Horrible experience. Me and my friends were there for a drink during our vacation and we had the worst service ever. They wouldnt serve us because we had Driver License out of state. The bartender took our IDs and she was gone for 20 min because she and her manager had to double check. The manager happend to be from the same state and said that our IDs are not acceptable just because are not from NJ state. The manager was extremely rude and literally walked us out and suggested that we should go down the steet at Tommys Tavern. We are ladies and this was so offensive. First i dont trust anyone with my ID for 20 min doing whatever in the back. Second the way that we were talked to and ask to leave without giving as a chance to order anything - even food was way out of line. Horrible horrible experience. Wasted an hour of our night sitting at the bar with not even a water in front of us and at the end to be asked to leave. Unacceptable!! I would never ever ever go there again.

I dont understand why we couldnt sit outside simply because we wanted dessert and coffee. They werent even crowded. It made us feel like second class citizens simply because we werent ordering a full course meal. Instead, we watched all of the other balcony tables being filled with people behind us from the inside at the high top tables. It really left a bad impression after having excellent experiences at five other locations. I was also embarrassed bringing my parents after raving about the lunch I had here prior. As much as I want to come back, I feel like that policy was made up on the spot. The hostess looked confused as the other employee (maybe young manager?) told us not to sit outside. We were then told to seat ourselves. Our waiter was nice and attentive, however we still couldnt understand the reasoning for what had happened prior. I wonder if Salt Creek Grille will do this when we have dessert there instead

Actually i wasnt able to enjoy this venue..I drove 45 minutes to celebrate my 4 yr anniversary with my fiance and due to my job, I dont feel comfortable having my car velet.parked. I told the parking attendant I cannot let anyone have access to my car and he said "well its a policy, we have to park your car..." and then he instructed me to park BLOCKS AWAY somewhere down the road so instead I went somewhere else. But seriously, whats with parking attendent/ business plan? My girl loves mcloones and I will never entertain patronizing this restaurant again due to their screwed up staff/policies. BIG TURN OFF.

The restaurant and view are worth going. The meals we had for lunch were sub par in both price and enjoyment. Two of us ordered lobster roll which was on a wonderful bread, but that was all you could taste. Very little meat on the roll. Could have gotten a lobster roll anywhere else that would have been far superior. The special of the day, a french dip of some kind was full of fat and grizzle. I do not like to knock an old standby like the Rum Runner, but our experience was memorable to the point, I may only have a drink on my next trip.

Beautiful restaurant with beautiful views. Service was really good. Friendly, attentive when needed, knowledgeable of the menu, and smiling happy faces. I loved the decor, the linens and silverware. The water glasses were beautiful. Our food was really yummy. However, I was a bit disappointed with my lobster roll. Too much bread, and too little lobster. It was chopped up too much. At a hefty price, I would have preferred my mothers salmon big plate . It was delish. Other than that, all was very memorable, and I will definitely be back.

Place looks great, has free valet and has excellent views. Came in with a bunch of people, my filet mignon which was a "chef special" came out cold. They tried to cook me a new one but at this point others were done eating already, so I ate the cold steak rather than have people waiting for me to get food so they could leave. They brought out a few free deserts instead which I cant have for health reasons. $550 later its a Major fail, probably the last time for me. Way to expensive to leave upset.

My boyfriend took me to Rum Runner for my birthday this past Monday. It was our first time going there and it did not disappoint. We got a few of the small plates to split - the coconut shrimp, lobster flatbread, crab cake and calamari. They were all delicious and very filling! Troy was our waiter and he was awesome - very attentive. The view from our table was beautiful. All in all, the location combined with great service and delicious food definitely has me wanting to come back again.

Beautiful location, disappointing and overpriced food. All the cooked seafood I had (lobster, crab, shrimp) felt and tasted like it had been cooked a week earlier and stored in a refrigerator. It was chewy and flavorless. The oysters were way too big and completely lacking in juice - again, seeming like theyd sat out a while. The best item was the lobster bisque, but it came out lukewarm and was cold by the time I finished it. Wouldnt go here again.

Atmosphere was good, restaurant was clean - but when Im paying that amount of $$$, I expect to have my order within a reasonable time (raw clams, crab meat - waited over 30 minutes). Then as if that wasnt bad enough, our dirty plates sat in front of us for another half hour. It appeared that they had plenty of staff, not just very efficient. We left after apps. Also, no water on table or bread.

Overpriced, subpar food...atmosphere is cold...theres no warm and cozy vibe. Buffet is a JOKE at almost $35 per person. Stale bagels/bread, fruit that wasnt ripe, cold waffles, weird French toast, and entrees lacking in both flavour and edibility. I hate giving a bad review, but this place deserves it. If you like tossing money out, and getting nothing in return, then youll LOVE Rum Runner.

Celebrated my Birthday with another couple at Rum Runner Never come back here again Place is beautiful but Food so Bad and Expensive We ordered the special Halibut well It was very dry and tasteless also the seafood pasta with white wine cream sauce there was no cream sauce this dish was dry and tasteless the Bill was almost $400.00 and no one was satisfied ......

Restaurants temperature was strangely cold, which meant the food didnt stay warm. We asked the manager to correct this to no avail. Service was inattentive. We had to ask several times for bread. We would have liked another drink during dinner but waiter disappeared. Lobster bisque was delicious but didnt stay warm due to coldness if the restaurant.

Do not go there at all , They damaged my car they would not take ownership of it . Just a big run around . The manager told me it is a outside subcontractor who they contract with to park the cars, what a load nonsense to pass the buck I was a loyal customer you even did my wedding no more. I hope people read this and stop going.

McCloones is McCloones. The food is ok (actually quite good tonight). The restaurant is much nicer than the old Rum Runner. But Tim McCloone is Tim McCloone and Tim McCloone is a great local guy and locals support locals. Besides, again, foods good, good vibe, and the view is phenomenal.
