From a 7th grader: Guests at MP (Michael Psilakis) Taverna at One Bridge Street, Irvington, NY 10533 will definitely not be disappointed by any aspect of this fabulous restaurant. Having been there multiple times with a diverse range of groups I can assure that everything about MP Taverna is wonderful whether you’re going there with your family or your boss. MP Taverna brings a high end twist to classic Greek food, something very uncommon. Whenever I go to MP I always order the same thing, the grilled branzino with the chips, simply because I’m a picky eater. MP offers a diverse range of foods for all types of people. The food ranges from vegetarian options like classic Greek salads and vegetable souvlaki to seafood like octopus, and even a kids menu. Here’s a tip, when you arrive they will bring you bread, ask for pita and they will bring you warm, delicious Greek flatbread. The service, like everything else at MP is great. They are funny and act like they’ve known you forever, and will accommodate the dishes to your liking. The maitred is pleasant and will try help you any way he can and after you get to know him will get you in without a reservation. All the servers will make feel welcome and important. The restaurant is completely family friendly and will make the dishes just how you kids like them. They will even make something special for picky eaters. They will joke around with your kids, tell them how cute they are, and even remember their names and orders for the next time. The ambience is one of fun, and is very versatile. It is a nice restaurant which can either be formal or casual. It can get pretty loud and full on weekend nights, especially in the dining area, so it’s best if you have a reservation. The restaurant gets much more crowded on days where the original chef and founder comes in from the city. In conclusion MP Taverna is the perfect place to bring of kids or your former boss. It is a fun-filled restaurant which brings a new twist to classic Greek food. The service will make you feel welcome and important and you’ll want to come back. I give 4.5 out of 5 stars.

We love all of the restaurants by this group, and the Irvington MP Taverna location is no exception. Came here Friday night for an impromptu date night with my hubby. We were surprised to see that the restaurant was mostly empty, but it was Halloween, so maybe thats why. We ordered the trio of dips to start. I am a big fan of the sundried tomato hummus and the tzatziki. The eggplant dip is ok, but not as good as the other two in my opinion. My only complaint is that the chef was a little parsley happy, and put big chunks of it on top of all of the dips. For dinner I got the simply grilled chicken with the tomato salad. I get this pretty much every time I come, and it is enough to bring home leftovers for lunch the next day. The chicken is perfectly grilled and the salad comes with tomatoes, grilled onion, and string beans, all dressed perfectly and topped with feta. They were a little skimpy with the feta, but other than that, delish. My husband got the hangar steak with sausage, which comes with a side of smashed fried. He contends these are the best fries in all of Westchester... They are big fries that are literally smashed down and fried again to crispy perfection. We were too stuffed to even think about dessert after all of that food! Definitely a highly recommended restaurant!

Hi, Sorry to say that but MP is NOT a real, traditionally Greek restaurant. On the menu was no gyros, no bifteki, no zaziki, no pita...but I could order a beef burger, thank you!!! I cant recommend this restaurant as Greek Taverna.

Happened upon this place on a Saturday afternoon and it turned out to be terrific. We were there for an unexpected delicious brunch, with live music, and a great waiter. The food, atmosphere, drinks, and price cant be beat

Nice Greek cuisine, great mix of traditional dishes, good service. Main dining room a bit noisy at full capacity. Perhaps the noise was from many kids attending fathers day. Will definitely visit again.

Great food and drinks. Very popular with locals. Reservations recommended. Bar can be more popular than the restaurant itself at times. Good place for some more exotic dishes like octupus or tongue.

Place was pretty good...just bring a FAT WALLET. My drink was small as Hell.......No worries...just sell some stock and you are ready to go.

Service is very slow..No AC (85 Degrees out) Out of 20+ tables only 3 have food. No one checked to see if we need anything. And more...
