Wow! I have never seen anything like this before anywhere! Some guy at a nearby table apparently was expecting his steak to arrive more rare than it did by his comment "dont worry about it; but, its not rare like I ordered (the steak)." Moments later a woman (presumably the manager) appears with the same plate & steak in hand and basically told the guy that even though he, "I know you eat here all the time," that next time he should order his steak, "just black and blue!" After another 1-2 minutes of arguing with him she said, "you know, I can see that I am just not going to win with you, right?" I guess that I had some sort of disapproving expression on my face because she looked at me rolled her eyes and walked away. At this diner you pay on your way out so while I was waiting for the cashier to process my credit card the same manager asked me, "was your steak rare enough?" I just smiled and paid for the two tilapia platters that we had ordered. She continued, "I just dont want you to think that I was rude to that guy." I just smiled again and left. The food and the service are actually OK here, its a shame that these types of experiences leave a more lasting and damaging impression.

If I could give it no stars I would. Just walked out. We went in with three people half an hour ago. We were seated at a table and given menus. That is the very last interaction we had with a staff member. No one came and asked us if we wanted drinks. No one came to take our order. Right before we walked out the waiter came to our table and asked us if he could take the ketchup.... For another table. No one even acknowledged us as we stood up and walked out of the door. It was the most rude, unorganized, unpleasant experience I have ever had at a diner. The waiter passed us as we were walking out and still didnt acknowledge us. No customer should ever sit at a table for 30 minutes without at least being given a cup of coffee. And if you have that long of a wait until they can take your order bring bread... Doesnt cost you as much as losing customers does. A little bit goes a long way. I will make sure to tell everyone I know not to come to this diner. There are plenty of others in the area to chose from and no where else that I have ever received such abominable service.

The food was over priced and mediocre at best. The home fries are sliced over cooked potatoes that have no seasoning what so ever, the eggs Benedict was the worst Ive ever had! Someone attempted to grill the ham and it was tough and flavorless, the English muffin was grilled with no butter or oil so it was dry and gross, the eggs were over done but the sauce was okay. Coffee was bland and not strong at all. Glasses of water were served with menus once we were seated and tasted like nasty tap water. My boyfriends scrambled eggs were slimy and gross. My grandma had a farmers omelet and it was extremely dry and all the veggies were undercooked inside, also no cheese to hold things together. For the price you pay here the food is just not worth it, I would rather eat at McDonalds...or maybe even the dumpster behind McDonalds. Would not go back here again, Just happened to be passing through.

if i could give a negative star i would ! the waiter brian or bryan gave me attitude because when he brought out my salad it had fried chicken pattys on the top ( the menu says strips ) . i asked not be charged for these chicken pattys being that the menu said strips not patties ..so he than gives me a nasty look , & thats when i said you know what i dont even want it take it back than the manager comes over all nice and said im here to fix it but by than i really really didnt want it . she than brings out the same salad but just took off the pattys and puts the fried chicken cutlet on top. ( im thinking i would get a new salad ) which is the only reason why i told her what the issue was. anyways i didnt even eat it & now after reading the reviews i wont .. doubt i go back because there prices are extremely high for a "diner" like people have already stated.

New Rochelle Diner is a comfortable place to sit down and eat any meal because its roomy and clean, the staff are very friendly and most importantly professional. Weve only been here for breakfast but we enjoy it. My husband doesnt like the rolls but eggs over medium are usually cooked right when you get bacon make sure you let them know you like bacon well but cooked on grill not thrown in the oil. Most diners usually throw bacon in oil instead of cooking it nicely on the grill. Not saying that they do it but its just habit now. The eggs California was good and eggs Benedict but I got it with regular bacon instead of Canadian bacon. For some reason the English muffins have a slightly bitter taste each time Ive gotten it. Thats why only 3 stars.

This place was absolutely a nightmare. That black booger who was my waiter, aka John, called me "poop face" and after I finished ordering, I saw him fart, and spit in my food! The people there were loud and rowdy and there was even a fist fight! I wasnt even in the fight and I got punched for no reason! When the mairte d came around to "check up on us", she dropped a roach in my food!! Then, when I threatened to call the Health Inspector, she said the phrase, "Eat my farts", and yelled and threw tomatoes at me until I ran out of "her restaurant". Never coming back there!! ALSO, John you BLACK BOOGER, take some English classes because we didnt understand A WORD you said.

I was extremely pleased with my visit to New Rochelle Diner. The diner is very clean and the wait staff is dressed in uniform & look very professional. The food is delicious and the menu boasts of various dishes at affordable prices. I highly recommend New Rochelle Diner. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The Manager on duty, Mr. Christian came by my table to check-in and make sure everything was to our liken. I am looking forward to visiting this establishment real soon! Special shout-out to my waiter Danny. I appreciated your outstanding service and I thank u! U rock!

Went here this evening with my two young sons. We had the BEST waitress (Sharon) who was awesome and so helpful with the kids, given that I was on my own with them. The menu is extensive with a better selection for kids than most places, and the food was delicious (with plenty of leftovers!) It was a tad bit expensive for a "diner", but this place is way better than your average diner! The cake we took home for dessert was also excellent, and the restaurant was really clean. We will definitely be back!

Food ranges from horrible and very over priced to passing and very over priced. Cooks regularly over-cook burgers; cant get the orders right (like just now) and the quality control is non existent. Home fries are horrible and if a diner cant get those right theres a problem. Unless you get lucky or have very low expectations be prepared to pay out for subpar food and so so service. Reviews here are far too generous... Check out the rating on Yelp for a more accurate rating.
