The coffee is fantastic. The staff is great. People who arent used to the way they prepare their coffee ought to know that they brew each cup individually, so a single cup of coffee takes longer than at a typical, run of the mill coffee place. But it is worth the wait. Not sure if they ever have live music, but I think it would be a good place for small acoustic bands or singer/songwriters to play. My only complaint (and its more of an observation than a complaint) is that the last two times Ive been here on a midday Saturday, there has only been one employee working. And its not so much that it took a little while to get the coffee (its a nice atmosphere to wait in and, like I said the coffee is worth the wait), I more feel bad for the worker. Today, it got pretty busy out of nowhere, and she handled it professionally and politely but it would have been nice to have some help Im sure. As for the one star review on here about the person upset with their unsecured coffee lid and pricing and such. Yeah, ok, lids should be secure but were human beings and were not perfect. If you assume every coffee cup you receive is perfectly fastened then youre not a diligent consumer. As for the lack of help that that customer was complaining about after spilling their coffee, Id take it with a grain of salt. Also, I can imagine a customer who is not accustomed to this kind of coffee place might simply be confused about the pricing rather than Glen Edith pricing things incorrectly l. Its hardly something to get in a tizzy about. If the pricing was in fact inaccurate during their visit, the staff has been super polite and nice, Im sure they would have politely indicated that the pricing was erroneous and apologized for any confusion.

Glen Edith is the premier coffeeshop of Rochester. Excellent craft espresso drinks and solid pour over. The Elton St. location is the offshoot of the original Glen Edith at Somerton St., and doesnt have as many food offerings as the original, but has a parking lot (HUGE plus) and a brighter, more open space. Its proximity to Makers Gallery (right up Elton St.) is also a perk of this location.

Prices are displayed incorrectly.. Took forever to get our coffee... Then the lid was not on correctly.. It spilled all over my friend and we literally got no help from the staff as they watched... Nice.

Usually go to the Somerton street location but this one is nice too! They have a bar and high tables to sit at.

Highly overpriced and only comes in tiny sizes. Do yourself a favor and go to Javas, Boulder, or Cafe sasso.

Its all about Boxcar donuts. They bring the west coast craze of artisanal donuts to the east coast.
