really only offer Wal-mart markets, Kroger, Publix, Albertsons, this place is heaven for food seriously lol. All of the areas for pizza, sushi, fried foods, deli, bakery, its like a ton of mini restaurants with seriously friendly people!!! They have seating as well inside for you to eat, plenty of room!!! Best selection Ive seen anywhere, TONS of options for organic body care, skin care, food, hair care.

I go to Ingles a lot and never seemed to have the trouble that these customers are talking about. However, in the evening and weekends when they have the kids come in its totally different. I think it is so damn rude to be talking over your head to the register next to you or the boy bagging for you.. PAY ATTENTION to the customer in front of you. Without them you would not have a job!!!!! I switched to Harris Teeter. The customer service there is fantastic! I would compare the difference between the to stores as Ingles is like Berger and Harris Teeter is like a 4 star restaurant

Attitude towards customers are well. Havent experienced any rudeness towards me but workers attitude towards doing their job is horrible. In the deli it takes a half an hour to make two 12 inch sandwiches. I know it isnt supposed to take that long to service a customer. Food in their hot bar looks unappealing and dry. Just a bad experience every time I go here. Take an extra 15 minutes and go to the Ingles further down New Leicester Hwy.

This store has been there forever! And its small. But ALWAYS clean which has to be a job as small as it is. I dont care for Ingles at all- I think they had a "captive audience" and if you dont want "Laura Lynn" items in a standard size of a lot things, you wont get it. They have built one on every corner. Way too much trouble to go anywhere else, and too expensive. But this little store is as good as Ingles can get....

Very rude customer service! I only needed to ask a question and the "boy" could not stop talking to one of the girl cashiers, who was not working at the customer desk, she was at a check out, and had her customer waiting while they were chatting about the party they went to. I waited and then finally interrupted them and he (long reddish hair in a ponytail) rudely ask me , "What do you want."

Im told this is the original Ingles, and I have to say... its the crappiest. Of all the local Ingles franchises Ive used regularly - New Leicester Highway, Tunnel Road, Merrimon Avenue - this one is by far the smallest, oldest, and shadiest, with the worst selection (particularly of local beer). I wouldnt go there past dark.

Just passing through town, it was the first grocery store we saw and it was a huge mistake. Almost all the refrigerated goods we bought were spoiled due to poor refrigeration and a couple of them even ended up being out of date which we dident realize till we reached our hotel. Avoid going here

This is my favorite Ingles. It is a smaller store, but it almost always has what I need. It is easy in and easy out (as long as you arent turning left out of the parking lot). Their employees are friendly, too :)
