I would like to start off by giving them a big thank you! I ordered take out tonight and my dad went to pick up the order. After about 45 minutes I wondered what happened and called him. He said the order wasnt ready and that they just started the order after he got there. Which was very surprising since theyve always been very prompt in the past. After my dad came home, I found out why. He went to L&B by mistake. Shortly after my dad came home Delmar called. The guy was very nice and not mad at all. So hats off to them. I figured at least my dad mistakenly went to L&B and not some hole in the wall. But the pizza was very disappointing. Delmars crust and flavor is far superior. Not sure what all the hype with L&B is all about. Stick with Delmar. They are the best in the neighborhood.

Get a corner slice of their sicilian pie, then its okay to move on to the next life. Delmar Pizza is the other pizza on Sheepshead Bay Road, the sleepy little fishing village in a corner of the universe has two pizza places that dont have to compete since eating at either one will let you leave this planet feeling that you have truly tasted great pizza. Chicago pizza requires some silly dish this requires only your sense of smell and taste. Eating a slice explains to all the reasons why we love pizza. At Delmar you want the square slice nice light crispy crust with an airy dough and sauce that is just oh so good I could type for days and only think how I will buy a plane ticket to go home for my next slice. Happiness is a warm slice, and then you can move on.

The pizza is good. The chicken rolls are ok and I order them all the time when I come. The staff are rude. One day I got a chicken roll from the counter the next from the fridge. A guy told me the counter are for display only and are "fake, with nothing in them". Then he gave another type of roll to another customer from the counter. I worked in a pizza shop but even if I didnt .. assuming a customer is ignorant is bad and the negative attitude from all the counter staff is also bad. I come back because I am a sucker for the pizza. But I am looking for another neighborhood place to eat when I am in the area.

This IS what pizza is supposed to taste like !! Bravo 1) Thin ( but not too thin ) crust.... 2) Sauce on pizza is lively and tangy... not like some crappy tomato paste. 3) Cheese is just perfect... not too much ( some places with mediocre pizza hide their poor flavor with lots of cheep cheese to fool naive customers ). This place is far better than Totonos.... which is no longer good, and has cranky ungrateful Mussolini owners....... PS... this review is based only on the standard triangular Neapolitan pizza... not on square or white or toppings....

i came from Europe here and was in a lot of states... tried a lot of pizza, but nothing i couldnt find similar to real italian pizza.... Delmar pizzeria makes the best pizza!!! im buying it every week even though i live a little far from the pizzeria i still comming there for a couple of slices!!!!!!!! love regular, alfredo, grandmas, vodka! LOVE IT!!!!!!!!! ps... now after i talked about this pizza i will go tomorrow to get one )))))lol

The place was beautifully rebuilt after Superstorm Sandy, but Ive noticed in my last few visits, the restaurant floor needs sweeping, theres trash and paper on the floor and the tables need to be cleaned more frequently. And its not like they cant see this, staff walks by all the time. So naturally you start thinking, whats the non-public area (i.e. the kitchen) look like? The Chicken Francese is great.Friendly guys at the counter too.

Delmar a classic Brooklyn staple. Havent been in a while but this place continues to offer good quality slices as well as other items like Stromboli and calzones. Prices are fair for this neighborhood and they do take credit cards $10.00 minimum contrary to what yelp is reporting (hopefully theyve fixed it) slices are similar to a Neapolitan style slice. Crispy thin and flavorful.

You can not go wrong ordering anything here. Oh their pizza! Old school Italian made the old fashioned way. Their quality is the same as it was when I was six and had a slice of pizza here in 1965 for 25 cents. Most other pizzerias have lowered their quality but not Delmar. See for yourself.

Its amazing every since I was 6 years old I loved coming here with my family there pepperoni pizza and Buffalo Pizza are the best the worlers are great and its always clean makes me want to go in every time its amazing im glad they are here

Love this place. Excellent food and service. Their pizzas are my number one choice in new York. The cooks are so hard working with a great attitude. Very welcoming and friendly venue. I give ten stars for Delmar.

Regular slice was firm and very tasty. Tables had napkins and condiments. A bit noisy. Delmars will certainly benefit from the closing of nearby Bay Pizzeria but so will V&S on Emmons Avenue.

I HAVE Been Eating Here Since 1974. The regular slices are the best well done . Thats how they were seven back in the day. Now they only do it upon request. Try it youll like it.
