Underestimating the Maple Room would be a mistake. The menu has deliberate focus: steaks, seafood and some creative specials. The execution nears perfection. Im always impressed by the quality and value! You can order one of several wines for under $30 (little mark up). It would be nice to see more creativity on the menu, but the need to keep it direct is understandable. Its great to have goods eats in the North Country.

Their winter menu is awful. I got the chicken smothered in what appeared to be a stick of butter. It was so overpowering and I have had a stomache since eating it. We got the crab cake for an appetizer which had a hair in it. The waitresses have one pace: Slow. The delivery of the food is the same, over an hour to get our food. Wish I could take back our dining experience. Waste of money!

The food was terrible. I have never in my life eaten a prime rib that tasted more like garlic mash potatoes than meat, who in their right mind does that? The characteristics of the meat were completely lost to butter and garlic and not in a good way. My husband had the lamb while that was seasoned much better it was dry. Overall for the prices we paid the food was poor quality.

Great steak, great service, great food and great value for what you get. The steaks are aged to perfection. Ive been to quite a few steak houses in this country. The Maple Room Steakhouse is right up on top of the list. I highly recommend there steaks.

Should be consistent and have awesome steaks but they dont. They shouldnt try to be overly fancy.
