Malinche restaurant almost seems like a little treasured secret of rahway. It is located across the union county performing arts center, serving some the most authentic Mexican food Ive tried around here. The place is small with just one server; a nice lady who runs the place, so if it gets busy you might have to wait just a few minutes longer but the food fills you up pretty well, its not very expensive and they have an assortment of different flavored mexican sodas. Their tacos are so damn good (I especially like their tacos al pastor) and they have another dish called Plato oaxaqueno (oaxaca style plate I think) which combines 3 different meats a side of rice and a side of beans and a stack of tortillas. Another really good one to try is the camarones a diabla (diablo shrimp? VERY spicy.) (Small tip; if the food comes with a stack of tortillas feel free to make tacos out of it :) trust me ) Its a friendly atmosphere and by the way its byob but the local liquor stores carry a good selection.

Excellent authentic BYOB Mexican restaurant. I went for the first time with some friends for dinner and went back for lunch the next day. Now its one of my favorite local restaurants and I go at least once a week. The guacamole alone is worth going for. All their entrees are a good size and prices are excellent.

Great Authentic Mexican BYOB. Prices are very competitive and the food is delicious. If you are looking for great, Budget friendly food.. You cannot beat it. I have been here over ten times and its been great every time. Quesadillas, Stuffed pablano pepper and guacamole are excellent.

If Im going to see a play or a concert at UCPAC in downtown Rahway, this is the spot I go to eat before the show. Very friendly service. Food is always amazing, and priced very reasonable. 5 stars all day!
