I went in to get their $3.99 per dozen special that they advertise after 2pm. Two of my children love sesame bagels, while the third is allergic to sesame seeds. Thankfully, her allergy is not so severe that she has a sensitivity to airborne contamination, but its unsafe to place sesame bagels in the same bag as other bagels she would eat. The owner complained that the only way he could afford to sell the bagels at that price was to keep costs down, and the extra bag would cost too much, and refused to use the 2nd bag, EVEN AFTER THE MEDICAL SITUATION WAS EXPLAINED. I realize that the extra bag may have cost him a few pennies of profit, but in a situation like this, his concern for his customers health was deplorable. I certainly hope the pennies he saved were worth the loss of my current and future business, and the loss of business from any other potential customers with food allergy concerns.

I have also been coming here since Ive been very young--now that I live in Chicago I always crave a good NY style bagel. While it may not be "authentic" in that sense, their bagels and food generally taste delicious and are reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and the food is made quickly and with fresh ingredients. I have been a long term customer and expect to continue to be so many years into the future

This is my second time here. Same order of lox on croissant TOASTED? Whats so difficult to toast damn croissant??? I normally take it to go and run out, so I check it when Im at work already, but come on how difficult can it be? Hire someone who wont look so miserable taking orders and wont f**k up simple thing on the menu.

This store does have very delightful staff but the food itself is way overpriced and I dont appreciate getting a burnt bagel with a piece of plastic in the tiny tiny bit of cream cheese that was on it and eggshell in my egg and cheese. I found a new place to get breakfast at.

Ordered a scrambled egg and cheese on a roll. It came drowning in ketchup. I did not ask for ketchup and it seems like something you should not put on a sandwich if your unsure as ketchup can always be added but not taken away once you drown a sandwich in it.
