The owner is in this place is a horrible person, she made a lot of deal with me before we had diiner party in the resturant. She didnt keep the deal and pretend that she forgot. Everyone is there at 7.00pm , the food didnt serve untill 8.pm, we ate and and finish birthday cake at 9.10. The reason , we had a diiner there becasue she said we could have Karaoke after and she clsoed at 10.pm. After the finisheing the birthday cake ,I asked her about Karaoke, she said "NO" that we should have done it before,but I said we were having dinner. Any way, she said she need to clsed now. I asked her for a couple of songs at least , she said she need to clean up by 10.pm. It is horrible that I spent $ 25 for 4 dinner plats of rice. and so one. This is the lesson for everyone to go in this place. In this economic like this , she should even kiss us for bringing business to her specail Wednesday night for extra 23 people. The foods are not great and the service is slow. She even know what the fork or spoon to serve for the cake , no napkins, no fill up the soda( which she agreed then refused claiming that she didnt remmeber that she told me and she paid for soda(of course youpaid for it)) I can go on and on, but I kept my cool last night becasue of my duaghter s birthday. If I am alone, I might have throw the plate of rice in her face. I will moniotr her and spreed the experices that I had from her to every one that I know and I predict that she and her resturant would be gone soon.

So i came here with my family, we are seated for 6 minutes no menu. I had to get up and get menus for my family. Then afterwards no one acknowledged us another 5 minutes although another family came in after us and received menus and service. Im forced to believe that my families natural tan had to be the cause on poor service...their natural juices comes from a frozen can and they add sugar. The food was good. The service and lack of attention.... also the fact that I was given a butter knife for my steak... well I dont know. Good food. The service... horrible

To post the minimum requirement is 1 star that problem I will take it to the proper site About this place I can not even call it restaurant if you have a problem you take it to the top in this case the owner and if the owner dont give a *&% about the situation in his stablishment them never come back and spread it around believe me people read You are reading it.

Very poor service came in to place a order for take out waiters were to busy flirting with these two guys at the bro just so can receive a 50$ tip then took my order 8mins later and then didnt put my order in with the chefs till 10mins later after me asking hey jus wondering did you place my order cause I see you doing is flirting with guys at the bar

Its a cozy spot and the price is decent I just wasnt fully satisfied with food. Kept it simple, chicken, beans, rice and plantains but chicken was a little dry. Its my 2nd time there and still left thinking about my other spot on merrick.
