I recently ordered sushi takeout from wild ginger. I have been to the great neck location probably about 40 or 50 times over the last 5 years prior to my first experience with the huntington location. I ordered a calamari roll, a shrimp tempura roll, a rainbow roll, and an eel avocado roll. Upon just looking at the sushi, I could tell that it was not comparable to other sushi restaurants in the area. The Calamari roll was completely stale, the shrimp tempura roll seemed to be crab tempura to me, the eel avocado roll was actually decent and the rainbow roll was the smallest rainbow roll I have ever seen, and the fish certainly did not seem fresh. Now I pride myself on being a sushi expert and I can tell you the sushi at this restaurant is HORRIBLE to the point I cant even believe they would ruin their reputation by serving bad sushi. I called and spoke to the manager who actually admitted to me that he agreed the calamari was stale! Can you believe that he agreed it was stale! I mean if he thought that it was stale why would he send it out that way? Then he told me that the shrimp tempura was good, as was the rainbow roll and eel avocado roll. I agree with the eel avocado roll however the shrimp tempura if it was that was also HORRIBLE and the rainbow roll was completely SUBPAR. The manager in an attempt to rectify the situation offered to send me another calamri roll. I assure you that it was still as stale as the first time they sent it, so I am surprised that they would have done that. I would tell you to never go to this restaurant for sushi. you will be extremely DISSAPOINTED. However I can say that the GREAT NECK location is much better and the chinese food there is excellent. Great food Horrible Horrible Horrible service We have been going to wild ginger since the restaurant first opened and we had to bring our own bottle of wine and the beer free since they didnt have a license to sell it. Since then I have taken my family there over 25+ times. For the 1st time ever we ordered food to be delivered. It was delivered.. we sat down to eat.. (thinking this is great thAt they deliver) and it was ALL the wrong food. I called the restaurant and the girl advises that she will contact the driver and that they will make ALL new food and redeliver. I Agreed since of course since mistakes do happen. As I wait for the new correct order to be delivered I call back and say "this is annoying.. I gAve the driver a 15% tip.. I would like that refunded or given back" they advise that they cant do that. Unknown to us we must have ordered the food through Yelp???? Okay, so what .. just refund me $7 and we are good Nope cant do it Just send the driver with $7 Nope cant do it Manager is on vacation .. so assistant manager says: uhhhh no I can resend food or credit u the $50+ you spent on food.. now its getting stupid and I want a refund Nope cant even do that So they mess up, and its my fault ?? If that was me the customer would not only get their correct food but also get a credit for the entire bill if not more to come back. Food is good but managed poorly. So u lost a customer of $7 Ill save the wrong food in a sealed bag and bring it back to u on Monday when the REAL manager is there. Sad ending Learn how to do the right thing

I wish I could give this restaurant a 0! i went because i had a groupon coupon and ordered the mighty roll. it came out looking good but to my surprise upon tasting the mago was completely unripe, were talking crunchy. i ate another piece hoping to not mind it because i didnt want to make a fuss about it. realizing it was inedible, i spit it out and had my bf try a piece telling him it was gross. i called the waiter over explaining the mango was unripe making the roll inedible and i was not pleased with it. he then began to argue with me about how the mango was ripe and that he had already tried a piece. INSANE in all my mango experience i have never had a crunchy mango i mean get real. he told me i should not have eaten so much and that they cannot replace it i said im done eating here and i want the check. he did not take the roll off the bill and so i asked to speak with a manager when he explained the manager was not in i asked for the name of our waiter and the managers name. they refused to provide me with this information. NEVER GOING BACK and telling everyone not to try this restaurant.

A few weeks ago we dined here for dinner. While eating her entree my fiancé injured her tooth while biting down on a rock that was in her food. We called the manger Han over to inspect it. We found 2 rocks and fragments throughout the dish. He spoke to the kitchen and had no explanation for this. He took our name and number and said the owner would call us. After multiple attempts on our part we have not heard from the owner. When we call the restaurant we rarely get to speak to Han and when we do he just tells us that their insurance company will contact us. We have already paid the first dentist bill, the rest of our meal at the restaurant including tip, and will now have to pay the next medical bill with no accountablity from Wild Ginger of Northport.

I usually go the East Northport branch coz the food is good and the service is great. However, when I went there the last time I wasnt impressed by the food aside from the rude service we got from the waitress. I thought it was just me but my other companions also noticed how she seems to be rushing us with our orders when the place wasnt even full at lunch time. I dont think I want to bring my guests there next time.

The best period. Amazing sushi, but my favorite surprisingly would be their Chicken & broccoli, it is amazing! Anybody who rated this restaurant 1 star should be ashamed of themselves. And to wild ginger, Keep doing what you do!

So bad! I will not waste my money again. Pad Thai was inedible, dry, just noodles. Fried dumplings were cool and rubbery, not hot and crispy. Soup was yuck. Edamame was not seasoned, and over cooked. So disappointing,....

I got takeout from here last week. I thought the food was super tasty, quantities were large, and prices were very reasonable. Plus, the online ordering worked well and my food was ready to go when I got there.

The food was delicious and Im looking forward to going back again. I had the vegetable lo mein and some sesame chicken, which was crispy and juicy. The service was ok, but nothing spectacular.

Ordered vegetable wok stirfry with deep fried tofu - side of chili sauce. Excellent flavors. Chop sticks are bulky and slippery. Food was lukewarm. Would visit again though.

This food is absolutely amazing! I had the chefs wok special. The scallops were coomed to perfection. This was my third time there and it is always fun to try a new dish!
