The Golden Star has friendly service. Other customers puzzling about the great variety of menu items may delay you. The food in one of their "combo plates" is too much for me to eat at one sitting. I dont like the taste of the oil they use to fry their food and naturally the taste of the oil is what defines a fast food place since the oil gives a sameness to all entries on the menu. To me, there is a hint of canola oil or old fashioned Criso shortening to the fried food. Relative to the food in a typical Chinese restaurant, the Golden Star dishes dont have many glazes and sauces. The food isnt very spicy, it isnt salty and its somewhat dry. The fried rice is lightly fried. (I prefer it fried dark brown.) I suppose Golden Star serves a relatively healthy type of Chinese cooking, but I prefer the taste of the traditional un-healthy way.

Ok food. However when they asked me if i wanted the sweet n sour sauce on the side for my sweet n sour chicken i said yes and got a little container of sweet n sour sauce on the side. After reviewing my receipt i noticed they charged me .50 for the side of sauce. Its supposed to come with it yet i was charged extra. There currently is no posting on any of thier menu signs of this additional charge. Yes its only .50 but i dont like the fact they didnt tell me and i had ordered multiple times over weeks before noticing. But multiply how many customers probaly think sweet n sour chicken/pork comes with the sauce without paying extra i bet it adds up pretty quick at the drive thru. Thats my only complaint, portions are best in town and it is quick. I recommend just double checking your total and question if it figures higher than it should.

One of my favorite places in my town. Since its just a super short drive away from my high school this is my go to lunch place. I usually dont pay more than 10 dollars here and one container gets me full unlike the normal lunches served at school. Sushi is pretty good too, about 8 different kinds to choose from, they do take time to make though so order those first if you want some! I also recommend going through the drive through because theres a larger selection than eating in from whats shown when you walk in.

They have lower prices than most places, and a really friendly staff. Their food is good, but it doesnt taste like the Chinese food your used to. So if you want something good, but have no clue what you want, and your not sure if your in the mood for Chinese, then this is the perfect place. Also, I suggest trying the BBQ noodle soup, its huge and awesome if you add a little soy sauce, and it only costs like $4. and the sesame balls are a perfect high protein desert if you like contrasting textures.

I had been this place few times. The food is ok. But I went there last month. They closed. It said the water pipe was brook. The close for 2 days. But I heard the other customers said. They closed it is because the dont pass the health department inspection. And I saw the newspaper talking for that, too. So now I think they dont do very clean and safe food for the business. I will not go back again. Because if the newspapers have show up. That mean is very ...

Love their teriyaki chicken and rice. They give you HUGE portions. Me and my boyfriend went, ordered one plate with two items and rice and we were only able to eat half. We ended up eating the rest for dinner, there was just so much food! And for only around 7 dollars! The staff is very friendly every time we go there. Not the absolute best chinese Ive had but I definitely come here the most.

Food is good. Price is great, which makes the food even better. Service is quick and mostly friendly if somewhat hurried at the expense if pleasantness at times, but it is a fast food place and you wont spend much time waiting in line. Good entrees to try are the BBQ, terriyaki chicken, orange chicken, or beef & broccoli.

One of my favorite restaurants especially for Chinese food. Its pretty cheap, the noodles and rice are delicious and the portions are large. The only thing is during certain times of the day the food tastes better than other times but its usually good. I recommend the teriyaki chicken and boba tea.

We went inside to eat and saw a cockroach when we were walking to the table. It had been raining all day, so I figured it was a water bug from outside. While we were eating a baby roach came to the table. I lost my appetite. We will never go back.

The portions are great if you order from the buffet. If you order from the back one entrée is enough to feed two people they are fast food so dont expect servers but the food is great and then even better for the price.

One word: BLAND. Price was ok but you get what you pay for. Ordered about six things off the menu, nothing to brag about. Their meat wasnt too fatty but not great. Meh....Drive through is a longer wait than going in

Very friendly staff! But food wasnt so fresh, & didnt taste too well. Place is a little run down. Had the shrimp tempura roll, it was basically just deep fried rice. Little to none shrimp and avacodo inside.

Pure joke. They cut way too many corners and it shows in the cooking. "Mongolian Beef" with green pepper and no green onion??? Save yourself the aggravation and hit up China Express. Seriously.

Good food, great service, wonderful price. A very hearty portion that wont leave you hungry. Spicy and flavorful. Save and serve containers a plus. Central location for easy trip.

The food is great here and the customer service is as well. The interior does not appear to be the most welcoming and could use a remodeling especially the mens restroom

Best place for Chinese since 5 brothers closed.. though, they dont give you a lot of meat anymore and most dishes are mostly veggie with a lack of meat..

CLEAN for a Chinese fast food restaurant. Food is great. Better than Panda Express ANY day! Also drive thru is fast and relatively inexpensive.
