As a frequent visitor of the Elm St. Bakery, I can attest to their consistently amazing food. There arent many (if any) places you can get locally sourced, seasonally inspired, great tasting cuisine that is way better for you than any other restaurant youd get in the area. A few things my husband and I love: -The Food: The food here is hands down some of our favorite. They put a lot of time into creating their menu, which changes weekly (by a few items) and seasonally, according to what veggies are available. You can tell that their hearts are in their cooking and presentation. -The Staff: The staff here are very hard workers and want their customers to have a great time. Even on their busiest of nights Ive yet to hear any employee complain, and they always go above and beyond. They know theyre helping serve up quality food and really enjoy doing so. -The Atmosphere: The Elm St. Bakery is housed in an awesome location in cute town East Aurora, NY. You can eat outdoors on their patio area, inside along the windows at nice tables to watch the East Aurorans walk by, upstairs to have an overhead view of the bustling restaurant, or downstairs in front of their talented chefs. This also has an awesome view of their 800*F + wood stove oven that they use not only for pizzas but many of their main dishes. -The Baked Goods and Desserts: I really cannot say enough.. Where else can you find such amazing gluten free options? Their baked goods, thanks to Luci and friends at the bakery, are out of this world... Were talking amazing breads, cakes, cupcupcakes, chocolate ganaches.. Their coconut macroons are THE BEST. The cowgirl cookies are my fav.. I pretend theyre healthy granola bars (and they probably are better for you than most granola bars out there). We had the ladies at Elm St. bring some amazing desserts to our wedding last year and our guests loved them so much theyre still talking about how much they enjoyed them (yes, they cater weddings and parties too!). -Also: I didnt even get into their amazing breakfasts (uhm great kimchi, local eggs, breakfast sandwiches, lox/bialy yes please!), their coolers of great cheeses and drinks (kombuchas, beers, etc.), housemade granola to go, and a really nice selection of fermented foods! -To the review saying they dont have dairy/meat free options: Yes they have PLENTY of meat free options and always have, and they are more than happy to accommodate all dairy free requests. Im not a writer, I dont work for them, and I could (obviously) keep going on and on.. But I wont. Just go eat there. :) If you want wonderful food at a place that makes you feel more positive and inspired after visiting, I highly recommend the Elm St. Bakery. Enjoy.

This place is top notch. Order anything on the menu and you will be delighted, even it its a little out of your comfort zone for price and/or taste preference. They really put some serious effort into each ingredient and the dish as a whole. I recommend sitting at the long bar/counter and watching your meal be prepared. Managers and wait staff are also very attentive and prompt.

Cannot say enough great things about this place! The menu changes often and each meal is better than the next! The pizza is a must. You will likely wait for dinner on the weekends, but is perfect for a casual week night dinner. The breakfast pizza and sandwhiches are also amazing, but the coffee leaves a little to be desired. Everything else is simply amazing.

What a great place. I wish I was staying in the area longer just to come back here. The resutrante/cafe area is super open and bright. At dinner the chefs were busily making woodfire brick oven pizzas behind the bar area. The wait staff was just the right level of attentiveness and had helpful input. The pizza and appetizer I had were delicious.

Amazing place, great food, very friendly and professional staff. Staff took a great care of us when the open-face porketta sandwich that I ordered was given to somebody else by a mistake and we had to wait for a bit, so they gave us money back and also supplied with some of their goodies. Really cool people, definitely recommend to visit.

I went there for breakfast and all of the breakfast sandwiches were premade not made to order, I cant stand mayo. My wife ordered something that almost resembled a bagel but then she had to wait in line again to toast it. I also tried to buy some fresh bakery rolls for dinner as well. They dont carry rolls, its a freaking bakery.

This place is an interesting spot you can get a craft beer and a fresh homemade pastry, I had the potato soup and Italian sandwich deal;a pastry for home was great but, seeing how awesome everyone elses plates looked only makes me want to come back and try something different next time Im in the area.

High end bakery with a small town feel. You could eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner there on the same day and leave satisfied after each one. I feel like trying that. They definitely live up to their mission of creating a community gathering place. Seems like a lot of the locals enjoy it.

ESB BREAKFAST SANDWICH $5.95 made with artisan breads, lightly spiced aïoli (mayonnaise), arugula, a perfectly poached egg, local bacon and local cheddar cheese – wrapped, kept warm, and ready, is terrific. All the freshly baked breads are top notch as well.

Essentially closed between 3-5pm, then reservation required starting at 5. Ridiculous. Then not even open for dont Sunday. This was the third time Ive tried to eat there besides Sunday breakfast and their business hours impeding me.

Unfortunately, the new chef has not lived up to the high bar Chef Brad set. The new dishes are heavier and uninspired. Also , there are no dairy/ meat free dishes. Cant say I would recommend to anyone.

You really cant beat all that they offer here! Everything from fantastic coffee to outstanding pastries and sandwiches. This is the kind of place that offers it all. A must visit if you are in the area.

Great food, but long lines and wait times in the evening as well as high prices can put a damper on the experience. Great place to check out, but it is too expensive to go for food on a regular basis.

Cool atmosphere. Lots of woodwork, cozy kind of feeling. Lots of pastry options. The bacon, cheddar scone was to die for! We were glad we stopped in & are looking forward to coming back to try more.

The desserts are wonderful! They also offer gluten free baked goods, which my husband said was excellent. Homemade soups and sandwiches are delicious. Vegetarian options are labeled with a "V".

A Tremendous bakery program with a great lunch and contemporary dinner. One of the best restaurants in the suburbs. You cannot go wrong regardless of what time you show up.

Nice interior but I thought $10.50 for a whole slow roasted pork sandwich was a ripoff. At my regular sandwich place I can get a bigger tastier sandwich for $7.50.
