Millies Old World Meatballs & Pizza lies on a busy street in the middle of Morristown. The pizzeria is unique in the fact that it offers an interesting outdoor/indoor seating area. The outdoor seating area was packed during the lunch hour, but there was ample seating inside. Another cool feature of this establishment is that they offer both wood-fired and coal-fired pizza. After being seated inside by the friendly staff, my girlfriend and I decided to sample one wood-fired pie and one coal-fired pie. For the wood, we went with a standard Margherita. For coal, we couldnt pass up on the signature pie. Both pies came out excellent, but we decided that the coal-fired signature pie had the better flavor. The sauce seemed to be richer in flavor and the crust was more crisp with a subtle, pleasant smokey taste. The base was also crispier with a good crunch. That isnt to say that the Margherita slice wasnt good...quite the contrary, actually! The Margherita slice was also very good with fresh and delicious cheese and good quality sauce. It was just that the signature pie was the better pick in our opinion. While on the expensive side, this pizzeria is a must-stop when in Morristown and I look forward to the next time I can satisfy my taste buds with the ever-delicious signature pie.

Went with a group of 8 people and tried it out after seeing the commercial. We had a reservation and the table was not ready when we arrived and we had to wait another 30 minutes to be seated. Then, the waiter decided to take our order without writing it down. Initially we were impressed as he was able to remember an 8 person order with appetizers. He came back 5 minutes later and had to ask again and this time made note of it. The appetizers took about 20 minutes to come out and were meatballs. They were OK but not worth the price. Waited over 40 minutes for the pizzas and they completely forgot one of the orders. Had to wait another 20 minutes for that pizza. One of us ordered the Fresh Spinach pie. It was suppose to come with goat cheese and mozzarella. There was only spinach and no cheese. We asked the waiter why their was no cheese and he simply said" oh, you dont like it". They took it off the bill but overall was not a good experience at all. The wood fire pizzas are small personal pizzas with 4 slices. Some are over $20 in price which is probably one of the most expensive pizzas around. Plenty of restaurants in Morristown where $20 gives you a much better experience.

Ive been here a few times and the pizza is excellent. It has a very rich flavor and the crust is crunchy but not burnt. Bar none this is the best pie Ive had in north jersey. The inside of the restaurant is overall very clean and well kept. I liked that the big oven is in plain view at the back - it adds a nice touch to the atmosphere. With that said, the service is horrible. They seem to hire kids off the street that have never served before in their life. They dont know whats on the menu, they arent very personable, and they disappear for a long time. One time I asked for extra napkins and another glass of water, and 20 minutes later our server came back and asked us if everything was okay without bringing the napkins or the water. Its sad because the food is so good and I would eat here much more often if they addressed the poor service.

Went here for lunch yesterday and the food here is delicious!!! There were four of us and we shared an antipasto, meatball sandwich and a pizza. Everything is fresh and was so good. The antipasto was a little small for 4 people, but it was still pretty good. The meatball sandwiches are so good (had a meatball vodka parm) and the pizza was really really good, too (had a vodka, fresh mozza pizza). We had a coal fired pizza, but I think I would like the flavor of the wood fired pizza, better. Cool that they have those options. And I must say, I was a little skeptical when I saw meatballs. With some places, meatballs are hit or miss, but Millies makes them perfectly. Almost as good as my Italian Grandmother... but close! Check Millies out... your stomach will thank you. I already want to go back for lunch again today!!!

Ordered 2 pizzas, took an hour and a half to deliver. Didnt mind the wait but did mind the pizzas being cold. Not even a little warm. Called them up tried to talk to Manager. Finally got him on the phone He was unapologetic and kept saying he would send two new pizzas. I told him Ive now been waiting 2 hours to eat and how can he send cold pizza and he tells me when were busy you will almost always get cold pizza. I just said send me my pizzas that i will be waiting 3 hours for and i will go back to my favorite pizza place. I was a very dissatisfied customer and this manager could care less. Very Bad Management

My fisrt time i ordered take out. I got the meatball parm and by the time I got back to work to eat it I was totally disgusted. The meatballs were greasy and there was no sauce or cheese. Im so disappointed and this mess cost me about $9.00 and it was smaller then my hand !!! This is the worst. I could have gone to the city and got the same thing for half the price and better taste. Please avoid this place !!!! Unless your desperate.

been here a few times now. meatballs are barely average. never enough sauce. even when you ask for more they give you a tiny amount. waitress barely comes to your table even when there is just one other table at 2PM. wood fired pizza is excellent with fresh tasting ingredients. most of the reason for 2-stars is for charging $7.50 for 16 oz of coke. really? $3.75 for an 8 oz glass bottle of coke? this isnt NYC.

We have tried Millies on several occasions. The food is fine and the people that have served us have been good too. The problem has always been the amount of time it takes to get an order. We ordered a pizza and salad the last time. The salad came right out, but the pizza took over 1/2 an hour. We ended up asking for it to go.

Service was a bit slow that day, and the enormous meatballs could always use a little more sauce (I think I just really like their sauce, though). But, the meatballs and wood-fired pizza were DELICIOUS, and the server was so friendly and helpful. The dessert menu looked tempting, but I could not eat another bite!

The meatballs and pesto pizza were out of this world. Everything tasted so fresh to me and my companion. It was a long expected trip to this establishment and I am glad I made the trip. I was there on a Sunday afternoon and it was a little dead, but the staff was still attentive to us. Would highly recommend!

It was fine, nothing to write home about. Some weird brown stuff in the ice, they had to dump my soda and bring me another. Followed that up about 30 minutes later with a long black hair under our pizza. Service was adequate and apologetic, but there is much better in Morristown.
