From the food to the service to the design and decor, this place is a home run. Where to begin; I think Kate gets the nod and one of the best servers one could ask for. Her patience, knowledge, hospitality, and overall desire to ensure that youre having a great time is second to none. The food was delicious. We had wings as an appetizer and used the caddy of sauces to try different flavors. For dinner, the baby back ribs were fall off the bones greatness. I wish this restaurant all the success in the world and when Im in the area again, Im surely looking forward to dining here again. I truly hope that Kate will be my server again. She really made it an exceptional experience. Thank you Southbound BBQ.

We enjoyed Southbound BBQs original style on both food and ambiance. Everything you see, hear, and smell around you is just right. Great interior design, with modern twist on country. Unique flavors, and their own sauces which you cant find anywhere else. And it wouldnt qualify as good southern food if they didnt have the best cornbread we know of in town. Local beers, TVs at the bar and visible from all tables if youre trying to watch the NASCAR race or football game. Will need to try the drink menu next time. Indoor and outdoor seating- will be great for summer. We anticipate theyll need more tables outside because the food is so good!

The ribs are fall off bone good, not dry and not too moist. Really good flavor. No sauce needed. If you get Brisket, ask for lean end, good flavor. Pulled pork is good as well. The Brisket Baked Beans are good. Roasted corn has a bite at the end, so be ready. Corn Bread is life!!! The Macncheese would be the afterlife! Order extra! My experience... I have been to Salt Lick BBQ in Driftwood, County Line BBQ on the Hill in Austin, and Luciles in SoCal. So I know a little about good BBQ.

Nice atmosphere....but the food tasted old and dry. As if I was eating pre heated leftovers from two days ago. Customer next to me said the same thing about her wings....I had the ribs. Joe was a very nice and well mannered bar tender. Id go back for drinks or to perhaps try an appetizer....but not for a full meal. I read another review where a customer said his ribs were dry....but I rolled the dice anyway. Good BBQ is just really hard to come by in the area. Shame...

Awesome.... I eat bbq all the time all over the country. This is definitely some of the best in the NY/NJ area. I have only been here once and picked up for home and everything was great. I smoke brisket and ribs all the time and my son compares all other ribs to mine and he loved them. Looking forward to going back and eating there to enjoy the large bourbon selection.

I was there last night with my best friend, we sat outside it was such a beautiful evening and the service was wonderful, Keith was great! The food was delicious and we had to take lots home b/c our eyes were bigger then our bellies and we just wanted to try so many things on the menu. Pete the owner is such a southern gem and so sweet. Cant wait to go back!!!!!!!!!!!!!
