The worst diner experience i have ever had. It may call itself Mount Olympus, but it is the Underworld ruled by Hades. Despite my wife and i still having the menus in our hand and still obviously checking out it, some crusty old Charon of a waiter kept coming by the table repeatedly. He muttered under his sulfurous breath, "come on, we dont have all day here." I tried to let that go, but then the food came out. My wife ordered blueberry pancakes. The center of the pancakes were still raw, basically the berries were swimming in batter. I pointed this out to Hades, the manager, and he said "thats because of the blueberries." What a schmuck. I can even make blueberry pancakes with the batter fully cooked through. If theres any example of why a certain eastern European country is in such turmoil, with 25% unemployment rate and 317 billion euros in debt, Mont olympus diner would be it.

We were visiting this area in NY, and by chance saw this "diner", on the hill top. We parked easily, then entered this glass and chrome diner. First impression was how spotlessly clean this restaurant was. There was a display of the most amazing desserts right in the roomy entrance. We were taken to a table, and instantly a waiter appeared, the menu was enormous. I was amazed at the apparent low prices, and selections, I was skeptical. We both ordered, our selections, the food arrived quickly, and it was amazing. The portions were enormous, and delicious. We came back the next day, with a camera, I took pictures of our plates full of food to show my brother when we got home. If we lived in this part of NY, we would be at Mont Olympos everyday. I asked if this was a chain, and they said no. This restaurant is a must do. Ten stars!!!

Inattentive waiter who didnt seem to have ever read a menu. Had to remind him that an entree doesnt entail a plate of greasy yet dry meat and a plate of potatoes. I had to ask (twice) for my salad (delivered 15 minutes after our entrees) and a vegetable that was warm on the ends, frozen in the middle, and brought to the table 5 minutes after the salad. When I informed the manager, he was very rude and claimed the bad food and service was my fault for not prying his eyes from the television. Never Again. Candlelight (north on Central Ave, past Burger King) has a late service and better food.

I ate at mount Olympus diner with my mother. She ordered the salmon. Which ended up being unsafe and bad. She proceeded to get very sick and threw up in the bathroom. Not only did the owner never come to the table but he was very rude to us when I brought it up. Me and my family are not coming back here and unless you want to be treated badly and given bad food I suggest you dont either.

Went to this spot on a Friday night. Ordered a porterhouse steak from menu, advertising 30oz+. Good service. However, when got the food, the steak was missing the whole tenderloin side. Told the server, checked with mgr, and said that it was cut like that... really !!! Maybe if i ordered a burger, probably would get a half patty.

Went for a Sunday brunch. Parking was a little tight. Inside, the atmosphere was relaxed and large windows made the place bright. Service was prompt and friendly, and the food was good -- pancakes and sausage, sunny side up eggs on corned beef, scrambled eggs with hash browns, and bottomless coffee. We will return.

This place used to be amazing. Now it seems no one cares. Had a waitress who acted like we were an inconbience to her and made it obvious she wanted to be anywhere else. Ordered a blt with fries and received exactly 9 fries. The toast was over cooked. The French toast ordered was undercooked. No care given at all.

This the home of my childhood and teens. To everyone else its Olypos to me it is still 7 Stars. Mr. & Mrs Mondrukas are not here. But it has the same flare and comfort food. Just wonder how many drunks would be here on a Friday late night... then it is really home.

A change of pace from the diners in nearby towns. Right off of Central Avenue. Not busy all the time, but the staff sometimes are inattentive or just go completely MIA. Food is good, so I cant complain too much. Very relaxed environment.

Hit and miss! Frequented by the elderly, the senile and the a.k.a. Alter Cocker crew. Watch where you are seated. Stay out of the rooms. Stay in the open area. Better service and a better group of people. Food is standard. Not cuisine.

If i could give this diner 0 stars I would. Awful service, terrible experience and overpriced crappie food. I will never return and NEVER recommend this place to anyone whose expecting decent service and decent food from a diner.

Good selection, servers are generally very friendly and attentive. Food is fresh. It is clean and spacious. Prices are... average. Overall a good choice for any basic meal.

Although I like this Diner allot, they dont filter the water nor the water for coffee giving it a chlorinated taste. The meals are prepared always the way I ask for it.

A solid 4 star diner, similar to the regular NYC experience. Breakfast all day, one of the hallmarks of a diner. Food is typical diner quality. Good for kids.

Decent prices, but food took longer than Id expected. Late at night its pretty desolate. Especially after all the businesses on Central Ave have closed.

This place is a bit of a time warp. The menu is quite extensive but as a result none of the dishes Ive tried are even remotely memorable.
