After hearing here or there over a few months time about The Macaroon Shop , I figured since its "OMG !! quick throw on my blinker and pull in !! " it happened to be right infront of me on Rte 71. Well ! I guess *Now is that moment to see. (Thurs, Nov 13th 2014). Very glad I did ! Stepping up to the Door I noticed through the clear glass windows , a very long countercase spread of incredibly Very Delicious looking desserts and treats of all kinds... Including a warm Smiling friendly face greeting me as I entered. I immediately felt comfortable and welcome as I entered , noticing the very Clean, tidy organized environment .. and ofcourse the scents and smells of a Good Bakery !! Trust that I Pay attention to **EVERY** aspect and detail as Im also an Jersey Shore Dessert Entreprenuer and manufacturer. *Quality , *Cleanliness, Integrity and good Customer Service are vastly important to me , and in the Food Business. Beyond the Friendly service, after feeling like *an indescisive "big Kid" in a Candy store* all things looking equally Delicious, my eyes spotted those Wonderfully golden Macaroons ! I asked the still smiling and Attentive Ann for a few of them intuitively knowing I was in for a special treat and product. And Wow !! by NO means was I disappointed, the freshness, Flavor and texture completely redefined to me what a *Real Macaroon should be, along with the other pastry I bought .. Very Delicious and balanced flavors and properly priced for the Genuinely Great quality items I was quite pleased with. There is NO other place Ill go, ( or can go) to get Macaroons of this Caliber. And Please know... I Am not , and do *NOT get Impressed easily !!! I want to thank ANN , and BRIE for their friendly and welcoming Service, and to the owner Claire ( ??? ) for having and Quality product,running a well kept and organized business. Lets keep it Rockin on our Jersey Shore. Thank you Claire ! Im more than happy to write this comment for you ! I dont require the gesture of Macaroons for a review .. Year after year I request that my birthday cake come from the Macaroon Shop. They have the BEST buttercream icing hands down! Its light and delicious, not the supersweet chemical tasting stuff that some other bakeries use. I had a great experience with my daughters 2nd birthday cake from this bakery during the summer of 2014. I opted to have them put a picture of my daughter with Ariel (she had a Little Mermaid themed party) on the sheet cake with their edible screen printing. The baker took it upon him/herself to decorate the rest of the cake in a sea theme, complete with white chocolate seashells, without me requesting. We were all thrilled with how it looked and tasted! My kids also love the Sesame Street character cupcakes (and so do I since they are loaded with that delicious buttercream!) and I like the chocolate rugelach finger. The macaroons of course are also fantastic. And the brown coffee cake! Basically you cant go wrong with anything from this bakery!

While the confections at The Macaroon Shop are often quite good, I have had more than one less than exemplary experience with the sales staff. Yesterday, I went into the shop to buy some snacks. There was a sign saying that everything in a certain case was 75% off. Not being able to resist such a bargain I chose a cake that was labeled "gluten free black and white cake". Imagine my surprise when I was rung up for the full price of the cake. My credit card was already being rung up while I asked if I had misread the sign. It was explained that only certain things were 75% off. Displeased, I left the shop. Imagine my dismay when I go the cake home to find that it was a white on white cake. It will be a long time before I return.

I get to work from home on Fridays now ... my girl friend, Marianne Rich, came in from the cold and delivered to me for desert after my lunch a 1 pound box of Macaroons from The Macaroon Shop. Marianne had remembered that I mentioned liking macaroons, so she bought me some. Well, I guess I had never had one freshly made before because the first one I ate was like ambrosia. The second one I ate was like ambrosia. And the third one? .... thats right ... ambrosia. Three different kinds of macaroons and each one made to perfection. I highly recommend stopping in and buying as many as you can afford.

The Macaroon Shop, Im not sure where to start from but being an all year around local this is by far one of the best Bakerys around. They are best known for their Macaroons which i recommend to anyone who visits the shore area. My favorite Macaroons are the chocolate Macaroons. The Chocolate Macaroons are covered in a rich chocolate with a coconut filling i recommend any chocolate lover to try these. Also, i would recommend the coffee The Coffee is not to strong and not to light Just a perfect blend. Make the Macaroon shop your number one stop at the Jersey Shore in Avon By The Sea!!!

I come to this shop every year on my yearly visit to NJ. It has the best macaroons I hThe location is clean, well managed, and has a cheerful decor. Their selection is incredible. They have something to please everyone. Turnovers, cookies, donuts, beautifully designed custom cakes, and many more. Their black and white cookies are also fantastic. I have never been disappointed with any of their food, and the prices are more than reasonable. The perfect end (or beginning) to a beach day.

One of the managers at my job is constantly bringing in cookies, coconut macaroons, and these delightful little almond sugar cookies. OMG they are SO amazing. I am extremely happy/excited when I see a box of these things on the table in the kitchen. I have never been here, but I truly think it may be worth the drive. I highly recommend this place and I wish there was one in Freehold. I am actually a little happy there isnt though because I think I would have to go here everyday!!!

The Macaroon Shop has been around since I was a kid and it is one of those places that you have to love. They make so many wonderful treats but my favorite are the chocolate covered macaroons. These delicacies are reminiscent of mounds bars but better. When I serve them, my guests gobble them up and when I bring them as hostess gifts, they are so appreciated. In addition, The Macaroon Shop makes chocolate covered Vienna fingers, Nutterbutters and graham crackers. Yum.

My wife (and sometimes me too) visit a friend at Spring Lake 4 or 5 times a year and ALWAYS visit the Macaroon Shop to "stock-up", on the Macaroon cookies---but they never seem to last more than a week--- we just dont seem to be able to resist them!! Now I see that we can have them shipped and well try keeping the larder stocked via that method. If youre about to try the first one---I GUARANTEE youll be back many times---Theyre GREAT!
