First off, lets just say that the actual restaurant was dirty. My silver wear was bent and my table cloth was full of stains. I was disgusted by the chips in the porcelain plates and how everything was presented overall. I tried to put that behind me believing that the food would make up for it. Not only did they make me wait almost an hour and a half for my total meal, as they would bring me pieces of my order slowly; for example I ordered shrimp and broccoli and they literally brought me shrimp after an hour and then broccoli after another half an hour passed. The food was subpar and I didnt really like it at all actually, everything was typically drenched in soy sauce and super salty. So far I had experienced a dirty, disgusting restaurant and on top of that the food was bad. What could be worse? The service. I was appalled by the service as I would see how others were served before me, mainly because I wasnt of their kind. I was disgusted how I ordered a small meal and it took up to 2 hours and Chinese families next to me would order extremely large meals and receive them in minutes after ordering. Their tables were well served and they received large meals in such haste. I felt so discriminated and over what, food? I couldnt help but complain and I could do nothing as I would see stunning plates of food pass by me and I would be sitting their wondering when my food will be coming. I was so overcharged as I literally paid $15 for asparagus and charged for rice that should come with my meal. I never wrote a review in my life and this is the first time I just had to because I was extremely disappointed in the fact that my night was ruined and I was overcharged for disgusting salty lobster in a disgusting unsanitary environment. If I could give 0 stars I would honestly.

Ive been coming here for awhile now. Its my families go to Dim Sum spot. Theyve changed a bit over time but the food always stayed the same (taste wise is still pretty good). Price has went up a bit over the past year or so which is a bummer. I believe they got rid of the whole buffet aspect and strictly focus on dim sum, dinners, and parties now (but I could be wrong). Atmosphere: Place is very large and has the whole Asian restaurant feel to it. There are plenty of seating but during holidays they do get over crowded and the wait is a good 20 mins and more. When you enter the place youll follow the stairs right upstairs and then through the doors. Their lower level serves take out. Service: Eh, I would say service is ok here. Once youre seating and they give you your tea or water, the staff doesnt really come around as much to ask you if you need anything. Theyll come by to pick up the empty trays though. Many of them speak Chinese only so I would recommend going with a Chinese speaker (but its not required). The lady with the carts take awhile to come by (especially when you know which cart you want cuz they have all the good foods). Something interesting: $2 Parking in the back, just make sure you get your parking ticket validated. They also take card (since many Asian places dont in Flushing)

This place looks good from the outside and from the waiting area, but not what it appears. The food is below average, although there are one or two dishes that met my expectations. Dont go here if youre looking forward to eating crab legs. The Asian people that come here are ruthless, they are not ashamed to cut in front of you to HOG as much crab legs as they can fit on their plate. I thought it was maybe the individual I encountered, but when I went back a second and third time, I found more rude people. Seems to me like its the culture. I dont like it what so ever. If you dont believe me, go for yourself and write a review, I would love to hear from your experience. I would have to agree with the review below (The thirteenth review) "I dont now how this place passes inspection."

While most restaurants are either or, this place is both. For this review Im only going to talk specifically buffet. The interior of this place is quite beautiful. It feels almost like a fairy tale, sort of, not really. A really bright place that smells like food. Inside the buffet, there are several stations which include dessert, fruits, sushi, and your regular "Chinese" and "American" food. Its not amazing, but it is not bad either. I really enjoyed the pork station where you make pork sandwiches. Thats not what its called but youll know what Im talking about when you see it. Price is affordable and I believe no tip is necessary. The only problem is some days it gets busy and parking will be bothersome, but they do have rear parking available most of the time.

The service and food are both terrible! The servant leak the soup on my friends jacket and car-parking service guy were very very rude and forced us to give him more dallors for tip! The floor manager with glasses covered the waiters mistakes and blamed it is my fault, I cant believe it! I will tell my friends never come back again and already send my comments to Chinese Twitter. I dont think East Buffet care about his customers- Here is what i said in my chinese twitter Never never never come to East Buffet again! I will tell all my friends never come to East Buffet again!!

I have some fond memories of east buffet. growing up, this was the place for any flushing kid to throw a party. for around 20 dollars you could get an all-you-could-eat buffet that was worth splurging on. in recent years however the price has gone up and the quality down. i remember when they offered unlimited lobster, but because people started hoarding, they implemented a one-lobster-per-table rule. not exactly all-you-can-eat, but the rest of the food was still pretty good. especially a dedicated line for oysters.

Always come here with my family. Food and price is great. Their dim sum is above average, good variety with the traditional Cantonese dim sums available. They have a valet parking available in the back and a very noticeable entrance on Main Street with a take out section on the bottom floor and the main dining section on the second floor with elevator access. I do recommend coming here to try some traditional dim sum. However, beware of coming here on the weekends. Anytime past 10am expect a long wait.

This is a long standing place for dim sum. The dim sum restaurant is on the 2nd floor. The first floor is ready to go cafeteria style offerings. The food remains good and easy to order. They have specialty items like clams, curry pork, etc on the side. Service is very attentative and polite for a Chinese restaurant. There is a no tipping policy though I am not sure why. During the winter the place can be down right cold as they always leave the exit door open ajar - not sure why?
