I came here for dinner on my birthday and I enjoyed my visit. I was definitely impressed with the variety of margaritas on their drink menu and the couple I did order were delicious, save for the frozen mango which I was surprised was barely any ice in it. The nachos were tasty but portion size is an issue, for $10 I feel like a heaping plate wouldnt be out of the question but they care too much about presentation in my opinion. The combos need improvement since I wanted 3 items but could only order 2, and ended up ordering a 2 combo and a separate 1 combo and had to basically pay for 2 dinners which made my bill go up. The chips tasted fresh and service was very friendly and accommodating - I sat, ate and drank for over 2 hours and not once did I feel rushed out of there. Overall the food tastes authentic and the tequila selection is massive, so it was definitely a good place to splurge on my birthday but maybe not so much for a regular Friday night dinner gathering because of the price.

Well I hate to be the person who writes a bad review but this one I cant ignore. Terrible experience on the service side of this restaurant. Let me start by saying the food wasnt bad. I have been here a few times and I had an okay experience before but the service was terrible this time. They must of been severely understaffed which I can be understanding about but the way it was handled could of been a lot different. The server took at least 10 minutes to greet our table. The sever was never around. The food took over 40 minutes to come out. The server sent out nachos but took 10 minutes to bring out waters. I explained to the server after we were done eating that we would like the bill because we were in a rush to leave. It took 20 minutes to finally get the bill but it wasnt from our server. I had to ask another server if they could bring it to our table and I received a look like I was inconviencing them. Terrible

My family and I are new to this area and wanted some authentic Mexican food. I found Plaza Azteca online and thought wed try it. Well, this was the best find ever. We went on a Friday night and was seated immediately. The service was professional and friendly. Our server Jenny was very knowledgeable and proficient. The prices are reasonable and the portion sizes are just right. My entire family was pleased and therefore I was happy. We left feeling overly stuffed and wanting to come back again soon. I had the fried seafood chimichangas and it was superb. Im definitely gonna try some other entrees on the menu. I gave them 4 stars out of 5 because my fiancés steak was just a little chewy but it was good he never sent his steak burrito back.

Its rare to find places that make REAL Mexican tacos in NJ, so I was so happy when Plaza Azteca moved in. My bf & I loved it after the first time and went back several times a month. Its gotten a lot less busy since opening, I think maybe raising the prices and not being a new place anymore has something to do with that. The food is great but because its more pricey we stopped going as much. We always get the tableside guacamole freshly made you can specify exactly how you like it which is great! The servers are all very nice and helpful. The food is always fresh and consistent, always enough left for leftovers. Definitely worth a try!

Overall good, in fact better than most Mexican restaurants in South Jersey. Traditionally, Mexican food is known for its value. Here you will have to pay a bit more for slightly smaller serving sizes. Again the quality is excellent as well as the flavors so expect more of a high end gourmet experience instead of a family taco Tuesday kinda place. Service was a bit slow. The staff seems to be adjusting to operations still. This place just opened, and Im sure they will eventually speed things up. Again Ill stress that this is more upscale than you would expect from a Mexican restaurant...FYI, my family of 4 ate for $92 including tip.

I went with my husband for dinner, the person who attended us was nice but when they serve the enchiladas with chicken we order was horrendous filled with bones seems the food was a left over from another day!! And the tortillas was hard to bite!! No to mention the cream which they call sour cream was powder milk cooked to the point that was nasty!! Plus the beer they serve to us was flat my husband order a 16oz. Glass in reality was 10oz I was talking With the manager who tell me will take of 40% off the bill with they never didnt because they take 15% !!! really no good dont go to this restaurant

We expected a lot more from this restaurant. We were highly disappointed. It is very nicely decorated inside. The waiter was friendly, we think. It was hard to say if any of them were friendly...they barely spoke english. Thats an issue. We had some menu questions, but could not communicate with our waiter. When the food arrived, it wasnt anything like we expected. My husbands meal looked like a few chunks of meat with a watery gravy on top. Apparently it didnt taste much better either. For the prices on the menu, this place shouldve impressed us more than it did.

We walk and were greeted by the host ... we choose to sit at the bar . We sit there for 10 minutes we are not even greeted by the bar tender . 5 minutes pass someone goes behind the bar and says I will be with you soon , not even offered water or anything. The host brings over a dish of chips and salsa . No one ever comes back to ask if we wanted drinks or take our order. 25 minutes passes we get up to leave with no one ever waiting on us at all . Totally unforgivable. ... sad to say we will probably never be back there .

Made reservations for 15 two weeks ago for tonight. Stopped in a few days ago to make sure everything was set up. Checked in at 8:00 and told my reservation was for 8:30. So I came back at 8:30 and was told they dont take reservations on Fridays and my party of 15 would have to wait. Our party went to bertuccis and had a fabulous evening. Will never bother with your restaurant again. Would not recommend planning a party here unless you have a backup

I never expected to find such a fabulous Mexican restaurant in a local Shopping Center. Great food, delicious drinks, and tableside guacamole are just some of what youll get at Plaza Azteca. After appetizers of tableside guacamole made to order and some empanadas I tried fajitas served to me in a grilled pineapple and I washed it down with a frozen banana Margarita. There is a varied menu with something for everyone.

Worst dining experience Ive had in the last 10 years.....possibly ever. Food was fantastic. The servers cocky attitude 100% ruined my evening. Celebrating my nieces birthday with 8 people and our server constantly talked down to us the entire meal. Disappeared, never cleared plates, raffled food, asked us to pass plates. What kind of service is that?! Ill never ever come back to this location ever
