I am a visitor to White Plains, NY from India. I am a vegetarian, and often look out for vegetarian specialty places to eat. I am now a regular @ Masala Kraft Cafe, as I really like the cafe ambiance, love the food - I have had chole bhature, pav-bhaji, the Sunday-special - very well made idli, medhu-wada, and off-course the delicious and cool buttermilk, called muru at their place. Their chefs are very good, and the service is pleasing and warm. If they take time, because its fresh food being cooked. I saw most-reviews talked about higher priced points, and I guess that is do with the concept of getting bigger helpings in this country. But if care of quality and tasty food, this is the place to go. (I do get bored of the India buffets which are plenty in NY area)

Went to Masala Kraft Cafe for lunch for the first time. Excellent food, pleasant atmosphere, great service. Got 2 masala dosas, mysore masala dosa with papri chat and samosa chat for appetizers. The Kashmira drink (non-alcoholic, little spicy) was excellent (never had it before). The food did take some time to arrive, as it was being prepared (we were told). The papri chat and samosa chat were somewhat spicy but excellent as it like it a bit on the spicier side. Dosas were very tasty and tasted authentic. Would definitely go there again!

I love the food here and the bathroom is clean. I woulf give another star of they would ban loud cell phones. On a recent trip to restaurant, a family allowed their daughter to watch cartoons almost the entire time at full blast without a care in the world. There was no consideration for other patrons. No one told them to turn down the volume amd the place is very small. The person behind the counter also didnt serve us at the table like usual.

I have eaten here before, and the food and staff is usually pretty decent. I called to get carry out and requested to get the yogurt and chatni on a dish on the side, and the guy taking the order refused. He said that was not their policy - WTF!!! Since when can I not get things on the side, so I can decide how much to put in my food and it became a policy matter. Really disappointed in this poor customer service.

Delicious, authentic, South Indian vegetarian food.. We get the daily special meal as take-out for convenience pretty much weekly, but they also have a good variety of dosas, sandwiches and street foods, as well as desserts. The food is always fresh and the restaurant clean. The atmosphere is informal, cosy and airy and the staff are very friendly and helpful. This is our local go-to place for light Indian food.

Personally not vegetarian, infact Im one of those annoying people who joke about vegetarian food, but really enjoy Marsala Kraft. Have been going since they opened. Serve great simple dishes, nice sauces. Staff has always been friendly. Having a vegetarian friend Ive (reluctantly) tried several vegetarian restaurants in Westchester but think this is one is genuinely a great place to eat.

The best Indian food since I left London where Brick Lane is famous for its excellence. Here each order is prepared to your palates desire. The okra/eggplant special thali is a must try. The owner Jasmuti makes sure your dining experience is memorable. Takeout orders dont lose any of their rich flavo. Go to this gen if a restaurant

Everything is very good and probably the best you can find in this area. However, their quantity is really small compared to the prices. And also the deserts are not fresh specially the ras malai. Its frozen and bought ready. Otherwise a good place to satisfy your taste buds when you are in the mood for Bombay kind snacks.

They serve delicious vegetarian food at budget friendly prices. Although, they were not aware of cross-contamination prevention practices they have been open to learning how to prepare our meal safely for my tree nut & peanut allergic child. It is a sparsely decorated venue where you can eat casually and without pressure.

Weve been here 4/5 times . Its a great place to hang out over snacks and lunch. Small cozy place serving tasty Indian vegetarian fare. They were very busy on the Friday evening and hence service was slightly slow, but food was good as ever !

Good food and resonable prices. Completely vegeterian place which is plus for someone who is looking for pure veg food. Had Dosa and Handvo which was excellent. Pav Bhaji was also good.

Best for vegetarian lovers, especially Indians. They have the best masala fries hands down..... The chick pea salad is out of the world. Reminds me of my home town back in India.

I love Masala Dolsa, and this place makes it well. Broad Indian, not just Southern. You wont find many decent Indian places in this area, but this one really stands out

Love the food but there isnt a day that they arent missing some ingredient. Very poor management. On the rare occassion you dont have to alter your order, its great.

Really great small place here with some interesting offerings. Although I chose a simple dish (tikka masala), the curry was outstanding and was perfectly viscous.

They have a food variety of Indian food. Great for quick bites. Some of my favorites are chilli cheese toast, pav bhaji, vada pav and chole bhature.
