Since i was a child i loved Adams. Every Sunday after church my parents would take us to Adams. We would get home and have sandwiches & watch football, baseball. Well i have shopped there every week ever since. Love the Garden Shows the most. So i am in there today, mind you i have spent $250 in the last 3 days there, and i payed for my groceries. Had a little left so i went back into isles. NEVER left the store just went back to get salad from the deli. I had 3 people following me around like i was going to steal. So i got my macaroni salad and grabbed a pack of hot dogs. When i checked out i purposefully left the dogs in my cart to prove that i was being followed. Went to check out and only put the salad on the belt. Sure enough the 3 that were following me were standing at my checkout and right away asked "What about those hotdogs?" That proved that they were following me watching me. I was pissed. I still am. I had just spent over $50 and over $250 in last 3 days, then they basically tell me I was stealing??? To hell with Adams. They profile there. I am 35 but was in work cloths so i looked ragady i will admit. But for them to profile loyal customers by looks is pathetic! Im sure they do that to black people and people that look out of place shopping there. I am pissed! I set a trap and they took the bait. Shame on ADAMS! This happened at the Poughkeepsie location. Never again will i shop there! Never.

I give 3 stars because I love Adams generally, but yesterday I decided to treat myself to a lobster tail from the seafood dept. I rushed home excitedly, ready to taste the delicious & sweet lobster, but instead bit into something so salty I nearly thought it was baccala. It truly tasted as if it had been soaked in brine fluid. I looked it up online to no avail, just lots of articles saying not to salt lobster, duh... Btw, I steamed it because I prefer that over boiling. I assure you there was no salt anywhere near the water it steamed in. Because I wanted it so badly I tried to eat more of it, but it there was no flavor to be detected due to the saltiness. So disappointed & its not like I can take it back & ask them to try it. Maybe they all were from the same batch & other people have called in today. Not crazy about the lobster being covered in icicles either. Its fine that it is previously frozen, but to be covered in a layer of hardened ice is a sure way to add weight.

We recently needed to have a new fence installed around our backyard. We contacted Dutchess Building Specialists for their recommendation because they have done several projects for us; they gave us one and only one name, Adams Fairacre Farms. We contacted Josh at Adams. Josh gave us several options in different price ranges, explaining many options. After making our choice, the scheduling for the new installation was just a few weeks. The three gentleman who did our installation were top notch! They were on time, dealt with any issues as professionals, explained what they were doing as the progressed, cleaned up everything as they went along leaving the place cleaner than when they came, and gave us a beautiful fence that complements our home well. Dont hesitate to contact Adams for your fencing needs!

Great family owned super farm market.. They grow their own organic and non organic produce as well as source out to our local farmers in the area. Not only do they grow their own annuals and perennials they also source out as much as possible to local growers. They have a great Seafood Dept. A great selection of meats from local farmers. The Meat Dept also sells grass fed and organic beefs. Free range chicken and organic. A great selection of cheeses and coffee here locally and globally. The store in general is prized on providing locally made products. They truly understand the value of keeping it local to their community while also providing great products both near and abroad! The customer came up with Adams catchphrase "I Love That Store!" That was naturally adopted throughout the company!

Meat department does not have the first clue about how to stock a counter. Everything is less than 1 pound or considerably less than 1 pound, just right for little old ladies but nobody else. Lazy shiftless employee in charge demands an order hours in advance for anything normal size. any excuse not to do his job, and you can see him breaking down and cleaning up the meat department hours before the store closes just to avoid serving customers. the Newburgh stores meat department does know how to stock a meat counter with a variety of sizes , so it is possible for this store to do so also if they will get employees who want to work for customers. So far for more than a year they have employees who are too lazy to give customers what they want to buy.

This is the least favorite of all the Adams stores I have shopped at and I still give it 4 stars! There is a fabulous selection of fresh fruits and veggies many of which are grown locally. The fish market always has what Im looking for and the meats are much better quality than the ones at major supermarket chains. The best is that you find things here you cant find anywhere else. Prices vary and those hard to find items carry a higher cost but overall the prices are reasonable. The only reason I took a star away at this particular location is because parking sucks and the store itself is so packed that its hard to navigate at times.

I really enjoy going here for the produce section as well as their selection of all natural and organic meats. Due to my family and I no longer following the "traditional American diet" we dont eat 90% of foods offered in grocery stores. Beyond that, Adams has a great selection of other items, services and products as well. Not just food but gardening, seasonal items and even in an in-store aquarium that my step-daughter loves to visit. The prices are great for what we shop for and they even have unique food related items that you may not find at other grocery stores.

This is the best Adams, and really the best grocery store for fresh products in the Dutchess area. I love the variety of produce and meats that they carry, they usually have a new something that I have never tried, which I love. All their produce and meat and dairy products are priced well and always super fresh. The amount of cheese they carry is incredible! One negative would be that other products are a bit in the pricy side, but hey, no one is perfect. They also have a whole section for beautiful (and well priced) flowers and gifts.

I purchased 19 trees and shrubs from Adams nursery over a two year period for my home. Adams has a large diverse selection from which to choose. The staff is knowledgeable and exhaust their efforts to satisfy and win the loyalty of their customers. When I had to return a shrub within the two year warranty the staff without hassle honored the warranty. I also purchased decorative rocks for my landscape and the two deliveries were accurate and delivered as scheduled.

This grocery store is falsely known to the local community as having all organic food, on my first visit to the store I had trouble finding organic food bc the organic section is extremely limited. Everything organic here is wrapped in plastic and often styrofoam. This store clearly does not grasp the concept that many people consume organic, not only for their health but for the environment as well.
