All buffets have their shortcomings, for going to a buffet often forces one to confront the dregs of humanity and, ultimately, the dregs of the human condition itself. This particular buffet, however, offers enough salmon and savory soups to effectively counteract such ugliness. I am sure that in the era of Sharon Zhengs, ol Sharon shook in her boots at the sight of Hibachis offerings. While hibachi, perhaps, is not quite Hibachis specialty, the fish and sushi are plentiful and freshly supplied (most of the time). There are always tasty desserts which all good buffet guests look forward to. Those orange creamsicle pops are the perfect conclusion, in my opinion, to a long meal first begun with hot tea and some hot & sour soup (which, when not selfishly picked over, boasts some of the largest chunks of tofu one may ever witness in a buffet soup). If the options were not so great, or the overall quality so consistent, I may have removed one star from my rating, as there are some atmospheric, and even sanitary drawbacks. Lets face it, buffet time in its peak can be utter chaos. Thus, going at peak time will not give one the best overall experience. One will be jostled, shoved even, by the hoards. However, it seems that no matter the volume, the bathrooms are always a complete mess. This is unfortunate, as I will often consume my fair share of two or three pots of tea, and so a couple of visits to the ladies room are unavoidable. Not all of the latches on the stalls are in good working condition; there is always a mess of towels on the floor (once or twice, even, a diaper; and for whatever reason, the doors leading to both bathrooms are always fastened ajar, forcing ones eye to wander over to the mens room while hand-drying rituals are being performed. That is just plain awkward. Lastly, I will say that if you want to have an optimal dining experience, A) do not sit near someone with an iPad streaming Law & Order, and B) do not ever, when sitting in a booth, look at the wall which your table is seated against. There will always be food-bits stuck to that wall, and who knows how long they have been there?

When I first found this place about 4 or 5 years ago while working in the area, it was just after they opened their doors and I thought it was the best thing to happen to Chinese food. I even made a couple trips from home an hour away because I wanted to try the dinner menu. That turned out to be a mistake as one time I came on a Friday night and they had a large amount of seafood which is not a favorite of mine unless it is cooked properly to my liking, this was not. I did however continue to come for lunch when I was working in the area and was happy when I started to notice some other restaurants opening closer to home. The past few times now though I think they have started to think people are going to come just because of the ability to try a little of anything and if they dont like it get something else the next time. Maybe its just me but I dont think they are giving their food preparation techniques the best use of the food that is available as a lot of the chicken dishes seem to be overcooked and hard. Yes I probably will come back when working close by but I might also check out some of the local eateries instead.

If youre going to eat here do not pay with credit card! Food was pretty good and the waitress cleared out our table from the plates and refilled drinks. When I was ready to leave I left a 25% cash tip on the table and went up front to pay with my card. The same waitress from my table came up and looked at my receipt and notice I didnt leave a tip with my credit card and she pointed it out saying "you must pay tip now" I found that to be odd but I understand her job is something that relies on tips to make a decent wage so I shrugged it off and politely told her I left a cash tip on the table. She said okay and went off to retrieve the tip. Once I got home I noticed they charged an extra $10 to my card. They wrote in an additional tip and charged it on my card. Only reason I didnt leave 1 star was because the food was decent.

I have been three times the food is average nothing exciting an the desserts are nasty. The waiters are aweful. One time the woman just came an picked up my son an bounced him on her hip without even asking me anything. The last an final time I went the waiter was saying something about diner only an picked up my fork an starts poking at the food on my plate. I was so upset. I then went to talk to a manager there was no manager there an they didnt care. I then started to watch the waiters just to see what they do one woman picked up a dirty plate an scraped the food into the trash with her hands an the place some napkins on the table for the next guest without even wAshing her hands. Gross!

Servers and Hostess didnt show Hospitality. Rude. The waitress hovered over my table. No excuse me or anything like that when taking my plate from the table. Food was cold and it didnt look fresh. Took a loved one out for lunch and quite honestly it left a bad taste in our mouths metaphorical and literally speaking. Poor quality service and food. I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy. After hearing rave reviews I had high expectations. But after this one time only experience WILL NEVER COME BACK. Oh and P.S. both myself and my lunch date had extremely diarrhea and stomach cramps for days after. Let that be a warning.

The food is edible, but not enjoyable. Most of the stuff is stale and all around not fresh especially the desserts. Cream puffs were stale, brownies were rock hard and disgusting, the fruit wasnt fresh or even ripe. I personally think its a bit overpriced as well. And to top it all off, normally at a Chinese restaurant when you order tea you get black tea or at the very least green tea. They serve plain normal Lipton tea. I couldnt believe it. The only positive things I can say about this place is the atmosphere is decent and they have sushi. I dont recommend this place unless those are the only two things you care about.

Staff was pleasant but we were very disappointed in the food selections and quality. Weve been to Hibachi Grill Buffets in Jersey City, Watchung, and E. Rutherford NJ and thought wed have the same great experience here. Boy were we wrong! There werent as many "American" food selections. The other selections looked appetizing and steaming hot but were lukewarm borderline cold upon eating. We also thought the pricing was too high. Our bill came out to $69 and change for 3 adults and 2 seniors. If Im in this area again I wouldnt go back.

Very good food and friendly service. I went for lunch on Fathers Day and it was absolutely packed, but they were keeping everything well stocked. Not a single pan of food was even close to being low and everything was hot and fresh. The only thing I could complain about is that they didnt come to refill drinks at all but with every single table in the place full its somewhat understandable that they might slip up here and there. I will definitely visit again in the future.
