Ive been going there since it opened, my wife and I have spent hundreds there over time, Ive never particularly cared about the owner whos not very friendly or the fact that when you stay more than 5 minutes your whole outfit needs dry cleaning because of their poor ventilation, Ive always overlooked these things for the food... Today however, was too much, I showed up 1 minute past five to get a cookie for my son, the place was packed with people finishing their meals yet they would not serve me! the owner herself mouthed a "No" to my disbelieving face peering trough the window. I dont feel particularly entitled but any business refusing service while full of customer to a child who wants a cookie will do without my money... Also, their coffee is the worse Ive ever had, Ive always meant to mention it to them to help but since I wont be going anymore people might as well know. If you must go, have a tea or a lemonade...

Ive never felt the need to give a restaurant review before, but this was probably the worst restaurant experience ever. Came with some friends who heard good things. Points of issue:
- girl at counter was rude
- they advertise unique sandwiches with decent breads etc, but were out of the bread and ingredients and just swiched up our order without telling us
- took away our food and drinks even after we explicitly told them we weren't finished.
Not to mention the place is overpriced and under delivered in food quality. I think the reputation this place has for local and organic foods, allows them to justify treating their customers poorly.

Terrible the last few times. Third time waiting for over 45 minutes for take out. Used to be great. The help and order takers are airheads and cant seem to get anything right and forget that your food is ready, even though you tell them you will wait for it. This was my nth time going there. It used to be favorite, but things have gone idiotic with the help. The food was ready but they forget to notify people is there. I also noticed that sit down service was idiotic, with some getting it right away while others getting stuff like soups waiting as long as I had to. Just avoid ruining your nice day outing. Plenty more around.

I dont understand some of the reviews on here, but people suck. One reviewer had nothing but great things to say and gives 3 out of 5 stars anyway. Another person comes here all the time (maybe because they like it) but has a bad service experience and suddenly, BAM, 1 star! Ive visited multiple times, always on Bahn mi days, always fantastic, always well worth the 30 minutes drive. Thank you Homespun.

Good food, wonderful backyard dining with an overflowing garden. Its not full service though. Order when you arrive, get plastic fruit, pick a table, and food is brought over when ready. It can get busy and they dont take reservations. Good for families. American bistro seems to be the style. A recommended stop for breakfast or lunch in Beacon.

Homespun continues to be a mainstay of Main St.. Their selection of fresh sandwiches, soups and hot dishes is wide enough to keep your interest, but limited enough so as not to overwhelm you. Their baked goods are yummy, as are their breakfast options. You cant beat their egg sandwiches! To stay or to go, Homespun is my favorite.

We stopped late in the day for a quick lunch. It was so spectacular that we couldnt stop with just lunch. The soup was to die for. The side salad was not only quite large, but beautiful with lots of veggies. Great vegetarian options. And the dessert was incredible. the staff was so helpful. The ambiance was just wonderful.

Great place for a home cooked meal... I love the veggie meatloaf!! my favorite for sure. Dont for get the soups that are amazing and lunch in the garden is perfect.. During the colder months the small quaint restaurant is a typical hangout for locals. Nothing fancy, but it doesnt matter.. the food speaks for itself.

Would love to give more stars but the wait time was crazy long for a sandwich to go (20+ mins). I understand its not fast food but you can warn patrons if its going to be a long wait. Generously sized and pretty tasty but I wont be back.

Staff was friendly and attentive. Service was good. Food was average. It wasnt terrible but it was nothing special. I hope they read this and come up with something new and exciting for their menu. Otherwise, I would give them 5

Brilliant place with excellent homemade food. Very vegetarian friendly. Try the killer black bean burger! And ask for extra chipotle mayo :) If you like granola, they have amazing stuff to take home with you.

Lots of good options, but they are all fairly unsatisfying or overly seasoned to make up for the bland ingredients.

Wonderful food even for a picky eater. Good wine choices, great hole in the wall type of place. Nice and cozy.
