We were a party of 3, I had the Crab Cake appetizer which was excellent, my gf had the Clams which were out of this world and her daughter had the Spinach Soup which they thought was marvelous :) I had the Pork and would say it was one of the best Pork dishes I have ever had, my gf had the Lamb, a that night special, that she was one of the best Lamb dishes she has ever had and her daughter had the Sole stuffed with Maine Crab, also a special, that she said was delicious. Now comes desert, ... not sure I can do justice to the quality of the deserts ... I had the Carmelized Cheese Cake YUMMMMM, my gf and her daughter split (under achievers) a coffee-raspberry something which they couldnt stop raving about, I got a little taste it was wonderful !!! My only criticism would be the chairs, they werent very comfortable for a tall person ... but that wont stop me and shouldnt stop you from going to the Calico !!!

I ordered a Fraisse cake for my girlfriends birthday party. Shes a pastry chef so I needed to find a place that actually made cakes that tasted good and wasnt only concerned with appearance. I was recommended Calico, and they did not disappoint. Calling to order was met with a friendly voice that wasnt annoyed that I wanted to buy something which is the experience some places. I picked up the cake on the day of the party and it was one of the best cakes Ive ever had. Really moist, flavorful and delicious. I loved the chocolate but the strawberry filling was commented on frequently Highly recommended. Dont tell my girlfriend. A second note, though. we did buy two of the mini cakes on display to try the next day. They didnt come close to the cake I ordered unfortunately. It could of been the 24hrs they had been in the fridge. I also bought some coconut macaroons. Incredibly good.

We ate here, a party of four on Thursday, Everyone had a different entree and different dessert. Everything was excellent and each of us thought we made a great choice, but would still try something different if we would return. Yes, it is a bit small, somewhat loud and there is a continuous stream of people coming in the dessert, but the service is great and helpful, is appears that the owners are there overseeing the operation and it is a great restaurant. Comfortable with outstanding food, at a fair price.

I popped by for my lunch hour after perusing the menu posted outside. The food was amazing, the dessert divine, and the service incredible. The prices seem comparable to other restaurants locally, but the calibre is much higher. Gluten free sits quietly side-by-side with other menu items and desserts. The biggest plus for me was the sizing. Its human sized, instead of mega-sized. Ill be back.
