I am very disappointed in this Publix. My husband and I decided to use this Publix Bakery for our wedding cake. I made several phone calls and even visited the store during business hours and no one was ever in the Events Planning department; they told me on several different occasions to come back later or call them later. They never returned any of my calls. When we went to taste cake samples they asked us about our budget for the cake; upon telling them our budget, they both made sour faces at us and began to treat us differently because of that. We finally settled the details of the cake, the date of the wedding, and the time it should arrive at our venue. I sent in 2 pictures of examples cakes for them to follow. On the day of the wedding, we kept waiting and waiting for Publix to arrive. It was 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony and the cake was still not there. I phoned Publix and they had the audacity to tell me that I requested the cake for a later time (which is completely false because I still have the receipt that clearly specifies the correct time they were supposed to arrive). I didnt want them walking in behind the ceremony and setting up the cake in front of the guests--thats just tacky! They were rude to me on the phone and told me that I had made the mistake and not them--completely outrageous! It was their error. Once the cake was setup on the display, there was not enough time for me to put flowers on it before the ceremony because THE CAKE WAS STILL LATE. When I finally saw the cake, I was so disappointed--they did not decorate the cake that way I had asked them too. They did not follow the example photos that I had sent them. I should have halted business with them after the tasting--my husband and I felt very disrespected when they began to treat us negatively for working with a limited budget.

We were at Walmart earlier in the day, but chose not to buy shrimps from there, and decided to go to Publix. When we were at seafood department, there was a customer being helped with nice customer service. There was no other customer waiting , but us. There were two employees: one was standing beside my husband, not even making eye contact with us and walked away. The other stepped away. We were waiting patiently to hear "Can I help you?" But what we heard first was "Are you just looking?" At that point we should walked away. We still wanted some shrimps, so I pointed at 8.99/lbs shrimp, but he thought I was pointing at 9.99/lbs shrimp and told us "we have to come back because he was thawing them out right now." We still got 2lbs of shrimps after we felt profiled as a customer and went through all this poor experience, just to think this is not what Publix promote their products and experience. My husband is from Tampa and we always had great shopping experiences at Publix until today. The successful businesses are all about people if you have great products to sell and serving people with great customer service. We will not come back to this location for a while since this experience was quite unexpected. My husband called the store after we came home and spoke with MOD and he did apologized for our experience.

If I could only show a picture of the sloppy platter that I received from Publix Asheville just now. Yesterday I had to struggle to order a wrap platter. Deli sent me to event planning, no one at event planning, went to customer service, customer service could not get any one in Deli to answer the phone. I was so frustrated I said I would leave. Wedding people came over and customer service gave me to a wedding person and they found someone in bakery to take my order all the while she is saying I should do my orders on line! So picked up and what a sloppy mess I almost started to cry. I showed them the picture of the platter they advertise and then the manager came over and said he would have them do it over for free. The person redoing the order must have been frustrated because she was being so careless that even the event planner was asking why are you cutting those wraps that way? They are cut on a diagonal with points that will not stay wrapped. The deli lady said that is the way they are to be cut. What a huge mess. It is a free S L O P P Y MESS! Never again. I am now seeing what I can salvage and serve.

As a native Floridian, who was so excited that Asheville built a Pubix. Im used to Publix being on its A game, unfortunately I will not be returning to this location . I drove out to South Asheville just to go to Publix because I perfer Publix brands and subs. No one is in line for a sub so i jump on the opportunity to get one. I wait and wait no one is around in deli so i figure ill come back so... I come back Its 1230pm and they dont have chicken and wheat bread to make subs?? 2 of my items i tried buying where miss priced... the guy that went to check the "right price" apparently got lost because he never came back.. i just left this publix without half of the items I went there to buy. As a person that grew up with Publix being the only grocery store around I am extremely disappointed in this location . I didnt complain to management, I didnt ask for free stuff, Im warning anyone who thinks "ooo publix is the best grocery store where Im from" it is definitely not the case with the location in Asheville. Save the drive go to Ingles.

We are so glad we chose Publix for our wedding cake! It looked beautiful and was absolutely delicious! Their event planning staff work with you to create exactly what you want and need for you big day without breaking the bank. We also used them for a catered lunch on the day of the wedding and everything was great! We planned a destination wedding from South Florida and it worked out perfectly because we were able to sample cake flavors and place the order at a local Publix, then just transfer the order to the one in Asheville. It was a pleasure working with their amazing staff who went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right for our special day!

We chose Publix for a number of services for our wedding and could not have been happier that we did!! We ordered several small cakes from them that tasted AMAZING and looked beautiful! We also ordered all of our flowers (although there was a mix-up with the flower department they were incredibly helpful and made sure I had what I wanted on incredibly short notice), as well as lunch from the deli for the day of the wedding. I couldnt recommend this Publix enough - everyone we came in contact with was so kind and helpful. One of the ladies handing out samples even gave me a hug when she found out I was the bride! Thank you, Publix - you have done it again!

I would give this store 10 stars but I cant lol. I was in last week with my parents and they took pride in what they do! Very helpful and care about for there customers. It was super clean and neat! Also they had a lot to offer. At the checkout we were having a wonder conversation with the cashier and the bagger. And then the bagger insisted to help us out. What I found nice was when the bagger helped us out he told us about the great deals and discounts and nobody is singled out. I had a great experience there and will be returning when I get the chance. Way better than Ingles Markets by a landslide. Publix all the way!
