Walking around Astoria looking for a shawarma shop we stopped here as the other great shawrma spot was under renovation. Place had a little jam outside as there were a bunch of people ordering togo and waiting. The sitting area inside is more or less like a quick bite stool and table by the wall as the kitchen takes most of the space as it is needed with all the good stuff they have on the menu. Looking through the kitchen you can see all the great kebabs ready to be cooked and all the great lamb, beef and veggie broth trays. We started off by ordering a Chicken kebab , Falafel and kofta sandwiches, also beef and lamb broth platters with a large side order of french fries. Now the taste...... what can i say it just was amazing ...rightly cooked and the orders jsut came out all at same time rather than one at a time so we could all enjoy are food. Party of 5 killed a lot of food and we wanted more. Had a nice discussion with the owners who are Moroccan and gave us a good intro of their food which they said they order fresh meat everyday and marinate it with the basic ingredients ever. Food was right and the way the kitchen worked was every more of a jaw dropper with all the traffic in the store. Do visit if you are in town as you cannot go wrong.

I love food and eating is my habit:)(dont get me wrong Im pretty healthy) I tired every restaurant on steinway st some of them has good food but extremely expensive and some of them has reasonable prices but the food hum let just say doesnt taste good...one day my friend took me to Le Sandwish Hup frankly I didnt expect much I thought it is like other cheap places but their tajines proved me wrong they were delicious. I love"mesemin with honey" my favorite dish is fish and lamb with veg. if you are looking for healthy clean food this is the place to go its the best.

Good food nice service. Place is not big, pretty tiny. It is not a sit and eat kind off place if you are more then two people for sure. Always busy. Although stuff is prety fast and in order. They get variety of grill and prepared food section. I liked their lamb, beef shanks and cheese burgers. Also the Moroccon tea

Dunno about the extended dining room in the back, feels a bit strange. But otherwise, this place has extraordinary braised lamb shanks. A+ for consistency and availability. A+ for value. Rice is not my favorite, but the bread is always amazing. Oh, and the sandwiches are equally great in value and quality.

Came here on a crowded Saturday night and had a $6 tuna sandwich. The sandwich was good enough but I really should have gotten some of the other things. They have soups and rice and fish and it all looked really good. This place is definitely a good value but its pretty tiny and only has 10 or so seats.

My number one place for deliciously seared Rib-eye steak which is grilled to perfection and juicy with natural flavors. Beef gyro is great generously filled with meat and vegetables of your choosing. Mint Moroccan tea is refreshing.
