If only I could give them negative 5 stars...This place was obscenely expensive and we got virtually nothing for the price. The gas pumps are broken so theres no way to know if your being ripped off or not. For the ridiculously high slip fees you would think you could at least the basic amenities like wifi and electricity but no dice. Our electricity hookup worked for about 30 seconds before cutting out for the rest of the night. Basically we paid almost a hundred dollars for a few hours at a shoddy dock that was dangerous to use thanks to the oversized novelty bumpers they have hanging down. The only reason these pirates get away with it is because its the only place to dock for 20 miles or so in either direction on this side of long island. If this place is your only option do yourself a favor and sink your boat at sea.

My family and I went here on 4th of July and it was very disappointing. The host and hostess obviously did not want to be there and were annoyed we wanted to be seated. When we finally did sit it took over 2 hours to get our meal and sadly it was not good. The swordfish was dry the lamb chops were cold and the vegetables were just raw thrown in a little bit of oil and tossed into a hot pan for a moment because the centers were cold and hard. I dont like to write bad reviews but after spending over $300 on a family meal youd expect a little bit more. I understand its a holiday but if your staff doesnt want to work July 4th and your kitchen can not handle it then close. This place has great views but I dont want to spend a lot of money to get an attitude and a cold meal.

Used to like this place. What happened ? Tried lunch...could not believe the poor management and food. Served me a shrimp cocktail with glassy, uncooked shrimp. Returned same, and asked the waitress to have the kitchen boil them another minute. After 15 minutes, they were back, but grilled, and on the same dish of ice !!! They were hot on top and cold on the bottom, as the ice melted from the hot side. Waitress told me they boiled them, but then grilled them too, to make sure. The manager showed up and told me l did ask for them to be cooked more. She was nasty, and defending what in no way constituted a shrimp cocktail. Bye the bye, the New England chowder was gummy and sandy. I dont understand whats going on in a formerly pleasant eatery !!!???

The mgmt gladly accepted our group reservation of 25 people and assured us that they can serve us promptly with quality food. Wrong! At 7 PM we sat down, were given only 2 servers and no bread. At 8:30 PM salads and appetizers were finally served. Thats right - 1 1/2 hours of sitting with no food, not even bread. At 8:45 PM most dinners finally came with bread for all. At 9 PM the remaining dinners came. Thats 2 hours, yes, 2 hours to wait. The food even was lousy. Risotto was a greasy burnt pancake, like a hockey puck. Then the servers had the nerve to add 18% gratuity to each check. The worse evening ever for our group!

Its a nice place to stop after the whole day of having fun outside. We chose a table outside to have nice views of the boats, birds, bay, beach. A nice staff who answered our questions about some meals. Good choice of fresh fish. No one pushes us into leaving our table. It was OK to order only beer after our dinner. The staff was ready to help us and checked from time to time whether everything was OK. It was neither too often nor too rare - just in time. A light breeze was blowing, birds were flying above boats - these little things made our visit in this restaurant even more awesome. Worth visiting when you are in that area.

The hostess Jackie had a hard time distinguishing between a party of 5 and a party of 4. We the party of 5 requested a table near the window and then a party of 4 came in and for some reason Jackie had a hard time with this because the party of 4 was seated first at the table near the window which we requested and then sat us in the middle of the room and she was very rude. We later found out Jackie is part of the owners family (how sad). From there it went down hill the food was average to say the least.

Oaklands is on the bay side of Dune Rd at the Shinnecock Inlet. Its got the best atmosphere in the Hamptons on a summer evening. You may have to wait but there are indoor and outdoor bars that afford great views. The food is always outstanding, Ive eaten flounder my whole life and they had the best Id ever eaten. When we have guests come to visit we usually take them to Oaklands, its never let us down. Fresh fish arrives on sport fishing and the Inlets commercial fleet. It cant be beat for fresh seafood.

Not worth it at all. Too many great restaurants in the hamptons who are happy to have your business

Poor service.party of 12 we waited 1 hour for 8 lunches to be brought then another 25 minutes for the other four. The food was average. It wasnt busy this thursday afternoon. . When we complained to the owner they told us the drinks were free. We had water. So i guess they charge for water at Oaklands. To add to the insult they took $2.25 off each check. Stay away. There are so many places to eat local. It appears they dont want our bussiness. Wont be going back.

Third trip to Oaklands. Outside, great deck...no service. Sat over 20 minutes before someone offered us our salads we hadnt ordered. Place wasnt particularly busy either. In the meantime, wife was getting bitten by flies, other gals were wrapping legs with the cloth dinner napkins on their legs to abate the flies. We left. Thanks for the ice water.

You can not beat the view, It is breathe taking, The crab cake is excellent. A great spot in the Hamptons for the view of the bay and the ocean and I have always enjoyed the view! Susan and Nick at the outside bar provides excellent service and Peter in the inside bar is always accommodating. Great food, great atmosphere, wonderful times there

GREAT atmosphere! Great food!! The views are fabulous whether sitting on the bar side of for dinner on the back deck. I can see how this would be a great spot in the winter too with a fireplace in the bar. I will definitely be back and its just down the road from the public beach- makes it a days destination. Stuffed 2lb lobster was fabulous!
