Honestly one of the worst paneras Ive been to in terms of service. When I order on their website and pick it up here, my order is wrong about 40% of the time. I just went in their tonight and tried to order using one of their kiosks. After waiting about 10-15 minutes for my food, I heard another girl ask about her food. The worker asked if shed ordered on the kiosk and the girl said yes. The worker said this had happened before and went and got her manager. There were 4 or 5 of us who had ordered on the kiosks waiting for the manager. Another worker passed by and told us we couldnt stand there, we were in the way. Finally, maybe 5 minutes later the manager comes out. Basically he says that none of our orders went through (although we all had pending charges on our credit cards). He said that the charge didnt go through on their end so we werent actually charged. I work in retail, so I understood the situation and that we wouldnt ultimately be charged, but one of the other people didnt and kept saying she was charged. The manager kept arguing with her. He finally said fine, Ill just give you the food even though you didnt pay for it--making it seem like she was trying to steal. The girl was literally almost in tears. She kept saying she wasnt trying to do anything wrong, but she told the manager her order and he made a big show of announcing that he was giving her food she hadnt paid for just because she was making a fuss. Meanwhile, the other 4 of us who never got our food were told nothing except that we could get in line and order again if we wanted so we ended up just leaving. So basically I wasted 30 minutes after work when I was tired and thought Id save some time and pick up food and ended up with nothing but a pending charge that could take a few days to go away. At NO point did anyone apologize to us. Like I said, I work in retail and I understand that the system malfunctioning was beyond their control. HOWEVER, the way they handled it and the inconvenience it caused us as customers was completely inconsiderate, unprofessional, and rude.

We placed our order over the phone for a group of 9. After being informed that there was "no delivery," we decided to go pick up our food. Since we ordered an hour in advanced, we assumed that the six bags handed to us had everything in them. Upon arriving back to our office on 67th St, we realized that the order was incorrect and complete orders were missing. Apparently, these people are fully capable of taking an order over the phone but completely incapable of putting an order into a bag. When I called to resolve the issue, I asked to speak with a manager who could help me resolve this issue and the rude girl on the other end hung up on me! I called back and spoke with the manager who told me that thier delivery person was not insured to deliver that far and that I would need to pay $25 for the catering service to deliver the correct items. **So not only do you incorrectly package my order and give me attitude about it (like it was my fault), but you are also asking me to pay YOU to deliver the correct items??? "Yes", she says. - Get the heck out of here!! After going back forth for 15 minutes, I finally just had her refund the missing items. Talk about terrible customer service!

Let me put it in a nutshell: I wont be back! I went there on a weekday with a date after the lunch rush, and we still had to wait in line. There is no such thing here as friendly service; there are no waiters, just counter service, but I felt we were being served by robots. And what is with that homing device by which the guy who delivers your food finds you? If this is the wave of the future, then no thank you. We had to wait 20 minutes to find a table. Their prices are not so great, and they do not make deliveries. Crappy business model. Sort of like a more upscale McDonalds. I would rather have gone to my local diner, where everybody gets a friendly greeting and good service, where you can individualize your meal from a more extensive menu than Panera has, and where the prices are just about comparable. AND the local diner delivers.

Ive been here many times. Its a good place after 12pm, can be crowded close to the evening. Morning hours are also ok, but one day... Went downstairs with my buzzer. Noticed 2 homeless sleeping in the living area. No one was there. I know why. And you know why too. Saw a few people entering that area and just turning back. Itd be a catastrophy is it was during lunch hours. A few employees passed by and it took about 10 mins to finally see the manager who politely told them to go outside and dont sleep. Very bad experience. Also dont seat by the wall where they have the lights attached to it. If you sneeze all the dust will go to your meal or to the person seating in front of you. They should do definitely do something about it.

In summary, employee made RACIALLY PREJUDICED remark. "When I picked up my order the employee asked if I was someone else under the pretense that I am Asian like the other customer. I said No, but shes my friend. They didnt believe me, and then joked to the employee, youre playing yourself. He continued to explain the joke to me, not understanding that this whole time I had been trying to end it. All of the cashiers then laughed. I am appalled at how immature and rude they were. I am definitely not coming back here if this is representative of their customer services." -A friend who accompanied me

Service was ridiculously slow compared to other Panera bread location I have visited. It was also ridiculously cramped took 15 minutes to find a table. Once I finally found some where to sit down and eat, I waiting 30 minutes for my food...And they got my order wrong. You would think with all that time they would have gotten it correct. Finally the bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Ive stood next to homeless people who had a better scent. Over all 5 thumbs down.

As much as Panera is a chain, it still makes really good bread. I think I would probably go for Panera over Amys Bread. And I really love bread, I literally will bring uncooked sourdough from Boudin back with me from San Francisco and freeze it I like bread that much. Their soups are good, sandwiches are a good stable. Can I just say: cinnamon crunch bagel with honey walnut cream cheese? If I ever have a day where I need an indulgence, this would be it.

This morning I ordered a coffee carton and 12 bagels(not toasted). There were only couple of customers but it took 15 minutes. They told me to just wait so I watied. After 10 minutes later, I asked for my coffee carton and nobody was working on it. The manager was screaming at me that its ready and started pour the coffee into the carton after my complain. They didnt even care to give me the cups, cream and sugar until I asked for it.
